These housemates should know that their names and personality matter a lot. First week in Big Brother house is a huge decider and can make or ruin you. Many viewers on Big Brother still vote along ethnic lines.

For instance Cyph. He's name is Emeka. He's an Igbo boy but went to the show with an obscure name Cyph. Wtf! Your name is Emeka and you should bank on the popularity of Emeka as a name to sell yourself.

During the first week, Cyph has a bland personality. I really felt concerned for him and wished he's more vibrant. Yes, he shone during tasks and the Saturday party highlights with Doyin made him somewhat visible but his awkward personality has already done him a disservice. Unfortunately, he was nominated and since people couldn't relate with him, he couldn't amass much votes. This is where many people would have voted him.

Look at loud Amaka. She has a loud personality with a regular Igbo name. I know many Igbo peeps on Facebook that campaigned and voted for her.

Phyna's personality was her selling point. She won the hearts of the audience and will definitely go very far in the show. If she maintains this tempo, she can easily become another Mercy. Watch out!

Khalid got pity votes cos of Hermes strategic nomination of him. I threw some votes for him cos I felt he was a good partner to Hermes and never badmouthed him to his fellow Trenchers.

What happened to Cyph also happened to Christy O. Minus the legendary drumming, she has zero personality. What's Christy O too? You're a Yoruba girl. Why not use Olufunke or Funke your Yoruba name to help yourself? It's unfortunate.

If you're going to Big Brother next year, better use your native name if you no get strong personality, it can buy you sometime to unfurl whatever strategy you have.
