From level of senior lecturals, administrative staff of Universities, including deans and VCs all have their chuldren schooling abroad. They destroyed the system, exploit nigerian students collect bribes and sell text books; i am talking about lectureres now and then send their children abroad so they could finish our education system. Nearly all of them lecture in private universities. What about the politicians? they send their children and wards to schools abroad. We are a funny bunch of people, if we do not understand how to create policies that would ouir leaders and those we have trusted with offices, we would continue to remain impoverished. All those responsible for eductaion, ministers, lectureres must send their ward to public schools in niegria, if the kitchen is too hot for your, then get out. |

what of those who had their kids abroad..even before joining mainstream politics... Didn't you all sit down and fold your hands while they all plundered the Nation's resources in all manners....did you all voice out? You didn't have to attack any politician...but as a concerned party, you will not be blamed for condemning a public crime such as corruption in public offices. But you all kept quiet and waited, hoping they'd at least let you gave your way...now your chicken has come home to roost..and they're showing you that they won't spare you in their corruption either...all of una com dey shout |
Re: Emmanuel Osodeke: Don’t Vote Politicians With Children Abroad by kafeii123: 1:42pm On Aug 18, 2022 |
Kingpin1000: That is not true at all...this because any Nigerian lecturer whose ward is studying in a private uni must either have his own business ..or such kid is on scholarship...the only other likelihood...is that the person is far old before starting child rearing...so he has gathered enough from savings within that time... You cannot earn beyond 150k for the first nine years of service...so how do you raise private university children with such... |

GeneralDae2: U wan compare Jonathan government to Buhari government ? Where u want make we start ? Dollar rate or insecurities ? Cost of living or fuel prices ? |
Re: Emmanuel Osodeke: Don’t Vote Politicians With Children Abroad by GeneralDae2: 4:21pm On Aug 18, 2022 |
majamajic:Dollar rate....Jonathan Government had to decrease our foreign reserves to as low as 29 Billiond dollars because the dollar rate was already on a decline from 2014. Buhari also made some bad policies and was worse than Jonathan here. But Jonathan did nothing spectacular to keep the naira really. Insecurities....It was terrible under Jonathan, BokoHaram occupied local Government Areas in Borno to the extent that we even had to bring in mercenaries from South Africa. In those days, Boko Haram bombed even UN buildings in Abuja and openly bombed churches in Kano. Buhari however, allowed Bandits to become too powerful but Buhari has reduced the Farmer-Herder crises problem. Cost of living...Buhari didn't do much. Fuel Prices...We still pay one of the lowest fuel prices presently in the world. It would be unrealistic to expect fuel to remain 65 naira. Infrastructure...Buhari has shown more political will than all PDP Government put together in terms of Infrastructure. |

kafeii123:Do you think lecturers teach in just one school? When I was in school my dean, HOD and some departmental lecturers had their wards in private or abroad universities. My anger with ASUU is the fraud they commit, how can a professor be working in 3 different schools, not that they are doing their jobs well, you will see them not more than 3 times for the semester. |

Re: Emmanuel Osodeke: Don’t Vote Politicians With Children Abroad by uche393: 6:11pm On Aug 18, 2022 |
studying abroad is one the greatest thing a parent can do for his child. either you send them abroad or send them to private universities, our educational system needs a lot of work. corruption is one major problem in our education, especially sorting. If I have to employ graduates, I will consider abroad first, private before national open University graduates and lastly public universities graduates. |
Re: Emmanuel Osodeke: Don’t Vote Politicians With Children Abroad by GeneralDae2: 7:12pm On Aug 18, 2022 |
majamajic:It's not better but I lean towards the APC ideology of infrastructure being key. They may not have executed infrastructure as they should but they have shown more political will than the PDP on this. |

Re: Emmanuel Osodeke: Don’t Vote Politicians With Children Abroad by kafeii123: 7:29pm On Aug 18, 2022 |
Kingpin1000: You're quite right about this.... however.....each academic staff is entitled to only one university full time.... however he is REQUIRED to also have at least one adjunctship.... and two sabbaticals in his career. Now it so happens that these secondary institutions only take them on .. because they are either themselves understaffed...do not have qualified staff for that professor's area of specialization.... Cannot afford to employ a full time if that paygrade and experience.... or are even unable to find anyone willing to fill that gap for them full time.... They're themselves not all happy to do this....but the younger ones who gonout to study are unwilling to accept the poor that universities pay academics in Nigeria..so they don't return....if these people don't work in those other unis... those unis may have to close down the course...or lose their accreditations...yet we a know that there's more students seeking admission...than the number of universities available...and the number of students they can take. By law...each university academic staff is meant to teach ONLY one course per semester.. anything extra is an anomaly that will definitely reduce the effectiveness of his delivery.... university education goes beyond just having a degree....of we just decide to have snese for once in our entire existence as a nation, we will fix this whole nonsense once and for all.... students in the entire west African subregion at least will be coming here to study... they'll pay international students school fees... it'll be a plus for the country..but mugus who cannot see beyond their noses are there wasting people's time and futures... Yet some folks are embezzling trillions and no one is saying anything..... They know what they're doing though....an educated population is a hard one to deceive and control without just reason... So they'll forcefully convert less fortunate youths into touts..and servants.... that's what all of these rigmaroles are about If we had an acceptable welfare package...this dearth |

Godoverevery: Useless outburst This one has been denied Visa 3x You're not fooling anybody mate Anyway... The issue is politicians that got rich from public funds and now using said public funds to train their children abroad. I wouldn't expect your lousy depleted brain to comprehend that very MINOR detail If a wealthy individual wants to send their children to the moon, I don't see how that's anyone's business. As long as the taxpayers did not enrich said individual |
