Aya means tiger nuts

So there are two types of kunnu
The one u drank (very common) and kunu Aya

There are about 5 types of Kunu.
Kunu jeda (groundnuts)
Kunu jigafa or so (rice)
Kunu Aya (tiger nuts)
And others I have forgotten
Usually, the Kunu jeda is a combination of groundnuts and rice (my daily breakfast with okpa); I used to prepare the Kunu myself... Courtesy of my then roommate from Borno.
Some class of Kunu, you cook overnight but not the brukutu own.
