If you've been politically observant, you would notice Emeka Ihedioha craves and has been making subtle moves to become PDP Atiku Abubakar's running mate. Could this be why he declined supporting his kith and kin, Peter Obi's or any other south-easterner's candidacy? A week ago, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal infamously stepped down for Atiku in the PDP presidential primary election. Tambuwal has been lauded, even getting a heroic reception in Sokoto for placing his region ahead of self and friendship in political calculations.


Yet, the jotter remains blank, no notes taken. Ihedioha is friendly close to Tambuwal. Could Ihedioha have been part of terms and conditions for Tambuwal's cooperation? If true, isn't this reprising the role of a pawn? To think Imo State's beloved bride in the 2019 election is (or has been) so eager to play second fiddle, when he could have supported his geo-political zone's cause for presidency nonetheless, reminds Imolites again how unlucky they have been since 1999.


A good number of persons from Imo State you see drumming support for Atiku online or offline are affiliated to Ihedioha. They do so not for a better Nigeria as their sermons claim but largely for personal gains. Their principal in Agodi House, Aso Rock would afford them access to feast as well, they think. Continued relegation of South-east in Nigeria is okay, as long as they are okay. Imolites, when they switch to plan B of seeking the state's governorship seat in the next election, remember these moments. Respond to them also in Ogun State Governor Dapo Abodun's words to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, "We have heard you. We will do the right thing."

Funny how this thread which has been simmering in the politics section since Monday suddenly gets pushed to FP after Tinubu bought the APC ticket.

Note: this is a deliberate ploy to make the ever reactive Igbos begin to clamour and demand that Atiku picks a SE as his running mate.

Tinubu dey play good politics because this chess game he is playing is to put Atiku on the spot to repeat the disaster of an Igbo running mate.

You're mistaken. I clamour for a south-eastern presidency, not a subservient role of vice-president to Atiku or anyone. South-eastern politicians seem to have learnt nothing from Tambuwal, that's a big concern.

Given recent turn of events, most Igbo's won't vote Osinbajo. More so, when Peter Obi is on the ballot. Competency over continuity of Buhari's legacy in government.

The PDP got more margins from the SE than the APC got for the SW in the 2019 elections!!!

The SW could not even give Buhari a margin of up to 500,000 votes which was far less than what Atiku got from Anambra state alone so quit writing rubbish!!

Considering the havoc fulani herdsmen are doing in the country, i don't think any right thinking person from the south, Benue, plateau, etc will go under the sun to vote for a fulani man. Infact, many northerners prefer a southerner that can improve the security in Nigeria. Many Nigerians believe the only reason fulani herdsmen are rampaging the country unchallenged is because their brother is in power.

Everything is not about money, this is the wrong time for any successful party to field a fulani man, but dollars didn't allow pdp have sense. Atiku that couldn't win his own Adamawa state in the last election is who they want to field. Lol. Even if Atiku picks a Bishop from the south, his failure is going to be epic. I will be impressed if PDP comes second.
