It's really hard for Chelsea now
Barcelona really show them pepper, we were like this during wengay days throwing all our eggs in one basket

I hope you know everyone have the right to their own opinion and you using auba as example is grasping on a straw
According to edu context if you are earning high and not performing it's killing the team, when last did auba not perform apart from early last season even at that he still scored more than lacazette that replaced him
Do you also know edu and arteta wanted to extend lacazette contract.
The truth is they wanted him out and the opportunity presented itself so cool down on your comparison with ozil
Moreover ozil have been like that from wengay days

Well, Edu said it himself; it's not what I formed in my head or something. I've always had the feeling most of the things people pin down on Arteta may not actually be his fault, but I've never had any fact to back my hunch up.

But here is Edu saying it with his full chest that he's had the plan of pruning yje team down to a manageable size which consists of players with little or no ego issues...... Auba had 3 disciplinary issues before he got the ax. Anybody here whose been following my post knows how much of Auba's cheerleader I was. I practically love the guy's goal instinct ; but the ment I knew he was flu king disciplinary rules, I just can't continue stanning a professional who would not act like one.

Maybe my choice of words were offensive to fellow fans who want the good of the club too; I apologize for that. However, I'm glad Edu has cleared the air to make is know he's been responsible for the tough stand on commitment and discipline ( which we've often thought was Arteta's brain child)

I want him and the likes of amn,Nelson, torreira out asap

Players like Neslson and Mitland-Niles are players who.wouod retire and not be known for doing anything exceptional in their career. They may play for a team that wins cups and leagues, but as individuals their recognition will.not really be an issue. I hope we get rid of them soonest.

As for Torriera, I Don accept say we lose money on the guy signing. I don't even see him as an Arsenal player again. I guess we learnt our lesssons on these Latin Americans

You are still changing narrative
Edu said not performing how does that relate to discipline
I am asking you again apart from early last season do we have any other season auba didn't perform
We saw countless seasons xhaka caused us alot both on field and off field where was edu then

Absolutely boss. Now we know who the real mastermind is regarding all those egoistical players and the way arsenal is heading to presently.

It's a very good thing Edu and Arteta have a very good relationship. This article really touched on a lot of things, reason why I decided to share it here

With the sincerest intentions, let me ask you, what exactly did you grasp from the article you posted?

What was Edu driving at? I mean words spoken or quoted by Edu in the said article, not the writer's opinion.

If you were asked to summarize the article, in your own opinion, understanding and comprehension, what would you say is the onus of this article?

I'm not changing any narrative ; You were partr of those calling for Auba's head initially when he fell out with the coach especially at the beginning of this past season when it was reported himself and Lacazette were available but had disciplinary issues as against the illness excuse Arteta gave. Auba was a good player until his disciplinary issues started ( which I guess later affected his onfield performance)

The article is talking about how we've gotten rid of big salary players which Auba and Ozil are hence my reference to their case and most fans just feel Arteta didn't handle it all well. Now there's a new perspective that Edu might actually be responsible for their departure and not Arteta like some fans would want to believe due the weak man manager they see him to be.

Yes I did but you trying to clear arteta no hold water at all, there's no way edu will make the decision alone
Auba was sent away not because of performance edu lied

I don't pray we don't because we will lose alot of players but I want to know what will happen
As for edu he should have said this last season when fans were angry na

So why did you say we are bitchinggg around when arteta surely have hand in it
There's no way edu will make such decision without arteta approval
He's a manager not head coach

I thought I already said maybe the choice of words were not right , but agreeing Edu has a hand in their departure is sure not the same as blaming Arteta totally for what we had little or no insight on as at that time.

This coming season is looking like a make or break season,I wish it favour us because I forsee us going back to square one if it doesn't especially saka contract that lad know what he's doing and edu reply wasn't confident enough

Why won't I blame arteta when he's part of it
Nothing like little, arteta is a manager
He makes 50% on players welfare and edu takes the other
When wolves came for AMN it was arteta decision to keep him, it's also arteta's decision to let auba go
2 things we need to clarify
1. In edu context he wasn't referring to auba, lacazette or even David luiz I agree with kola, mustafi and William

2. Arteta call shot in that club he has almost the same right as edu they are both employers, sometimes he can go directly to the owners

I have àlways wanted auba out too cause of his overall play but saying arteta doesn't have hand in it na lie
I like when someone take full responsibility for his decision not blaming others
Auba can't press but good goal scorer, laca can press but can't score shiit
Jesus can press and score win win for us grin

Okay, lemme see if I can summarise it with pointers

1.. That the plan in which Arsenal is expected to be a traditional top club starts in 2022/23 due to a 5-yr plan vision

2.. How Edu (with collaboration with Arteta I feel) helped in pruning the squad off high-salary, low performance players even if it means paying dem off and going the way of young players

3.. Arsenal plans in the transfer market involving both our players and that of intending targets

4.. How he talked about the change in mentality of the club to that of a winner's mindset and reason why players of such characters are recruited

5.. He touched on how selling the project to intending targets is crucial and foremost and any intended target who doesn't have that as his priority,he simply walks away

Lol, it was just speculation and opinion of the writer. Read this from the link you posted below and see why I said so.

No concrete offer was made that Laca rejected.(at least, none that I know of)

Still speculating Jodera undecided undecided

Please don't believe all these links and rumors. The only authentic story you should believe is the one that comes from the club or player and his agent. That was how they even quoted an amount we bid for Raphinah yet it was only few mins friendly discussion between Edu and Deco

There was no reason to extend Laca's contract. If there was a reason to do so it would have been done before last summer. And Laca was not performing anyway. Arsenal was only looking for a new quality CF last January transfer after Auba left but they got none.

Even Nketiah, there was a plan to extend his contract since but he didn't sign because he wanted game time guarantee. He even refused to move to Brighton and C.Palace last summer till he started getting game time after Laca became irredeemable.

If Arteta or Edu or Laca himself said there was a contract extension plan then believe it... But other sources expecially Mirror News take it with a pinch of salt. I will even give it some credibility if the source is Romano or Charles Watt or Ostein but not Mirror even though they all got Raphinah story wrong.
