We have had our hands full a couple days ago up until now. Managed to hold down our own ground here and also attempted a couple of hostile takeovers in Shekpites thread. Our guyz over there have managed to hold some of them there to lifetime captivity.

After all these things we have done in the transfer window, there really is no excuse for Xavi not to win at least 2 trophies and at the barest minimum reach UCL semis.
We have the attacking fire power, the midfield isn't so bad and our defence is looking hopeful with the additions of Christensen, Azpilicueta hopefully and Kounde hopefully, if Xavi goes trophiless again he ought to be sacked because this transfer window is a huge investment risk Barca has taken to position ourselves for more financial upturn in the future, Lewandoski is earning nearly 9m, Dembele and Raphinha 6m, Aubameyang 6 - 7m Christensen and Kessie that same 6m or so and so on.
winning trophies will go a long long way to posturing ourselves as a worthwhile investment for investors and will also boost our international appeal once again and boost the sale of Barca merchandise that suffered during Covid 19 and has not improved since.

To be honest, I'm loving Laporta's shrewd style of doing business this year. Maybe I can even learn a few management tips from him.

First, he aggressively leveraged on the might of the Barca brand to forcefully attract players. He publicly reinforced Barca's premium value at a time most people had written off Barca's standing as an elite club. This resonated with quality players who did not mind taking pay cuts to join the Blaugrana. Lesson for me here is to know your worth and promote this without apologies to naysayers.

He has also been able to insure our failure risk that's associated with buying elite players by making them all to accept significantly reduced salaries than their worth. The catch here is that even if such players flop like in the case of Greizmann, the wage burden wouldn't be too much to bear during the interim period for offloading such players. So instances of putting in little work and earning bumper pay like Ozil, Hazard and co. would not happen.

Even though at this point, nothing is guaranteed but it all looks to be in the right direction and there's a whole lot to be excited about. Hopefully, happy times ahead for Cules.

True. Xavi's impact last season was very evident despite the Europa exit. Agree that the promising outlook at the end of last season must have convinced Laporta that Xavi was the right man.
