"Get justice" can actually go both ways,.

If he is innocent, getting justice means getting free and those who falsely accused him facing the music.

If he is guilty, getting justice means getting the punishment the crime he committed deserves.

You're writing rubbish. David is man enough to decide what he wants. If he had received awards would you have rated a "small boy" or if he had gotten a girl pregnant , won't you have asked him to man up and take care of his responsibility?
You are focusing on the minor part of the case which is age. What about the consent part? Can Ekweremadus produce written agreement or financial transaction that suggests there was oral agreement?

The major issue gangan is that human trafficking, exploitation and organ harvesting are criminal offence. It is just like murder and terr-orism.

Organ harvesting ke...? Do you people really understand the magnitude of the words you use some times?
Well, I pray you find yourself or your family members in a critical health situation that might require organ transplant or blood infusion then let's see what you will call it.
It is what it is. Organ harvesting is defined as a surgical procedure that removes organ for reuse, and that is exactly what the Ekweremadu's were attempting to do. Is organ harvesting a crime? It depends on whether the laid down procedures are adhered to. The backlash on the Ekweremadu's may be much especially when you consider this whole episode revolves around an attempt to save their loved one from dying, but that's the state of the rot created by political class. People will have no pity when it's your turn to be tested.

John Q by Densel Washington I think so... That's a wonderful movie.

At the topic, don't mind the hypocrisy of some Nigerians. When it's about them, they will do all to save themselves or their own but when it's about another person, they will rather wish him death irrespective of the person's innocency or legitimate cry for justice.
Ekweremmadu only did what a father should do to save his dying child now the bitter souls in Nigeria wants him hanged. These same people shouting that Ike Ekweremmadu did not do this or that are the same people warming up to vote for Tinubu or Atiku and castigating and hating on Peter Obi who will definitely better their miserable lives.
You are right every parent will do as much as lay down their life for their child...most people are not saying don't do that. But ofcourse every sacrifice has a price. Good of him to want to try to save his daughter and I hope the daughter finds help but the law is the law

I can only shake my head at your crooked way of reasoning.
The boy is insignificant in the eyes of moronic Nigerians like you and Ekweremadu and that's why he was targeted for organ harvest. But in the eyes of UK government, he's a human being worth protecting.
Ekweremadu is a diplomat but a criminal. Thank God, Oyinbos don't have worship mentality like you ignorant folks here.
Nnamdi Kanu is in detention and Nigeria government wouldn't entertain any move from UK (which I support anyway). But this is an opportunity for UK government too to fvck Nigeria government. Strong diplomatic tie my ass.
They don't stand a better chance, you should have seen what awaits them going by their bail denial.

Oh, the doctors should have proceeded anyway when they saw the discrepancies in the ages of the boy and what was on his passport? They should have gone ahead even when they realised that the kid either didn't know what he was about to do or didn't know that his decision was a life altering decision?
The boy is in UK government protective custody and his kidneys will be intact.
Your opinion is trash
So you think a Senator who has been within the corridors of power for many years just woke up one morning and decided it's okay to illegally bundle a minor out of the country and harvest his kidney without his parents or guardians consent? Well it's because of the greedy nature of man that would make the young boy renegade on his agreement when he was told his kidney won't work and he's to return back to Nigeria.
I wonder how you guys just make up "expert assumptions" based on the limited fact about the matter in public purview.
Well the matter is in court now and I'll revert when we get full judgement. He thinks because of Nnamdi Kalu, the insignificant boy will be a dark horse for The British government. You're the one who should wake up from your delusions of grandeur.

Most of you are being sentimental with your responses. Ekweremmadu could not have taken the buy without having a secured agreement with him. Why are you guys shying away from the fact that the boy has absorbed the "Japa Mentality" while here in Nigeria? It is very obvious that the boy reneged on the agreement when he saw that his staying in the UK might not become a reality again.

Is it "you people" that arrested and accused the Ekweremadus of organ harvesting of innocent homeless kid in UK when they were trying to japa enroute Turkiye?
For your information, I have found myself in such desperate situation thrice before. I left everything to God, not trying to exploit naivety or innocence of my fellow human. What Ekweremadus wanted to do is against the law of God and the law of United Kingdom. It is only in Nigeria that you see rich men as super humans but see poor men as sub humans. There's is fairness outside our evil jungle called Nigeria.

If you're not yet a father then shut up because you don't have any idea what a father with a dying child goes through.

I am happy am a good father and not an evil father like Ekweremadu. A good father would not use the life of an innocent 22 years old homeless guy to redeem the life of his 27 years old daughter, even when there is better alternative. What he was doing was exploitation of the ignorance, naivety and innocence of the poor vulnerable boy but he failed, all thanks to Doctor Harry. You would be able to judge right only if you put yourself in the place of the boy's father.

Even the wicked Ekweremadus can not donate organs from themselves or any of the Sonia's three siblings. What about Sonia's boyfriend or is she a virgin?

Which one of his family members was taken alongside him to UK? Or you think a 21 year old boy "donating" his organ to a total stranger doesn't deserve to have one of his family members standing beside him?
Which one of his family members have Ekweremadus claimed to be aware of this trafficking in person and intending organ harvest?
Which one of the family members had come out to say that they were aware and gave their blessings.

Well it's because of the greedy nature of man that would make the young boy renegade on his agreement when he was told his kidney won't work and he's to return back to Nigeria.

What agreement are you making with a strayed, vulnerable 21 years old boy that you literally kidnapped on the street without the knowledge of his parents? Evil and criminals everywhere!

I wonder how you guys just make up "expert assumptions" based on the limited fact about the matter in public purview.

It is not about "the insignificant boy", it is about senator Ekweremadu, you don't get it.
Meanwhile, that same mentality of looking for a vulnerable kid, the insignificant citizen led Ekweremadus into this pit they now found themselves. No one is insignificant, most especially when not in some shitty countries

Do you know Ekweremadu campaigned against Obi and addressed Nigeria community in UK before days his arrest? He disguised as a diplomat because of his evil intension. Which good father would do that when his daughter is between life and death? And mind you, the daughter's sickness is not recent development. Everything started last year.

They are just trying to save one of their own grin

But frankly, Ekweremadu's case is a diplomatic headache for UK, not only diplomatic headache, if the case isn't handled correctly it could taint the image of UK and could cause an uncomfortable anti social in UK as well.

Some People would view this case from the lens of "Rich against poor" indeed Ekweremmadu occupies a top position that could have made the life of David better.

There's no normal, have a job 21 year old that would be willing to part with their kidney for someone not related to them. But Because of inability of the govt which Ekweremmadu occupied a very important position to provide infrastructures and amenities to help the poor to get a toe hold on the social ladder, David "allegedly " was willing to sell his kidney to survive. So some people will look at the case from this lens, Rich using the poor at will.. poor man die, Rich man lives.. Rich keeps getting richer and living longer at the expense of poor masses and Ekweremmadu happens to be a high ranking politician as well.

Also on the social impact on this case, depending on how it was handled the outcome.. many people with similar criminal case will be running to the court to overturn their convictions or reduce sentence or acquit them .. this is a criminal lawyers bread and butter grin but this does damage a country's legal system.

On the diplomatic side, UK doesn't want to be a safe haven for anyone to feel comfortable to commit a crime in no matter their diplomatic status , they don't want to be safe haven for anyone to come in to finalize any criminal intent or criminal action or activities so they are threading very carefully..

Also, regardless of the outcome of the case, UK might not have any option than to offer asylum to the David guy understanding how powerful Ekweremmadu is in Nigeria politics and how even his own state government of Ebonyi state are leaning on support for Ekweremmadu.. they might not have a choice to offer him an asylum and if his family receives threats, they might offer them asylum as well.

Since Ekweremmadu is a politician many people don't even want to hear the details of the case, they want him to stay in jail for life grin

Thank you

Can you explain more about Ekweremadu's diplomatic status? Does he hold a diplomatic passport and if he does, how was he able to be arrested as I would think that that would have given him immunity ? Do Nigerian politicians who enter the UK for non-diplomatic reasons always carry their diplomatic passport?

I was not saying it is bad of him campaigning against Obi after all that is part of democracy. My point is to counter your point that he was in desperate situation because he is a father. If he was so desperate to the point of luring to exploit an uninformed guy, he wouldn't have had time for campaign and meeting. That means his action was not really because of desperation.

At the bolded, you are right. But at the same time, in the context of the matter we are discussing, it is a criminal offence in UK. It is a non-bailable offence like murder, arm robbery and terrorism. That's why they can't grant him bail. His jail term is as sure as the rising of the sun.
