DIVIDING JERUSALEM? Biden says Jerusalem is 'central to the national vision of both Palestinians and Israelis'

US President Joe Biden on Friday reiterated his support for a two-state solution, during a joint press conference with Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank.

The two-state solution – the coexistence of Israel and Palestine – is “the best way to achieve an equal measure of security, prosperity, freedom, and democracy for the Palestinians as well as the Israelis,” said Biden in the city of Bethlehem.

“The Palestinian people deserve a state of their own,” he continued.

“Two states for two people (Israelis and Palestinians), both of whom have deep and ancient roots in this land, living side by side in peace and security. Both peoples enjoying equal measures of freedom and dignity.”

His time in the West Bank consisted of visiting the Augusta Victoria Hospital in east Jerusalem, where he announced $100 million in aid to Palestinian hospitals there, before meeting with Abbas.

He further noted that Christians, Muslims, and Jews have an intense connection to the land of Israel, especially Jerusalem, which is “central to the national vision of both Palestinians and Israelis.”

“Jerusalem must be a city for all its people, its holy sites preserving the status quo,” he said, adding: “We must all be free to practice our faiths in peace, in safety, and in dignity.”

Biden ended his address by pledging “an additional $200 million for the UNRWA” refugee agency, so that it can “continue its vital work of helping the most vulnerable Palestinians.”

We are tired of this forced marriage.....

Concerning the topic, how did most places mentioned in the Bible were conquered by jihadist to have turned them to Islam nations...

Even the Israel is Jewish, the same place we Christians look upto but they berates Christians so much than even Muslims...

I would nt say religion is a scam, I will just advise people to have sense and stop carrying religion for head.......

This is a good step in the right direction, Joe biden is a good man, very pensive.

Israel should allow Palestinians to live their lives, I will never support modern day apartheid.

I'm glad that president Biden met with Palestinian authority president Mahmoud Abbas and he also announced a $300 million aid to Palestine.

Stop making other people monsters in your own mind, we are all human beings regardless of race, creed, tribe and language.

Abba Father. The only True God.
is God of over all things, be it man, animals, trees, angels, demons, principalities, power, thrones, the universe as whole.
He is not subjected to any religion.

to your second question:
Christian is not a religion.

Christian simply means to be the Christ Like.
and how can you be Christ Like?

it is to Love and Fear your Creator. because u didn't create yourself.
To love your neighbors as yourself.
To honour and respect His Law as well just to name few.

Blessed Jesus Christ is a perfect example on how everyone should live their lives on earth.

that is why it is called Christian. (Christ Like).

I want to believe that you have asked to know and not just to argue or strive..because usually no matter the response people receive, they will still raise contentions for the sake of it because that was actually the purpose of the inquiry. However, I'll assume you want to know and answer you but when it tends towards just a to and fro argument for the sake of it... I'll step aside so you can bask in what you want.


1. Depending on the Context, in Jeremiah 32:27, God describes himself as "God of all Flesh" and that includes Jews, Christian etc ..all flesh.. So God is God of all.

2. The disciples of Jesus didn't "decide" to be called Christians they were CALLED Christians. And this is because they acted, behaved and were seen to be like Christ . The Greek word used in Acts11:26 is "Christianous" meaning follower of Christ. Thus, though Jesus was born into a Jewish system, he was the Christ so he couldn't have been a follower of himself. Also, he came to show a road map higher than that which the Jews operated at the time therefore Jesus cannot in effect be called a Jew in the traditional sense of the word because he was higher and operated differently than the "Jew" and that was why they hated him for it.

3. There a number of reasons why the Old will always rebel against the New (if you like) and it's not peculiar to this situation. Every one who has practiced a system for as long as the Jews have, especially as delivered from generation to generation will resist or fight anything that represents a shift from that... As to why they are hard in Christians I can't speak for each Jew but then again human beings will always find reasons to be hard on each other... Christians to Muslim, Muslim to Christian, Buddhist to Muslim...etc.
