You do not pay seperately please. You can only pay for the application fee if you have done your biometrics before
Ojb555666:
are we paying for application fees separately from biometrics?

The bank rate you are talking about is CBN rate right?

Sorry for the late response, I was unable to reply comments here for over 24 hours. Don't know why.

The answer to your question is Yes, if you do not have a dollar card and intend to use the barter virtual card, simply do so before 17th.

Here is a mail i received from their team

Hello,

We are writing to inform you that effective Sunday, 17th July 2022, all our Virtual Dollar cards will be unavailable for any transactions and purchases. This is due to an update from our card partner, which will cause the card service to be unavailable for an extended period of time.

Here is a breakdown of what to expect from 17th July:

You will be unable to make online and in-store payments and purchases using your Virtual Dollar Card(s).
You will be unable to fund existing Virtual Dollar Card(s).
Your existing Virtual Dollar Card(s) will be terminated, and the corresponding balance will be credited to your payment balance.
You will be unable to create new Virtual Dollar Card(s).

Good luck.

Chiziteremary:
Good morning all.

Thanks to all who congratulated me. I would like to share my timeline and what i did differently in my 2nd application because i believe this will help someone.

1st Application was submitted 1st Dec 2021
Refusal was recvd 25/2/2022

From my gcm notes i discovered what i did wrong was the fact that i used my brother as additional sponsor. Even though i am self sponsor but i decided to add my brothers account for additional comfort which wasnt necessary after all. I already paid 16kcad for 1st year fees and had sufficient funds to take care of the 2nd year fees and my upkeep in my personal account. The VO's concern with my brothers account was that his payslips werent included and there were lumpsums in his account. Well for some reason my broda didnt want to give me statement of his salary account. He only gave me statement of a join account with his wife where he saves money ( he lives in the USA)

What i did differently

I never wanted to use an agent because of the cost implication and because i believed i could do it myself but i was led by the Holy spirit to use @Frankrobbin. So i decided to go ahead with him, the guy is quite professional i must say though he is so busy that you need to keep calling his attention.

The guy advised me to get professional valuation for my land and building which i did. He also advised that based on my age i shouldn't have bothered with a sponsor outside myself or hubby ( i am over 45yrs). In addition he rearranged all my documents and made them easier for the VO to see all because i had lots of documents.

I highly recommend Frank any day because he is very very professional. I didnt give him breathing space, i must confess that i wanted my application submitted fast fast because my school was meant to Start May 9th.

I also want to appreciate @Anon123, @NorthernshoreLS. NorthernshoreLS thanks a lot, you were the person to 1st advice me to use Frank even though i didnt want to initially. This forum is indeed full of wonderful brothers and sisters.

My prayer is that we shall all get our PPR's soonest in Jesus name.

Amen

@Chiziteremary. I am so so happy for you!!!!! When you called me that morning your PPR came out, I was so overcome with joy. I feel privileged to be a part of your testimony. @Frankrobbn is one of the real MVPs when it comes to this Canada waka. @Makano @Anon123 @kweje are also great resources too.
@Teemenzo, im still awaiting your testimony.
God no go shame any of us.

Thank you so much
Hanzat:
To apply for B.ScN, you need your WEAC result submit a scratch card to your institution of choice, provide them with your exam number, year and other relevant details.
Also, you might be given the opportunity to fast track it which makes it 2 years instead of 3.
Although, this comes with some conditions such as you must not have graduated from the university for more than 10 years.
You need to have some mandatory prerequisites in Science such as Biology, Anatomy, Statistics and much more.
If you have graduated for more than 10 years, you must want to consider a 1 year program to complete the required prerequisites.
You also need a test called Casper test.
Most school commence Nursing application in October for the next school year in the fall.
You can start your inquires now, so that you get admission. Although, it is one of the most competitive program in Canada.
You might meet all the admission requirements,
and still not get in. It has the longest wait list ever.
It is not impossible as long as you set your mind to achieve it.
All the best.

Hello house and greetings to all the gurus, I am a silent member and I joined nairaland sometime around November/ December 2021 after I received my acceptance letter from NBCC. I read through thread 18,19, 20… and I leant so many things. I contacted Makanoglabal on the thread who assisted me with an outstanding SOP and vital information that assisted me in my application. He encouraged me even when I thought it can’t be possible. He was always ready to answer my numerous questions even those that are absurd. I just want to say thank you for your support and help throughout my application journey. Words cannot express how grateful I am. Thanks so much. But can I decide not disclose the refusals. Will they detect if I do so?

Hmm! The bitter truth is that if you don’t disclose it, the United States Immigrations will still reveal this information to Canada when both countries share your biometric details. Trust me; you don’t want the panic of a Procedural Fairness Letter.

The implication of withholding a previous refusal is that IRCC will serve the applicant a Procedural Fairness Letter alleging misrepresentation ( withholding material facts about your application) with very little time for the person to respond to the PFL, like 15 days which can lead to a five-year ban from applying to Canada

I would advise you to disclose it in your application. Please don’t be scared; it does not adversely affect your applications since you did not commit a crime and not a security risk.

You need to present the refusal reason in any way that they can see an improvement in your financial portfolio over the years.

All the best!
