izang87: 491 is a work visa. No one can say. Fitter usually doesn’t require much points except there is a change in the new Financial year. What is the reason for family coming to join later? Personally, I’m not for it cos the stress of the application can be taken care once and for all and you all don’t have to land at the same time. You can land first then they rest of the family can join later. 2 Likes |

@tunlex01...I greet you the Aussie oracle Please I would like to seek a clarification .I have gone through WA guidelines for 22-23 year and seen some videos too. There seems to be a caveat that says for offshore applicants to stand a chance of being nominated, they need to have a job/contract for at least 12 months. Now I do not know if I am the one that is not getting the context well as this is also a requirement for onshore applicants(who are of more priority) or same applies to offshore too. And if so, how do you think that will work ?I mean like I have to look for a job say on seek.com.au and let the employer know I am applying for a 491.something like that...please help shed light on this if truly the requirement means an offshore applicant must have a job first Thanks for all you do and may God ease your own affairs too. |

soulamanne:WA does not nominate from offshore. They restrict their nominations to only their graduates or resident of the state. In this financial year ending in few days, they decided to extend to all state and offshore but you need a job offer. No, when you get a job offer, the employer will nominate you for employer nominated visas such as 482. You can decide to switch to 491 or 190 depending on your circumstance upon landing. There is no employer sponsored 491. 1 Like |

EngrCGD: Which university did your spouse graduate from? that is very important if she will get a positive assessment or not. Check the occupation you can nominate. Look beyond mechanical engineer as it's very competitve. Visit www.anzscosearch.com You may need to register on the website to view the details below On the top middle page click "Lists" (on a laptop/computer) or click the Hamburger sign (3 horizontal lines) to select "Lists" if you are using a mobile device Go through the 3 lists MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL Click any of the occupations that best relate to what you do. When you click the occupation, scroll down to 'Anzsco code' and scroll to 'Tasks' Check if the tasks relate to the occupation you have selected. Revert here with occupation(s) you deem relate to what you do and we will take it up from there |

tunlex01: Thanks for your reply @tunlex01 My wife graduated from Anambra state university. Same as me. Please note: We have a farm, which my wife and I manages as a side business, it’s registered as a business name in 2020 with my wife and I as proprietors note we have the registration documents and bank account under the farms name, it’s not registered as a limited liability company, we primarily deals on egg production, broilers, we just started the pig rearing of late. I could see the mixed livestock farmer in the ROL ( Regional Occupation List ) . There is also the Poultry farmer under STSOL Engineering manager - MLTSSL Mechanical engineer - MLTSSL Biochemist - MLTSSL Medical laboratory scientist - MLTSSL Fitters - Welder -MLTSSL Mechanical engineering technician- STSOL Mechanical engineering draftsperson - ROL All the above occupation applied to both my wife and myself. Including the poultry farm as our side business. Honestly I’m confused. I know we were advised to ask questions and share all information here on this platform so others can learn. But Please there is something very very confidential I must share with you privately first, if you allow me I will share it here afterwards, we don’t know who might be viewing this thread at any point in time. please I kindly crave your indulgence to write you personally via email after that we can proceed from here. Thanks Waiting for your reply. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 4:48pm On Jun 26, 2022 |
EngrCGD:Any 4 year degree from Ansu cannot assess a level 1 occupation with Vetassess because it’s regarded as an Associate degree and not Bachelor’s. In your wife’s case, she can’t assess as a Biochemist. Also, she’s not a medical laboratory scientist, she only works in such organisation as a biochemist. These two are different occupations. Also, the mixed crop thing won’t work as neither of you has a degree in agricultural related courses. In your case, you have 5 options. Go through the tasks and rank them in the order of the relatability to your current role using the job descriptions, We can also review data of which occupation has the better prospect. |

tunlex01: Dear tunlex01 Thanks once again for your swift responds. It is gradually becoming clearer and clearer to me now. I would like to know, since you mentioned that 4 year degree in Ansu is regarded as an associate degree. What will be in my case since I graduated in same school and did only 4 years , mechanical engineering is 5 years course but because I already had 2 years Ordinary diploma in same MECH engineering, i started from 200L on a direct entry level , so does it mean in my case my B.Eng will be regarded as an associate degree ? Also does the OND certificate contributes positively to this process ? Before now, I have the intention to further my studies, is a masters degree relevant in this pursuit ? A friend in Australia is strongly advising I use the 186 employer nomination scheme. But I need your expert advice and the one from the house here. On which best route or path to follow. Is my utmost heart desire to practice in Australia as an engineer. As regards to Writing the CDR and the career episode, I’m already sensing these will pose as a serious challenge for me, please is there a way I can go about it. Finally I still crave for your indulgence to have a one on one conversation through email or even phone conversation if possible. I do like to disclose a very confidential and important information about my immigration history and I will need your expert advice. Please Can I start by writing you an email ? I look forward to hearing from you soon. |

Good day house, good to be here, please guys I'm new here and I need advise and guidelines on how to go about my applications. Thanks you. @tunlex01 |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 1:18am On Jun 27, 2022 |
EngrCGD:You will need to attach your OND certificate and transcript and also let them know it’s a direct entry due to previous qualification. Yours will still be regarded as a Bachelors degree. Masters degree is not relevant for you in this case. It’s a need-to-have not a must-have. Have you found any organisation willing to offer you a 186 visa? Have you applied or done any interviews? Most (not all) companies don’t offer 186 to offshore applicant but they do offer 482. What challenge is that? CDR is just about your experience. If you don’t want to assess with EA, your other option is to assess with TRA. You don’t need CDR for that. You only need complete documentation. You can send an email to me using Nairaland |

Hello everyone. Please i would like to know if i would get a positive assessment. I am 32, will be 33 in october, i studied chemistry education for both b.ed and m.ed from uni of abuja and uni of lagos respectively. My only work experience is as a primary school teacher. And i checked, primary school teaching is not on the list of skills except nominated by a state. Now the next best option for me is early childhood teacher, but the documents needed for the skills assessment emphasises that my education should emphasize the age of children i was trained for. Both of my degrees do not indicate which age of children i was trained for. How do i solve this issue please. My other concern is that my degrees seems as if i was trained for seconday school teaching. But i don't have experience in this atall |
