It's very easy to profile this scammers OP. Be smart and vigilant. Irrespective of whoever is doing the transfer, don't ever hand over money without a confirmation in your account reason it's cool using Kuda to receive transfer cause traditional banks might dissapoint.

Have experienced this before. He wanted to run me street but didnt succeed. The debit alert on his phone has my bank account names which I was surprised but I insisted I must see the reflection of the money in my account before I handed over the money. The Werey even said I should give him the money that shebi I saw that he has been debited. Till today I haven't set my eyes on him and 45k for just go like that.

why would you give money without confirming the transaction .
am also running POS business and I do take transfer , even if it will take a whole day for me to confirm , both of us will wait o .
because someone has done fake transfer to me before and I told him , if I did not see it on my mobile app no payment , we waited for more than 2 hours no alert , he was shouting saying he has done it that it has enter my acct , I said baba if I did not see it on my mobile app no payment , Goan call police . so don't ever give out cash without confirming no matter the pressure

Hello comrades, am reporting from Lagos vawulence branch.

I run a POS business in Somolu, Lagos State.

On 22nd of July 2021a guy came to my shop to withdraw money via USSD transfer he claimed he doesn't have an ATM card.

He showed me the alert but that was not enough evidence to pay him so I tried login in to my access bank app to confirm the transaction but all effort was futile cos the network was so bad. He stay over 15 minutes while I kept trying to access my bank app. Normally scammers are always in an hurry to get their transaction done so he got me with his patience.

After trying to no avail, i collected his phone number and called the number in his presence to be sure it was correct, afterwards i gave him the money (25k) my greatest mistake.

Later in the day when the network was stable I realized that the money didn't drop in my account, I reached out to him immediately and he blocked me, I used other numbers and he did same.

True caller brought out his name as David Samuel Ogbonna, I searched Facebook to get more information about him but didn't get any.

Luckily for me he joined telegram few days ago with his real picture. I reached out to him with my other number and he blocked me again.

Please, I need you all to help me recover my money and make his picture go viral to alert people of his dubious act.

Below are his picture, number, chats from last year and the recent chat.
Phone Number: 08035961307

Thank you all ❤️
I can help you but if I ask for a fee now, you will say I want to scam u too

I just spoke to him now and I asked him if is an igbo man he replied and said proudly igbo.

I told him I am also an igbo man and that he should take note that he duped a lady and that his pictures are all over the Internet on this matter,so I heard a lady at the background saying, who is that? And I told him to get back to the lady and returned the money as soon as possible.

He,thereafter dropped the call which I never called back.

God bless you boss, he has reached out to me confirming that he has been receiving calls from Nairaland and Facebook. He said he would send the money on Monday but I insisted on getting my money today, Friday (10/06/2022)

begging a scammer to send you your money back is a waste of time....next time, NEVER EVER hand out money until the transaction has been confirmed. the dude had a network jamming/blocking device so you couldnt log in!
I don't think so, but according to the op, he said he called him, and the call went tru, if he had a network jamming/blocking device, the call wouldn't have gone tru
Re: ! by Preferito(m): 2:41pm On Jun 10, 2022
I'm not sure that's his real picture. These bastards are part of the most heartless people on earth. Search for the picture on google and see where it will be traced to. There is a website where one can search for the real source of an image. Though I can't remember it. Moreover there are many scammers on nairaland. May their end be terribly bad.

There is something fishy about this story.
1). #25k is lot of money for POS operator to just dash away like that without proper confirmation of the transaction.
2). Maybe it is another transaction gone wrong
3). Involving social media means she wants to disgrace him, but in a reasonable sense she could have involve police if she wants justice.
Just my thoughts
see, you don't know these scammers.
A man with army uniform once claimed to make a transfer of 100k to a POS girl working for someone I know.
the money didn't drop , but the man used uniform/threat take collect the money (the POS girl na small girl though).

This is wrong and he could be fake.

@OP, insist on collecting immediately, that Monday may never come. He should go and borrow to pay if he doesn't have. Money matters like this, sometimes your patience may be counterproductive.

Their tactic is to jam the network so that both pos and transfer transactions will not go and you will be forced to pay them

Be wise
