I don't know if you guys followed Love Island UK for a bit, but there is this guy that was on it, Ikenna, his Twitter handler, is possibly one of the best handlers I had ever seen. Man was so good, after the guy was evicted, he left him to continue managing the account, because he built the account very well.

I don't think some people realise that you cannot handle Twitter same way you handle Instagram. On Twitter you actually have to post about house activities and how they affect the housemate. If they have a ship, you make comments about the ship, you make jokes about their fights. Don't just run the Twitter account of a housemate on this show as if you're running the account of a Government agency.

And I'm sorry to say, but I don't think Groovy is standing out so much for his personality, but his looks. Yes, for the most part, he's a chill guy, sometimes comes off to me as a bit naive in his general interactions with Beauty specifically, like he just wants to not offend her (and honestly, what is life without offending people sometimes?).

But see he's tall and fit, and good-looking, so, yeah, that's enough to stand out over some other guys in the house.

Then there is Khalid, who, I'm pretty sure the ladies in the house have turned to a confidante sort of. He's the level headed guy they meet to discuss their problems, and he listens. He's pretty good-looking too, but I guess that just like good girl, good boy too no dey pay.

Bryann's own is that he is the bad guy, dangerous and wild that girls want to test how bad they can either get with him, or how good they can make him. "I can change a man" girls love guys like that.

Generally, I think one can either be outstanding in looks or personality, but I would take an outstanding personality over outstanding looks.

As much as I can, me, I personally avoid bodyshaming people or encouraging it. I no know of "una" because I no dey responsible for wetin another person talk, but anything wey involve person looks, I dey like avoid the talk as much as possible. I can use other things to come for them, but looks is like last resort.


Still, we live and we learn, and just like I said, using "...after all others are doing it to others" is not the gotcha you think it is.

There is something to be said of someone who grows older in age, but never in emotional intelligence.

Please, can we talk about how this whole Island/Ikoyi vs Trenches/Ikorodu/Mainland tags have somehow affected how the housemates behaviours are perceived?


I find it very interesting, that the people who live in Trenches basically have the same "we die here" mentality associated to actual Trenches people, the same gragra, the same vibes, even when they speak among themselves, there is heavy use of pidgin. Switch up on the Island side of things, and the housemates there basically mirror the personalities often spoken of actual Island residents; they're chill, they're uppity, they think Trenches housemates beneath them, na small thing remain, dem for call Trenches guys razz.

Like, I don't know if I am the only one noticing the likeness.

Then that whole discussion the Island guys had yesterday that I swore Trenches boys no fit gather dey discuss that kain thing, only for the Island guys to go and tell on themselves to the women, another thing that Trenches guys no fit do (except that Groovy boy, I no trust am).

The likeness is very interesting. I'd be glad if we can comment on that.
