Read my comment again and you will see that I stated that the exit of Ferguson without grooming a successor was one of the problems of ManU and not the only problems of ManU.

Ferguson recommended Moyes as his successor but Moyes wasn't mentored nor groomed by Ferguson.

Moyes came with his own ideology and philosophy which was in sharp contrast with what has been installed in ManU by Ferguson for decades, therefore a total capitulation was inevitable.

Ferguson knew the type of players that will be the right fit for the expectations at ManU and his recruitments did delivered..
