Good morning everyone.... Trust we had a good rest...

Can anyone help with useful information on
1. Qatar and Turkish airlines packages which is better...

2. The layover time of Qatar is it really 2h 10mins or it's always 8hours plus..needed to be sure can it be 2h... thanks thanks in anticipation...

Both Airlines are good. However, Qatar is better - if the price is right, go for it.

Qatar has 2 hours layover. Usually a little over 2 hours. So, if it is available, go for it.

I'm about applying for visa for my mum, can 3months be enough for her statement of account?

If that is what is available, use them. If you can get up to 6 months, do that.

Honestly, It's getting upsetting as i did my biometrics since May 5th. What exactly are they reviewing that cannot be concluded in 6 weeks. The ukraine palava just gave them a perfect excuse to delay applicants further.

They should also consider that people have other commitments tied to their travel documents and should at least process applications within the defined timeline. I have an IELTS exam to write next weekend and if they don't respond in time, i have to re-schedule for the 2nd time and pay another 22k.

First time or renewal? I’m already tired and want my passport back. Family of 5 since May 12th. Sent two paid mails. Latest update was yesterday - awaiting decision for everyone. Mind you, ours is 3 renewals and two fresh applicants. Renewals has been 3 weeks max for 90% of applicants. What are they reviewing sef?

Good day everyone. I'm going to get another UK visit visa soon, and my dad too. Would he need to do biometrics again, because i was thinking I could stand for him.

stand for him like how? like your biometrics should be used in his place? not possible. So if he gets to the UK border, how will he enter without biometrics? everyone does biometrics.. i am unusre if there is a different legislation for above 70 yrs if applicable to him

What I meant was this: if he is required to do biometrics again, he has to go to the application centre. However, if he is not required to do biometrics again, does he need to go and submit his documents or can I do that for him instead? As per, just submit the documents on his behalf. Of course I can't use my own biometric data for my father.

Hello house

I have been a silent follower of this thread for long, I have been denied visit visa 2x.

I am self employed and earn the following since the beginning of the year:

January 2022 - N400,000
February 2022 - N453,000
March 2022 - N400,000
April 2022 - N 467,000
May 2022 - N517,000
June 2022 - N484,000

I have submitted online and will soon go for biometric and claim 100k to be my monthly expenses and 5m for my annual income however I realized now I actually spend up to btw 110 to 120k monthly but other times less than 100k.

Do you think I should leave it that way or address it on cover letter

Thanks

Is your additional section filled?. If no. Explain in there your monthly earnings why it varies and explain that on average your monthly expenditures is 110-120k but average 100k as would be required
If yes to my above question. Add a cover letter and do a bit of explanation and ensure it kind of correlates to your 5m annual earnings. Good luck

The form has already been filled and submitted and only the cover letter option is left for me if need be.

My total earnings for six months is 2,721,000 Naira hence my claim of 5m Naira is right and without other deposits from other source as I had been refused in the past due several large deposits.

I would be glad if other fellows can contribute their own opinions too. As in if it’s really necessary to add a cover latter.

you have 2 refusals on your back… your chances are 50/50… even without the issue with your finances you need a letter to address your previous refusals… also there is never any rush with past refusals.. try and do your best.

Ofcourse you can tender any account you so wish… they are however not interested in type of currency and/or account balance. They want to make out your financial situation via your account statement ie.. how you make your money, is it sustainable, will a trip be possible from such background without breaking the bank, will this person return back to home country due to their financial comfort etc

Thanks for your input

All of my refusals have been about 1x insufficient balance and rest several large unexplained deposits with last time that my brother permit expired around the time of my visit. This time around I made sure there’s no single other deposits aside from my company account and my Uk based brother already renewed his permit who’s hosting me with her British wife. I know have past refusals against me but I’m also hoping that my travel history- 4 Schengen visa could work in my favor.

What do you think

Hello I hope this thread will serve this purpose too.

I'm going to the UK for study, I have secured admission,
School fees will be paid with the week.

So I'm wondering the next thing to do if I should go ahead and do tuberculosis test. I don't have a CAS yet cos I've not paid my tuition.

Please Advice!
