Good morning, sorry for this situation. If she did not submit your application how were you able to go for biometrics?

bucceryor:
I'm pained, downcast and highly disappointed in fellow Nigerians. I tried the "retrieve my application option" from my agent , but I was met with a brick wall. She didn't submit any application as it were. And to think we have been on it for more than a year is equally annoying. I already differed the admission once, I'm supposed to pay tuition deposit on or before August 27th and this. I would have handled it myself if I had known how. I paid an outrageous amount for her non-existent service. I even went for biometrics and upfront medical ( I had a severe ulcer attack on that day, that could have lead to a life threatening situation). She dashed my hope just like that, I'm sobbing badly and there's no one to console me as my husband is not around. Why would you do such to another person? The answer can't be greed, but pure witchcraft. Up till yesterday evening, she kept maintaining that all that is left is a response from IRCC on decision. My sponsor will never take me seriously again. It's indeed a very wicked world and the wait of more that a year has ended in sad tears for me

NL Family, join me thank God for great things He has done for me. I give God praise for showing himself strong on my behalf. He has granted me my heart desires.
God granted my family and I our desired Canadian visas: Study Visa for me and my 2 children and a Visitor Visa for hubby.
What God cannot do does not exist.
I decided I was going to apply for Canadian Express entry in 2018 so I wrote IELTS in preparation but got diagnosed with Cancer towards the end of the same year. I spent better part of 2019 undergoing the treatment protocol.
I read via some blogs and listened to some vlogs that said Canadian Immigration approval is not usually given to people who have had my kind of challenge and have not stayed at least 5 years after treatment. The reason they gave is that Canada would not want to approve immigration requests for immigrants that will cause excessive demand on their health care service. Downcast, I stopped pursuing my immigration plan and resolved I could as well wait out the 5 years so my IELTS expired.
I was encouraged to try the student route in 2021 but I honestly didn’t know I will be required to do medicals. I thought with the Student Visa, I will pay my medical out of pocket which I was ready to do. It turned out God wanted to show me that He was and is still all powerful and will do what He wants to do.
I started looking for schools in Canada around July 2021 but saw their application openings for most schools I checked were already for Fall 2022 but I wanted to relocate in January,2022 so I went ahead to get admission from 2 US schools. By December 2021, I concluded I couldn’t travel to US in January 2022 with my family at such a short time especially as we were struggling to get appropriate interview dates in December,2021. At this point, I decided to defer the admission in US and apply to Canadian Schools for Fall 2022 starts, apply for Canadian visas with my family, if we don’t get visa approvals, we will request for expedited interview date for US and head there for Fall start. Through it all, I prayed earnestly trusting God to lead us to the best place that will not mess up His plans for my family especially my kids.
I applied in November, 2021 for a Masters, got admission in January, 2022. God sent me help all through.
We were advised by well-meaning friends and an immigration consultant that I should pursue my visa application first before including family but my spouse didn’t agree. According to him, everyone has a story. I applied for my student visa with my family in April,2022. I was 43 years old as at the time of the Application and have worked for more than 16 years.
It is important I point out the following:
1. I had not taken COVID Vaccine as at when I applied for visa and had my medical exams
2. I had an active express entry profile
3. My BP was quite high on the morning of my medical review but the Panel Physician assured me there was nothing to worry about.
4. I completed my breast cancer treatment in 2019 (less than 5 years ago). I went with
my medical report when I went for the Medical Exams. The Panel Physician carefully explained to me that even though he was going to scan the medical report I came with that there was nothing to be concerned about.
5. I didn’t pay any school fees before I applied for visa because my school sent me an email that I didn’t need a deposit to secure the space. I just included this email correspondence in my application and showed through my POF that I had enough fund to cater for me and family.
6. All my siblings except only one live in either USA or Canada and are citizens of these countries including my mum. However, being a married lady, I never mentioned them in my SOP. I only put their names in one the forms I filled during the application. I built my home ties more on me and spouse’s assets and jobs in Nigeria.
7. I never sent a single email or webform before I got my approval and spouse’s approval
8. I begun sending desperate emails and webforms after my spouse and I got approvals and my 2 children’s approval didn’t come even after 12 weeks of submission. It turned out we missed including their birth certificates in their applications. IRCC sent us email to upload them via the portal
I noted the above because Nos 1 to 5 were some of my worry points before I received my approval.
I am writing hoping someone will find hope and relax and trust God to confirm His promises.

I have tried using the details on the biometrics instruction and request letters and it's not working either. The only thing that is obvious she changed is the email address. Thanks, I will keep trying
CharitoJames:

How did you go for biometrics if no application was submitted? She submitted an application but with the wrong details that is why you were not able to retrieve it with the details you have. Try using the details on the biometrics. Because there is no way you will go for biometrics without having an existing application or was the biometrics not at VFS

Amen, thank you for your concern
CharitoJames:

I’m so sorry... Talk to your sponsor still... he/she will assist in retrieving your money from the agent then you do it all over again on your own... Carry the agents name to God.. she will have sleepless nights and no peace of mind until she refunds you. What is this now... Please Ma! Don’t have Bp or lose hope... God will settle this... i know he will...

Praise GOD everyone!!!

After a very long wait, I finally got my PPR yesterday 10th of August. I pray The Almighty GOD grant every applicant their heart desires too .
I submitted my application February 22, 2022. Did biometric February 24th. And that's when the long wait started. But thank GOD it ended in praise.

However, I was told that I will not be issued visa that is beyond the expiry date of my passport. My passport has just 8 months to expiry date, which means that it will not cover the duration of my studies. I need to do a new passport ASAP. Please does anyone has a way of helping? I am in Lagos.

Thanks all and GOD bless ❤

Congratulations on your PPR but with the look of things and how Passport is now in the Country, if they would stamp your passport with the 8 months...i will advise you travel with it and then renew in Canada you can also extend your study permit when you get there but if they won’t stamp it... Look for a sure plug that would deliver

Congratulations, I'm April 27 applicant. Medical request was sent to me on August 3rd but I sent the E-medical sheet of my valid medical exam to them through mail and webform and was updated on August 4th. I'm still waiting for my PPR since then. I believe that, mine also will end in praise.

Congratulations in advance Adeyinkaadetunj, start booking your flight o, it’s coming. What province? everything will fall in pl

@JustMello and other gurus.

I need your expert advice on the following:

My husband who is accompanying me has IELTS for UKVI (General) with Speaking = 7.0; Writing = 7.0; Listening = 7.5; Reading = 7.5; and Overall = 7.5.

We submitted our family application last week but we didn't include the IELTS for UKVI in his profile. We didn't include it because we were thinking since it is for UKVI, the VO might be thinking we are being too desperate to immigrate and that may be a red flag.

Please, I want to know if we should leave his application as it is or we should send it to them via email and Webform?

UKVI is for UK while Canada uses the General/Academic IELTS so it is an unnecessary document to include.

If he has a General IELTS he can include it without harm.

Hi Ketima,

Please, how did you book via Air Canada? Kindly assist on your process. I'm currently in Port Harcourt

Ketima:

Hello,

For flights like air Canada and WestJet, the only allow 1 23kg plus hand luggage. Any additional will be paid for.

As for accomodation, you may need to use Facebook marketplace. It really helps. It helped me sure 2bedroom apartment for just 1k. So go there, many listing are there. All you do is if you get, someone present might help you to check it out, then you pay and sign the lease agreement.

Just to satisfy the arguments here, IRCC Abuja actually can stamp the passports and that is the reason why they are processed faster...

Congratulations on your PPR but with the look of things and how Passport is now in the Country, if they would stamp your passport with the 8 months...i will advise you travel with it and then renew in Canada you can also extend your study permit when you get there but if they won’t stamp it... Look for a sure plug that would deliver

You don’t have to book on Air Canada or West Jest as they don’t have originating flight from Nigeria. If you book on all the other airlines like KLM, Lufthansa, Egypt Air, Ethiopian Airways etc, they have arrangements with those regional airlines that will fly you to your final destination but the problem is that your flight will now be considered a local flight, also because the aircrafts are smaller you are now entitled to less luggage limit. Unless the Airport you arrived at is your final destination.

So far, i have 5 names i will be submitting to the altar of fire tomorrow morning for delayed PPR... calling forth our PPR to come sooner than expected. And also declaring that it won’t end the way the devil and enemies has planned it. If you also want your name to be submitted just drop your full name or email me. Congratulations to us all... for what God cannot do does not exist. If you are ready to carry your evidence just like me, kindly go and type your PPR gist and Congratulatory message. All the best

Good afternoon all,

I gained admission to Concordia University of Edmonton and I am supposed to resume Aug 31 submit my school permit and my passport and start classes on September 2. I am yet to get a response from IRCC and the school has insisted that those dates cannot be changed and they won't even allow me to defer for another session. I have raised a GCMS note so I am waiting for feedback.

I am so confused about what to do because if the visa arrives I can't resume this session.

Please advise.

Thanks.
