Melvin56:No. Government will not do that. Lagos government has already banned Okada like 2 times now. So anybody riding bike should have known that government is against them. They just didn't think government will seriously strike hard this time around. 1 Like |

dalass: Lagos State government cannot. It is impossible. Lagos should be securing " other sources of income" for Malians, Chadians, Nigeriens, Beninoise etal we did not invite to Nigeria let alone Lagos? Why don't we give them Nigerian passports then? There is always the option for them to go back to where they are coming from. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/05/bandits-posing-as-okada-riders-invade-lagos-3m-trooped-in-within-two-years/amp/?relatedposts_hit=1&relatedposts_origin=1836823&relatedposts_position=1 News of the ban of commercial motorcycles otherwise called okada, in six local government areas of Lagos state, by Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu, this week , did not come as a surprise to many, who considered it as long overdue.

TeeGentle: The majority of the riders are criminals using it to perpetrate crimes in local communities like selling weed, drugs, and other harmful substances in Ogba, Fagba, Agege for example. Also, majority of these riders from the North ride this bike without getting proper licenses/permits from the FRSC. Additionally, they are very reckless and they don't obey traffic rules. Finally, they are very belligerent and are quick to assault and maim you during a confrontation. They are vermins. let them go back to where they come from or behave like normal human beings. |

dalass:Sanwo Olu has sympathy and humanitarian heart. Most of the tins these okada pple are doing now they did not try it during Fashola era and can never try it. They didn't even do quarter of what they are doing now before Fashola ban dem. I have sympathy for the good ones but the aboki causing trouble are much. |

FERNANDEZISBACK:don’t mind him. Everything is seen as politics in this clime. My only problem is that they should have made alternative arrangements before the ban. Okada have their down sides but we must not forget that they had helped in a city like Lagos. |

adenigga: Is there any reason why the govt can’t regulate these drivers, make them licenced etc? What’s the point of seizing and destroying the motorcycles that many use as a source of livelihood. This is wrong. There is now a potential that the jobless Okada drivers will now turn to criminal activity making Lagos for dangerous to live in. |
