Before I left Nigeria, my driver had just finished secondary school then but I used to pay him 40,000 Naira salary monthly. After 6 months of service I confirmed him and increased the pay to N50,000 monthly. Personally, I have a degree and I know the pain people go through to study for degrees so I can not pay a degree holder N15k per month. I will never.

I will advise you to leave Lokoja and go to lagos even if you have no place to sleep. Go to Unilag or Yaba tech and be sleeping there while searching for job. I am not a theorist; I am telling you what I did when I first got to Lagos. I had no one but I refused to sit in my home state Benue to earn N10k salary after obtaining 2.1 degree in Economics.

It was not an easy journey for me ooo. But I am a Born Again Christian so I studied the Bible and prayed and fought toothlessly until God Almighty settled me.

I became a chartered accountant in Lagos; I owed my audit firm and employed graduates and chartered accountants to work for my firm. I lived in lekki with my family uptil last year. And today my family and I have left Nigeria when the economic situation began to deteriorate beyond repairs under Buhari tsunami regime.

I have shared my story just to motivate you. Your God and degree can make way for you in Lagos if you know what you studied in the Uni.

The total pay is around 20k that's adding the daily 200 naira for lunch. My advice is, if you truly know how to drive, go get a driver's license, then go hunt for driving jobs in other institutions. Driving job is not an easy or cheap job, so you can be paid much more.

Taxi and bus drivers go home with at least a thousand naira on a bad day.

Just so you know, I have worked for free in a mechanic village just for the experience. This made me very valuable in my industry at the time. Laziness is never an option. I would instead work for 5k than stay at home doing nothing. We build skills, capacity, and a sense of responsibility through work.

Life is in stages. Know the stage where you are now, don't settle long on each stage, keep moving.
It is good to ask questions, just as you have done now. Ask people around how they make money legitimately, take interest in how that comfortable man on your street earn his living with a view to improving your earnings too.
Have a plan of what you want and find out how to get there. Don't be complacent.
Finally, pick the 15k option but don't stay there for more than 4 months or you renegotiate for ₦20 per bag. Good luck

Your marketing skills will improve.

Apart from being a driver, it will help your marketing skills because your earnings depends on how many bags you can sell.

Set Sales target for yourself.

You should start with a monthly target of selling at least 4000 bags a month. It is possible even in this rainy season because people don't drink gutter Water in raining season. Pure water is still selling this period.

When you become good in marketing your product, you would be earning even much more than that 15k salary .

Make sure whatever agreement you are making with your employer is written in Black and White, Because when you start making more than the 15k monthly , you employer may "Change it" for you .

He may tell you that he will not pay more than 3 Naira per bag and then you can't do anything because your agreement was only verbal.

So 4 Naira per bag income is a good way to improve your marketing skills while you are still getting paid.

Nigeria is one of the world's most populous countries with anaemic GDP growth rates, thus, leading to more people available for the few businesses that exist. Low salaries would be the norm. Nigeria is not Taiwan or Singapore where birth rates are low but the economy is growing. Also, have you seen the price of diesel and the never-ending punitive taxes by various arms of gov't?
