We have very weak teams in the qualifiers. Teams that Rohr will struggle against. Even if Peseiro does well agains those teams I won’t still rate him. We need more friendlies like these. And let him pick his players.

Kog45:
Cool baba,Nigeria losing to Ecuador shows that we still have a lot to do,irrespective of players we paraded.....I remember a makeshift SE team beat France in a friendly in Paris. We can't really say much on Peseiro now but he already lost two matches as eagles gaffer, let's see what he has to offer during Afcon qualifier.....Good to see guys talking about how eagles played than talking about losing, seems there is positivity in Peseiro style of play, hope he will delivered.

I will not really talk much about the outcome of the friendlies cos we last won a friendly match in 2019 against Egypt.Peseiro should be aware that Nigerians don't joke with results, hence he need to act fast and bring the winning mentality back into the team.

Semi Ajayi is our best CB at the moment
Ekong saved us on two occasions in the Ecuador match.
Particularly that cross they left to fly in from the right flank. He kicked it out for a corner

I’m aware there’s some positives in not going to the World Cup.
Looking at the groups the embarrassment some African countries would receive though

Ghana would have to beat Korea by a large margin and try to squeeze a draw from CR7 & Jota’s Portugal to stand a chance. They’d definitely lose to Uruguay
Uruguay just gave Mexico 3 nil
Only Senegal stands a chance.

Coaching is still important bruv. If you think this team is full of carpenters then you have forgotten the 2013 team that won the AFCON. Remove Mikel, Moses and Enyeama then you would have seen real experts in woodwork. I still think the team can do something substantial especially in Africa. These same 'carpenters' beat an Egyptian side that Senegal with all its superstars could only put one goal past.

I agree we overhype some of our players alot but to be fair a vast majority of the people on this thread are very frank and honest when it comes to our players ability. A good 3-5 year plan can make us competitive on the world stage but the right manager is crucial to our success.

Still watching Jose and it's early days won't judge him on the results of these 2 friendlies.

Blueelf:
I goal in 2 games from a goalkeeping error on the Mexican GK part

Abeg, these boys na carpenters

At this point, it ain't coaching alone...I think we have overrated these guys beyond their actual abilities

Make una forget....

It will take 10 years of total rebuild to get our football back on track. Hiring and firing foreign coaches isn't the way when your local league is in shambles and there's no template for grassroots development

Like Emenike
Sunday Mba was crucial in our most difficult games
Burkina Faso & Ivory Coast

I believe we need more friendlies outside Africa

Sunday Dare his achieved his aim. he just threw away the efforts of young girls who fought on their own with little support. He can now qualify us for the 20XX world cup with the home based team he has being obsessed with. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with that man. Home based this and that all the time. If he's not against foreign coaches he's preventing players from playing.

4 - 4 - 2
Ejuke/Chukwueze-Ndidi- Etebo/Onyeka-Iwobi
Dennis/Aribo - Osimhen

4 - 3 - 3
Etebo - Ndidi - Aribo
Chukwueze/Dennis/Ejuke - Osimhen - Iwobi

3 - 5 - 2
Aina - Onyeka - Ndidi - Aribo/Iwobi - Bassey
Iheanacho - Osimhen

3 - 4 - 3
Aina - Ndidi - Etebo - Bassey
Dennis/Ejuk- Osimhen/Iheanacho - Iwobi/Aribo

Aribo should be playing higher up the pitch like in his club
Don’t know why they dropped Ejuke the man with pace
He seems quicker than everyone on the flanks.
The match against Ghana our players were tired at 75mins with no pace

ekong needs serious competition in the team and balogun should be allowed to retire

If I were to be peseiro I will blood in younger center backs that will lead the team in the nearest future. The likes of akpoguma, osaze, bassey, ozonwafor etc should be the center backs to choose from going forward with an eye on the future. I believe before the end of next season more players will emerge in europe which will widen our pool the more

You and Balogun needs to retire, he will be invited in the next match and pick man of the match award and you will be here shouting

Dessers will retire Sadiq and Sadiq is not better than Awoniyi. Your order of preference is flawed.

If Dessers played in the low level slow and laboured Segunda Division he would probably be top scorer in the league with at least 20 goals+

I agree with you on both counts, Dessers is better than both Awoniyi and Sadiq and if Dessers was la liga 2 he will most certainly be top goalscorer
