Kudos at Peter Obi if this is true, it shows a statesmanship that is no longer common in our political spheres. Politicians like Tinubu can never say this, even the house he stays in Abuja was built by Lagos State to his taste and is maintained and staffed on Lagos taxpayers' money and revenue... BAT started the rubbish (pensions and benefits for ex-governors) copied by other states in Nigeria. Soon, more than 50% of some state allocation will be used to pay their ex-state governors' allowanxes out of office to the detriment of workers salaries and infrastructural development  3 Likes 1 Share |

[/quote] You left state money in the bank simply because your nature do not permit you to put into better use the resources of the state. For the fact that he left unspent money doesn't make him not corrupt, it only shows how someone out of too much stinginess refuse to judiciously make use of Anambra state money for the benefits of the people. Is he telling us that he solved all the problem of Anambra people to a point that there is nothing left to do for Anambra. We don't need a president that we keep our money in the face of inadequate infrastructure and almost collapsed economy. We need a president that we be bold enough to make use of our resources for a clear transformation. Obi should not be voted president because he refuse to spend money, he should not be voted on sympathy. He has not shown us what his plans are for the Nigerian people, he is merely seeking for sympathy. In as much as the present leadership has performed below expectation, it will be foolish for Nigerians to give way to someone who does not have a clear leadership appeoch to the present predicament we find ourselves as a nation. Other countries print the photo of each of the competing presidential candidates beside the party logo, but trust INEC of Nigeria, it will not place the photos beside the logo of the every political party. |
