My sister just completed her medicals for the role of ATM custodian, she's yet to receive an offer though.
She possibly might get other offers and she's confused.

What should she expect ?

Will she be posted to a branch or ?

What's the salary like ?

Is it a position she can grow ?

Please when did your sister take the odyssey test and when was she invited for an interview

@richmondefosa Thank you very much for the information.
Please is Stanbic still paying 350k as starting salary (for ABO) or has it been increased.

This image below is the highlight of my morning.

I get so busy that many times I forget to check my nairaland mail. I apologize sincerely.

Thank youuuuu Chinedu. Welcome to Stanbic IBTC Bank. I wish you a successful journey with us. We will definitely be sending each other official mails now.

This is another testament that what I'm doing on this thread is a good one and I won't be deterred by naysayers and negative minded people.

I'll help as many people as I can that need information on joining the group. God help me.

Good morning Nairalanders cheesy grin

Last time I checked yes. However, there's a new set of trainees in training school. I'll know if it has been increased when they pass out.

Hi.

I apologize for my late response.

Congratulations to your sister for completing her medicals.
She's as good as getting the offer already.

What should she expect? This question is vague. You'll have to streamline it.

Will she be posted to a branch? I wouldn't know.
She might be posted to a branch or she'll be made a regional custodian. Regional custodian are incharge of off-site ATMs in a particular region. (off-site ATMs are ATMs that aren't in bank branches. They're found in malls or supermarkets or eateries)

Each branch is under a region and each region is under a zone. So if she's a regional custodian, she will be moving from point A to point B troubleshooting ATMs.

The salary depends on the Grade she's given. I have explained earlier in the thread the grades and the salaries attached.

You can grow in any position you find yourself in the bank.

Thank you for your kind service to humanity through this thread.

Sir my question is this, does having a certification in finance related field (E.g CFA,BIDA,FMVA, ICAN, CBCA etc) have an advantage when joining the bank as a graduate trainee?

Thank you!

Hi!

Yes. You do have an advantage.

@richmondefosa

Plz help me with this...

In the years that I've worked for this Bank, the only people that have been asked to go are the people involved in fraudulent activities.

Do your job, get paid and go home.

Thank you so much Boss. Please one more question; I heard from someone that Stanbic doesn't pay anything outside the salary (i.e they don't pay leave allowance, 13th month, etc) please how true is this?

What you have heard is a lie and whoever you heard it from is a LIAR grin grin cheesy

Stanbic pays leave allowance, 13th month Salary nd even Bonus every March. I cannot continue to stress this enough.

Meanwhile, someone reached out to me on LinkedIn. she works with Zenith Bank as an ET and wants to jump ship to Stanbic ( She was actually scheduled for an interview for the role of Asset Custodian). I was made aware that Zenith does not pay Bonus. Only Salary.

Since then I haven't heard anything from Stanbic IBTC pension manager.
Pls. how long do the recruitment process takes before getting your Apl?

Are you deliberately being obtuse?
Training school stipend is 75k. This year graduate trainee are currently in training school (Blue Academy). They resumed on Monday. Training is for two months.

When you leave training school, you grade is ABO. And your starting take him salary after ALL deduction is 350k.

[quote author=Rich4god post=115171093]

You delight in being ignorant and it's annoying.

I am not thinking there's a bank that pays that much. I am telling you factually because I work here and we pay 350k to our fresh graduate trainees after training school.

Hi.
Sorry i just saw this.
For a GT role, i am afraid this is not possible.
For experienced hire, there is a possibility.
Please check Stanbic career portal. there are a couple of roles there (CSO's, ATM Custodian) that require 0-2 years experience.
You could give it a shot.
I wish you all the best!
Sir, what are the requirements for these two you listed up there

It is exciting to see that this Thread has benefited a lot of people and i am happy to be part of the conversation.

I have lost count of the number of mails i have gotten appreciating me.

I apologize for being away this long. I dey face work and pursue money. grin

There are currently vacancies. If you are a banker looking to switch and join us, kindly check out the career section on our website and i am sure you will see something you are suitable qualified for.

For those without banking experience, i think there is one or two available.

Also be on the look out for our graduate trainee positions if you aren't more than 26 years and graduated with a 2.1.

It is an exciting and amazing family here. I guarantee you that.

You can leave behind questions and I will be happy to answer to the best of my ability to help you in your journey to joining us.

All the best and cheers.

I recently applied for GT positions at UBA and firstbank but wasnt even called up for the exam atg all, maybe its cause i graduated with a 2.2

Banks are only concerned with your age and class of degree. If you bring a poly degree, contract staff. Uni degree, full staff. Mostly 2.1 and above (some do 2.2), maximum of 26yrs. Go through their recruitment processes successfully and they’ll most likely employ you. Most banks do not outsource recruitment of their core staff. They spend money to train you, feed you and even pay you stipends during the training. Why should they outsource that?

Go to their career page and apply when you are done with your NYSC. The process is same across banks.

I see entry level position opening and i wanna apply but i wonder if banks hire a person with no background in banking for an entry level position... I`m still within the graduate trainee age bracket tho and also done with nysc, applied for many of their GT but have never been invited for any their tests
