Raw truth, I have a friend that was earning more than 280k here in Nigeria before traveling to UK. Even Med.Dic don't earn that much.

You peolpe comparison is not always make sence.How many radiographer do u have compare with doctor self. Can they function alone.they are what we call anxiliary to medicine

They are both professional courses but if you are aiming to practice in Nigeria go for radiography because most of them combines the practice with medical laboratory in terms of private practice and they make it big but if you want to leave the country better go for nursing. They make it bigger out there. I'm telling you with experience. I have a private medical laboratory but currently studying medicine and surgery. Most guys with well equipped radiology and medical laboratories are big boys Nigeria. Most of them make up to 2 to 3 million a month.

Radiography starts in Conhess9 same as degree nursing. Nurses have higher chances of easy career progression with advanced training.
And nurses work 3 shifts per 24hrs which can give them enough time to equally manage other business/activities.

Oga, presently, there are many nurses in Nigeria without a job or jobs.
If we should look at it in Nigeria context, Radiography is more in demand than Nursing. Many hospitals and pharmacies are ready to offer accommodation to Radiographers than nurses.

Radiology school is easier. In the job, you don't deal with the dirty aspects of nursing. The pay is okay.

Nursing pays more and has more options. If you have the stomach for it, do it.

I am currently an Advanced Practioner Ultrasonographer in the UK, Which is a specialty under Radiography, i used to be a Radiographer before specialising in Ultrasound, where i was sponsored by my current hospital for post graduate course in Ultrasound, which has elevated me to 2 steps higher banding(from band 5 to 7).
From my experience here the work load for nurses is very demanding, with limited opportunities to progress to band 6 and 7. A Radiographer work load is not as demanding and you can upgrade to a CT,MRI, PET scan Radiographer and Sonographer.

For me, I have never seen any registered nurse that is without job. How can that be when hundreds of nurses are leaving monthly? And our hospitals understaffed?
Do you even know that most nurses combine their work with home care?
Some homecare job goes as high as 150k.
How many Radiography labs do you even have around you and how many people can they employ?
Not all hospital even have radiography department except tertiary and top private hospitals.
And still, the percentage of Radiographers in the hospital won't be more than 5% of the total workforce of the hospital compared to nursing that contributes more than 30% of the workforce.
