I would have done same thing for my kids. Whether he's a politician or not doesn't matter, no responsible father would allow his kid suffer without making a MOVE. A movie titled John Q has all the answers to how desperate a man can go to protect his kid when sick.
That's different... Denzel Washington was willing to die to give his kid his heart. He wasn't trying to exploit anyone. He held the hospital hostage because his son should have gotten the heart transplant sooner...... But this man here, wanted to use someone's child. Be that as it may, they should have just helped the poor boy since he was already in the UK, as a willing participant.

Absent minded dishonorable Honorable, you think the case is in Nigeria where everything is buyable. No diplomatic immunity nor pressure will work, if you like take the entire National Assembly including the building and seats and go and Assemble in the UK, that will not have any impact on this case. UK is civilized and you people and this kind of reasoning have made Nigeria uncivilized

I can only shake my head at your crooked way of reasoning.
The boy is insignificant in the eyes of moronic Nigerians like you and Ekweremadu and that's why he was targeted for organ harvest. But in the eyes of UK government, he's a human being worth protecting.
Ekweremadu is a diplomat but a criminal. Thank God, Oyinbos don't have worship mentality like you ignorant folks here.
Nnamdi Kanu is in detention and Nigeria government wouldn't entertain any move from UK (which I support anyway). But this is an opportunity for UK government too to fvck Nigeria government. Strong diplomatic tie my ass.
They don't stand a better chance, you should have seen what awaits them going by their bail denial.

Oh, the doctors should have proceeded anyway when they saw the discrepancies in the ages of the boy and what was on his passport? They should have gone ahead even when they realised that the kid either didn't know what he was about to do or didn't know that his decision was a life altering decision?
The boy is in UK government protective custody and his kidneys will be intact.
Your opinion is trash

Don't mind them. Someone whose kidney was about to be harvested to save the life of another is now an insignificant person.

That boy was about to be taking advantage of, 15 or 21 years old ,it doesn't matter. Nobody is going to tell me that he was aware of the full implication of donating a kidney at that age even if he gave his consent.

This is a clear case of trying to take advantage of an homeless innocent young boy who Iis ignorant and not well informed of the decision he was about to make.

He was also deliberately targeted because they knew he had know one to advise him. Nobody has heard from the boy's parents or siblings or relatives.

It is wicked exploitation .The Nigerian Senate should also be fighting for justice for the boy too

Now that the Nigerian authorities have officially confirmed the age of the boy, it will be a very narrow chance for him not to take the hammer. He is after all an insignificant person and Ekeremadu being a diplomat and all, given Nigeria's strong diplomatic ties with the UK, the later stands a better chance.
Whoever advised that boy didn't mean well for him, in my opinion.

What makes the boy insignificant? Are you yourself significant? The person you call insignificant is presently being protected by the UK govt and the person you call significant is in jail

But frankly, Ekweremadu's case is a diplomatic headache for UK, not only diplomatic headache, if the case isn't handled correctly it could taint the image of UK and could cause an uncomfortable anti social in UK as well.

Some People would view this case from the lens of "Rich against poor" indeed Ekweremmadu occupies a top position that could have made the life of David better.

There's no normal, have a job 21 year old that would be willing to part with their kidney for someone not related to them. But Because of inability of the govt which Ekweremmadu occupied a very important position to provide infrastructures and amenities to help the poor to get a toe hold on the social ladder, David "allegedly " was willing to sell his kidney to survive. So some people will look at the case from this lens, Rich using the poor at will.. poor man die, Rich man lives.. Rich keeps getting richer and living longer at the expense of poor masses and Ekweremmadu happens to be a high ranking politician as well.

Also on the social impact on this case, depending on how it was handled the outcome.. many people with similar criminal case will be running to the court to overturn their convictions or reduce sentence or acquit them .. this is a criminal lawyers bread and butter grin but this does damage a country's legal system.

On the diplomatic side, UK doesn't want to be a safe haven for anyone to feel comfortable to commit a crime in no matter their diplomatic status , they don't want to be safe haven for anyone to come in to finalize any criminal intent or criminal action or activities so they are threading very carefully..

Also, regardless of the outcome of the case, UK might not have any option than to offer asylum to the David guy understanding how powerful Ekweremmadu is in Nigeria politics and how even his own state government of Ebonyi state are leaning on support for Ekweremmadu.. they might not have a choice to offer him an asylum and if his family receives threats, they might offer them asylum as well.

Since Ekweremmadu is a politician many people don't even want to hear the details of the case, they want him to stay in jail for life grin
Well said, UK are not demonic like our politicians here. I pray they grant that young man assylum.

Mark my words, we were colonized by these people and they are the foundation in which we built our government, legal system and constitution. They didnt just wake to make law against modern slavery and organ harvesting. Ofcourse they know that people might be pressured to part away with vital organs of their body for monetary gains, they also know that if they allow such in the society then human race becomes an endangered species , hence the law. Ekweremadu and his cohorts thinks its all about power and influence back here in NIgeria, hmmm, he and his wife wife will face thorough scrutiny.

At the topic, don't mind the hypocrisy of some Nigerians. When it's about them, they will do all to save themselves or their own but when it's about another person, they will rather wish him death irrespective of the person's innocency or legitimate cry for justice.
Ekweremmadu only did what a father should do to save his dying child now the bitter souls in Nigeria wants him hanged. These same people shouting that Ike Ekweremmadu did not do this or that are the same people warming up to vote for Tinubu or Atiku and castigating and hating on Peter Obi who will definitely better their miserable lives.

Put your only son in the position of the innocent homeless boy. Either the boy is 15, 21, 22 or 41 and either there was consent or no consent, what the Ekweremadus did is morally wrong everywhere in the world and it is legally wrong in sane countries like UK. Organ harvesting is a criminal offence in UK. Remember that white men don't have evil soul like yours. I promise you, wicked Ekweremadu and his over bleaching wife will rot in jail in a foreign land.

Does Ekweremadu not have kidneys? Why will he choose to use the kidney of a 22 years old man for his daughter? How old is Ekweremadu? He should be there one to donate his kidney to his daughter,he is older than David, a child buries his parents and not the other way round.
David is too young to donate his kidney.
This is wickedness.

Nigeria leaders impoverish nigerians so they can take advantage of there situations, by organ harvesting and vote buying.
They make Nigerians poor, so they can buy nigerians kidneys and vote.
They deliberately destroyed our economy,so they can achieve all there evil purpose.if you know you know.

How can you take someone's child and brother?
Only that boy cant take such decision, is he the one that gave birth to himself? When he dies tomorrow, his relatives will start mourning.
Lets be careful, nobody fell from the sky, we all have guardians and relatives, loved ones even if they are poor.

Is it "you people" that arrested and accused the Ekweremadus of organ harvesting of innocent homeless kid in UK when they were trying to japa enroute Turkiye?
For your information, I have found myself in such desperate situation thrice before. I left everything to God, not trying to exploit naivety or innocence of my fellow human. What Ekweremadus wanted to do is against the law of God and the law of United Kingdom. It is only in Nigeria that you see rich men as super humans but see poor men as sub humans. Ekweremadu as a lawyer knew the right, moral and legal way to go about it but he chose the crooked path because of nigeriaism that is in him. My joy is that the court case is happening outside Zoogeria where his bigmanism amounts to absolute nothing.

Mind you, nigerian government cannot save him. If UK government cannot save Chief Sunday Igboho from Benin Republic, if UK government cannot save Revolutionist like Nnamdi Kanu from Nigeria government, how much more a criminal like Ike Ekweremadu and his over bleaching wife. If it pains you, you know the fastest thing to do.
