tctrills: Lol. It is Igbos who are unhealthy and toxic. Nothing exemplifies that more than how you all disruptively shouted Biafra for 7 years of Buhari's Presidency yet you are all now 'Obidient'. You can keep trying to con gullible Nigerians but what will be will be unavoidably. Remember that and mark my words. All this online back and forth is just the antics of Nigerians who can afford data and have time to spare. Reality is that Nigeria is far too troubled, and closer to collapsing, than you hateful elements realize. Only a serious President with innate capacity, sagacity and proven talent can rescue Nigeria. |

The Igbos have never been Nigeria's problem and calling out Tinubu the drug lord does not make anyone toxic. You Tinubu boys used to make all the noise online but you got alarmed when the new movement overshadowed you. You began to call them toxic. I just laugh. The Obi movement is not tribal. It's made of of millions of Yorubas, the entire SS and SE and millions from the north. Unlike your tribalist Tinubu movement. 3 Likes 1 Share |

It is certainly not the empty hype and "cosmetic idealistic nothingness" historical evidence prove 100% Atiku and Obi are about.. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/why-im-supporting-tinubu-by-asuelime/amp/ The chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) South Africa chapter, Dr. Legend Asuelime has explained the reason behind his unalloyed support for the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. |

candidtalk:You can bury your head in shame now if you have an decency left. only a foolish and tribalistic man will support Tinubu I am not a confused man, I cannot support the National Conference – Tinubu )The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday, kicked against the proposed national conference by President Goodluck Jonathan. He made this disclosure while fielding questions from journalists after a closed door meeting with the Osun State government officials led by Governor Rauf Aregbesola and leaders of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, over the ongoing crisis rocking the state due to the new education policy introduced by the governor. Tinubu restated his earlier stance, describing the conference as both deceptive and diversionary. His words, “The National Assembly has devoted time to the review of the country’s constitution. What again is the purpose of Jonathan’s national confab? It is a way of fooling Nigerians.” He stated that there was no law backing the proposed confab, urging that whatever came out of it would be a nullity. He said; “I am not a confused man, so, I cannot support the confab. Those in support have proved to be confused.” The former Lagos State governor, who was optimistic that the opposition party would oust the PDP from power in 2015, added that the success of the just concluded registration exercise of party membership across the country was an indication that the APC remains a party to beat. According to him, there had never been crisis in the party and there would not be any crisis even after the selection of the party’s acceptable candidate. On the June and August governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states respectively, Tinubu said, “The PDP is not a threat to the APC in both Ekiti and Osun states and by the grace of God, we are coming out victorious in the elections.” https://dailypost.ng/2014/02/13/confused-man-support-national-conference-tinubu/ 1 Like |

mycar: Lol. This is why I said you should show a link. I knew you'd trap yourself because Tinubus stance over Jonathan's insincere 'restructuring' effort was crystal clear. Thank God we all lived through that period of history where it was clear that Jonathan was on an insincere exercise in futility that reeked of insincerity. Buhari , to his credit, clearly outlawed restructuring to show Nigerians what he believed in unequivocally i.e Nigeria does not need restructuring. Huge contrast to the antics of the deceptive Jonathan whose fraudulent ideas was to constitute an expensive and impotent talk jamboree that would achieve nothing but burnish his political image. Whereas, and in reality, no one could see a single effort from Jonathan, a sitting President with majority legislative control of Nigeria, to use his conaiderable power and authority to change our constitution and literally bully through even executive policies that would assist fiscal federalism, restructuring and decentralisation of power away from an unwieldy centre. Jonathan did everything insincerely and for political mileage or pecuniary gains. He lacked substance, was never sincere and delivered nothing. Buhari , even as he ruled out ever restructuring, has actually done more per the effort to initiate brave and holistic reforms. For all his fault Buhari has shown he is a proper President in ways Jonathan could never be and in a potent show of how Nigeria cannot afford to mess with Jonathan 2.0 in the form of Obi. Buhari would tell everyone he will not restructure leaving no one in doubt that he can if it is what he wants. Yet Jonathan would pretend and decieve Nigerians with wasteful charades knowing fully well he does not have the sagacity, bravery, political will and authoritative capacity to deliver as a proper President can. In the end it is clear to unbiased Nigerians that Tinubu was right to call out Jonathan for insincerity. Many others did at the time because they knew Jonathan was an insincere and impotent President. Tinubu restated his earlier stance, describing the conference as both deceptive and diversionary. 1 Like |

Their country is sinking in debt, rife with insecurity and inflation, the economy us tatters, yet they are fighting over office of President that has not changed the life of anybody for the better The good thing about it all is that as Nigeria inevitably heads for collapse and disintegration, the time is fast approaching when we shall no longer be in the same country to be fighting and giving each other headache every day |

tctrills: Indeed brethren. I am personally not worried because I know what is shown below, or a form of it, is inevitable and will unavoidably come to be. Nigeria can never work without a change to her basic structure that will make the nation more productive for every Nigerian person, State and region. It is just about if we will be smart enough to secure it ASAP without further bloodshed, suffering and a general national descent into anarchy that can see Nigeria become worse than Somalia. We can also choose to be tribalistic, idealistic and clannish voting in those who will expedite the total collapse of Nigeria over the next few years with their nothingness, cluelessness and patently inadequate political leanings and ideas. SW Governors have led the way. Let us now all begin to ask candidates tough questions about their plans for reforming the basic and unproductive structure of Nigeria. We don't need the diversionary rhetoric of those who just want to be President yet nothing in their leadership history shows they understand the relationship between identifying problems and then delivering appropriate solutions.

candidtalk: I went back to your earlier post and all I found out is that you talk too much that you make a statement in one post and contradict yourself in the first post in the second one. You advacated for regionalization in one post and you attacked Igbos for calling for same in another post. You condemed buhari for not going the restructuring but you supported Tinubu for opposing the Goodluck' s restructuring call. How can good luck restructure when APC were already a majority in the legislative chamber? You have to take a stand man You supported regionalization and so do Igbos, so what's your problem then? Hate and jealousy. Igbo saw the need to support Peter to see if things would improve and you jettison your quest for regionalization for Tinubu to make the status quo and ever since then you have been condemning others for supporting peter Obi, what's your problem? Greed You condemed those that never believe in one Nigeria whereas you and Tinubu never believed in one Nigeria, so who is confused here? 2 Likes |

gidgiddy: Just like candyman. Mention him and he will appear lol. I knew you'd show, as the egotist you are, once mentioned. I have to say I agree with the part in bold in your post though. Collapse of Nigeria is inevitable. We are being overrun by insecurity and terrorism while the centre looks on. Iliberal and selfish policies, to favour sectional agenda yet fails the majority and the masses, continue to stifle our economic prospects. We have a Presidency simply insistent on refusing to do what is right and needed. Next year we will gain a President who knows what to do and may have the authoritative capacity to do it but will not do it i.e Atiku. Or a President who may know what to do but won't have the authoritative capacity to do it in Obi. It could also be a President who does not know what to do and would not do it even if he knows what to do per Kwankwaso. If you don't believe me, go and find Kwnkwaso's current submission for fighting insecurity , if he becomes President, revolving around the simplistic ruse of "more money to buy more equipment for the army". Precisely the policy an insincere President would prefer rather than the fundamental and holistic changes that can deliver permanent solutions like State or regional policing as obtains in the USA, UK etal. Or we could gain the best outcome with a President who knows what to do, has the capacity to do it and will not be prevented by anything or anyone from delivering what is needed for the progress of Nigeria and all Nigerians. That is Jagaban. 1 Like |

tctrills: Brethren, Nigeria's problem is not bad governance. It is a fundamentally flawed structure deliberate and cynically devised to fail the majority and only favour a rapacious and callous minority. You guys naively think one saint will just appear, clone himself into 10,000 vwrsions that will be in every corner of Nigeria fighting corruption and delivering "good governance". Totally wrong. No insult but the fact you are yet to discern the real problem of Nigeria shows the ignorance and idealism leading the political choices of most Nigerian youths. It is no coincidence that the last time Nigeria worked well comparatively was when we were under regionalism and had regional premiers. If we don't get a President with the authoritative capacity, vision and will to reform Nigeria fundamentally then our country will get worse till she collapses completely. That is the truth. Buhari amply has the authoritative capacity, and it is the reason many of us supported him originally, but it is obvious he lacks the vison or will to reform Nigeria. We cannot afford a President who will have the capacity but lack the will. We also do not need a President who has the will but will lack the capacity. Only a President that has the will and capacity will do. We all know who that is if we are willing to put tribalism and ethnocentric hatred of each other aside. History of all those contesting, especially pertaining to evidence of their ability to pursue and implement successful fundamentally innovate reforms, is there to show us what an objective person will quickly discern about who is right for the job next year. |

tctrills: Bro this is wrong. This is what we always do in Nigeria. I.e identify a group of people and vilify them as the "evil" who must leave for Nigeria to make progress. Man is patently flawed. Only strong societal structures and laws prevents him from doing his worst. On a daily basis, assuming you live in Nigeria, can you not see the average Nigerian has no aversion to corruption, scamming, deception, indolence, stealing, fraud, promiscuity, tribalism etc? It is precisely the same all over the world . The difference is that strong and dedicatedly applied laws and sincerely progressive policies gets the best out of people in developed nations whereas our fundamentally warped structures, delivered by cynical opportunism, brings out the worst in Nigerians !!! Check my past posts to see I don't particularly talk of corruption and I never defend any Nigerian, not even myself, as saintly. This is because I am a realist. I see with my own two eyes daily that the average Nigerians is worse than Buhari and a hypocrite who does the wrong thing every second of the day he then hypocritcally claims only leaders are guilty of. Forget blaming individuals. Let's support a candidate who can deliver strong reforms, strong institutions and strong political policies that will force us all to conform automatically and align behind a progressive way of life. The folks in the developed West are not more virtuous than we are. They had their historical problems with corruption and oppressive leadership also but the people never stopped fighting for change that eventually led to leaders delivering equitable, ordered and sane societies that worked for everyone and worked strongly against aberrant folks. We don't wish to do that in Nigeria. We want to complain hypocritcally and blame others yet refuse to dedicate ourselves to agitating for the right things. Perhaps it is because we hate each other and prefer blaming others for our woes instead of identifying common problems and demanding common solutions. What needs to happen is that Nigerians must agitate for fundamental changes , that will apply to everyone, and automatically get our country working in a productive and progressive manner for all Nigerians. First and foremost, we need a President who will know the right thing to do and will have the will and authoritative capacity to deliver it. Per the undisputed reality of how we are a tribalistic and divided people, we cannot afford a President who is short of the combination of political will, vision and authoritative bravery and 'ruggedness' that will move Nigeria forward. We are not united enough to bend leaders to our will. For example, Buhari can dismiss restructuring and get away with that because the North does not passionately want what the South does making it difficult for agitations to be united and strong enough to make Buhari bend to our collective will and not the other way round. We should all forget nitpicking, search for a messianic Saint and ethnocentric pettiness. The glory of Nigeria will begin when we can get a President who knows what must be done and will arrive with the requisite will, capacity and authoritave ability to deliver required solutions. Everything else will follow from there. A big example is how Nigeria would have been more secure today had GEJ had the balls and authority to deliver State policing , as was demanded of him back then, that Buhari or anyone else cannot come in to abolish. I can bet any money that the Owo Massacre and many of such killings across the South would not have happened had GEJ delivered States or regional Policing that would be a decade old now. Yet Jonathan, literally resulting in thousands of needless deaths, arrogantly announced "Nigeria not ripe for State police". Google it. Yet Tinubu delivered and funded RRS in Lagos, a microcosm of State policing almost two decades ago. Everything boils down to powerful and effective leaders making brave and sincere calls that will then positively affect how all Nigerians live permanently. Especially in a country as divided, unpatriotic and self-destructive as Nigeria is. |

seunmsg: Precisely. Below is an excerpt from an earlier post that confirms exactly what you are saying about Tinubu and the reason we cannot afford to mess with Jonathan 2.0 in the form of Obi. I never bother mentioning Atiku or Kwankwaso because I know the compromise they will arrive with that will make them patently worthless. Forget strong, holistic and fundamental reforms under those two. Yet, as an example, imagine what would be today and how many more Nigerians would be alive had GEJ bravely and uncompromisingly delivered State or regional policing as Tinubu innovatively delivered and managed to fund RRS? It is ethnocentric hatred of others and clannish devotion to their own that is preventing a lot of Nigerians inspecting verified facts and history dispassionately to see what is obvious and make the right decisions. That problem is the bane of our nation's development and the reason I have personally decided that regionalism is the only way forward. If tribalism will prevent us all from agreeing unitedly on what is right then let everyone , under regional governance, go and implement what they feel is right in their region and there alone. A big example is how Nigeria would have been more secure today had GEJ had the balls and authority to deliver State policing , as was demanded of him back then, that Buhari or anyone else cannot come in to abolish. 3 Likes 1 Share |

mycar: Lol. You see why important discussions should not be left entirely to sentimental and perhaps ethnocemtric elements like you? As I said before, we all lived through that period. Tinubu made it explicitly clear, regardless of your attempt at fraudulent revisionism, that he supported the idea of a national.conference talk but it was the sincerity of GEJ he doubted. This is Jonathan who dithered for for 4 years, as substantive President, and initiated zero major reforms , as was demanded of him, like State policing, yet cynically convened an expensive electioneering campaign tool in 2014, shortly before the 2015 elections, he insincerely termed "national conference". Jonathan was the personification of desperation back then. He knew an election loss was imminent and was simply spending Nigeria's money frivolously to buy a stay of political execution. Same GEJ was giving maritime protection contract to OPC Gani Adams to buy the support of Yorubas. He was literally making Obas rich in Yoruba land to gain their electoral loyalty. He took billions of dollars out of the Nigerian coffers and placed in the hands of Dasuki to secure his second term in office. This is all recent history less than a decade old. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/196518-2-1-billion-dasukigate-key-questions-jonathan-must-answer-serap.html Of course Tinubu and others, privy to the cynical and wasteful desperation of GEJ, were right to show support for the idea of a national conference but also correct in doubting the intentions of the convener of the national talk based on his openly desperate behaviour. You people should learn to defer to historical facts and reality and stop your obsession with revising history fraudulently to influence the narrative. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/146648-jonathan-tinubu-war-words-national-conference.html Mr. Tinubu, had upon his return from a medical trip early October, said the planned national dialogue, announced by Mr. Jonathan in his independence day broadcast to the nation, was “diversionary and deceptive”. |
