Going forward, no one in their right senses will buy a 2007 vehicle. Just save up to get a 2013. They all cost the same to clear

He is even lucky because the E350 is in customs database and he should be able to clear both with about 4.4m. Yours would have been cheaper but I'm sure you had the same issue as I had.

Your vehicle is not in their database and you were at the mercy of rogue customs officers who just slammed anything they wanted on you as surface duty.

Thank God you were able to raise money.

Get the red topm111 engine, that's what I drive, bulletproof engine, tho it's year is 2000 - 2002, but you can still upgrade the instrument cluster, radio and climate control to match that of 2005 model

I usually see some car owners using nylon/Polybags to cover SAM front and back SAM, is it really advisable?

when you change back sam on w164 at 180k twice, the revelation for nylon usage will come by force.

was there any recall for that, the 2010 ml 350 has same issue with the back boot too thereby damaging the back sam when it’s raining

back boot isn't the problem but the tail light. There is a rubber seal at the right tail light that degrades over time and allows water to seep into the compartment for the back sam. The seal is sold online.

The only part I don't support is them not pre-informing importers like 3-4months ahead of the new directive.Sad.

They pretty much admitted to it in the link below. They even said vehicles below 2013 were supposed to be seized and confiscated. It is out of empathy they are even allowing us clear 2003 vehicles with 2.2m

Chairman, I don suffer for Mercedes hand in recent times.
My 06 e350 made a funny clinking sound one morning stopped abruptly on the road and never started again( after series of diagnosis was advised to change engine as it is not rebuild able)
Bought a c230 07 for re sale, run and drive good milage, no accident history) loss was recorded as " other" on the auction site.
Vehicle came in and wont start, it actually came in with no oil in it, put some oil and they it came on but wldnt run smooth and reported all cylinder misfire. Had to eventually change the engine after no solution.
Works fine now and no error code.
I don suffer my brother.
Ohh I forgot to say I cleared the car a 2.3m so now I am stuck with a 5m(cost of landing and repair) 07 c230

I currently have one registered ML350 2012 the guy man just brought it in, registered it in Lagos then they drove it to Enugu his place of residence and he only used it the little time he was around and after that parked it at his friend's compound and travelled back to obodo oyobo now wifi asked him to sell it since she can't drive

Car has only done just 3500km since 2019 it came in.

It will be a good buy for you if you do not mind instead of going through the stress like other guys up there, just buy and drive home.

With current reality it will be very difficult to find a 2011/12 c300/350 for 6m.
Also right now I doubt if you will find any foreign used car below 4m.
Except the seller doesn't plan on replacing the car
