How do you focus on a verse and read your mind into that verse without considering its context?
You lied that that portion meant they were sharing food and clothes. But I exposed your lies with contextual reading. Now, this??
I see you are attempting to argue blindly without properly investigating the context of scriptural references presented in any way. undecided

Here again is my first response to you. As for what is written in the first part of Acts 20 vs 28, well according to Jesus Christ, those who belong to His flock are paid workers - John 10 vs 7 -15, all of them, expected to feed His Sheep - give real food and drink to the least of the sheep - and Care for His flock - Home, Clothe, care for the sick, and visit those in prison. undecided
31 “The Son of Man will come again with divine greatness, and all his angels will come with him. He will sit as king on his great and glorious throne.
32 All the people of the world will be gathered before him. Then he will separate everyone into two groups. It will be like a shepherd separating his sheep from his goats.
33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the king will say to the godly people on his right, ‘Come, my Father has great blessings for you. The kingdom he promised is now yours. It has been prepared for you since the world was made.
35 It is yours because when I was hungry, you gave me food to eat. When I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I had no place to stay, you welcomed me into your home.
36 When I was without clothes, you gave me something to wear. When I was sick, you cared for me. When I was in prison, you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the godly people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink?
38 When did we see you with no place to stay and welcome you into our home? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear?
39 When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?’
40 “Then the king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you did for any of my people here,[b] you also did for me.’ - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 40
This is all of course far from what you and your so-called shepherds do in your churches. undecided

In John 10, Jesus Christ clearly explained to you that He alone is the Shepherd to His sheep, and that all others, His followers, are paid workers, and not shepherds. He went as far as to clearly explain the differences between the duties of these two offices to you as well.
7 So Jesus said again, “I assure you, I am the gate for the sheep.
8 All those who came before me were thieves and robbers. The sheep did not listen to them.
9 I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved. They will be able to come in and go out. They will find everything they need. 10 A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good.
11 “I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
12 The worker who is paid to keep the sheep is different from the shepherd. The paid worker does not own the sheep. So when he sees a wolf coming, he runs away and leaves the sheep alone. Then the wolf attacks the sheep and scatters them.
13 The man runs away because he is only a paid worker. He does not really care for the sheep.
14-15 “I am the shepherd who cares for the sheep. I know my sheep just as the Father knows me. And my sheep know me just as I know the Father. I give my life for these sheep. - John 10 vs 7 - 15

Kobojunkie:
Open your eyes when you read what is written to you in scripture, particularly that declared by God Himself. Whenever you read scripture, context is King! undecided
In that context, God clearly tells you that what He will do, He will do in verse 15 will not take place until the time when Jerusalem will be called the 'Lord's Throne'. In addition, God also revealed that at that time that the families of Judah and Israel would be joined, but that also hasn't taken place even to this day. God informed you that He will only give these shepherds at the time when Jerusalem will be known as God's Throne. And since that time has not happened, what that means is your pastors and mogs are not those God promised, instead they are the false teachers and false prophets that Jesus Christ told you to beware you. undecided

What part of the above is twisted when it is clearly what is written in scripture to you and everyone else who has eyes to see? undecided

It is either you are just being dishonest or you don't know what context means. You don't build a verse 15 meaning on what he says in verse 17. All surrounding texts have to be considered. Here's an instance:

13 But you must recognize your sin. You turned against the Lord your God. That is your sin. You worshiped the idols of other nations. You worshiped them under every green tree. You did not obey me.’” This message is from the Lord.
14 The Lord says, “You people are unfaithful, but come back to me because I am your master. I will take one person from every city and two people from every family and bring you to Zion.
15 Then I will give you new rulers who will be faithful to me. They will lead you with knowledge and understanding.

This is plain enough: If you come back to me, I will bring you to Zion. Then, in Zion, I will give you pastors according to my heart's who shall teach you...

Besides, what is Zion? Is Zion not the Kingdom of God, the kingdom to which we belong now?

Hebrews 12:22
[22]But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

The "new rulers" who would be faithful are pastors in the new testament. They are teachers of God's word in our day.

Jerusalem will be called God's throne because of the happenings that started and built from verse 14, 15, and 16. You don't jump to verse 17 to give meaning to verse 15. That's unsmart! That's not how you read a book!

You don't neglect the context in a passage to try and force your meaning of another text into it. Acts 20:28 was CLEARLY talking about preaching and teaching God's word. The context is crystal clear. Only a fool or a dubious fellow would try to manipulate that.

Anyone with some common sense knows that Matthew 25:31-40 refers to showing kindness. It was a parable used to teach that a follower of Christ must be kind. It wasn't Jesus' great commission. This literally appeared only once in all the gospels!

There were other parables in the same chapter. There was that of the ten virgins, parable of talents, and this. Each of them were teaching the good conducts that a servant of God should have. They weren't Jesus' main comission.

Jesus commissioned His apostles to do the same thing He did. See:

John 20:21
[21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

How did His Father send Him?

Luke 4:18-21
[18]The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
[19]To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
[20]And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
[21]And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Isn't this what He sent His Apostles to do? See:

Matthew 28:19-20
[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15-17
[15]And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
[16]He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[17]And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

In John 10, Jesus Christ clearly explained to you that He alone is the Shepherd to His sheep, and that all others, His followers, are paid workers, and not shepherds. He went as far as to clearly explain the differences between the duties of these two offices to you as well.

Jesus is the good shepherd. That's true. But He commissioned people to serve on His behalf. See what He shows you that He told His Apostles:

John 20:21
[21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

He sent them to function just like God sent Him. They would be shepherds. That means they would pastor, teach, and raise others. They would feed them with knowledge (Jeremiah 3:15).

This is crystal clear. Only a hardened heart wouldn't see it.

11 The Lord said to me, “Israel was not faithful to me, but she had a better excuse than unfaithful Judah.
12 Jeremiah, look toward the north and speak this message: “‘Come back, you faithless people of Israel.’ This message is from the Lord. ‘I will stop frowning at you. I am full of mercy.’ The Lord says, ‘I will not be angry with you forever.
13 But you must recognize your sin. You turned against the Lord your God. That is your sin. You worshiped the idols of other nations. You worshiped them under every green tree. You did not obey me.’” This message is from the Lord.

16 In those days there will be many of you in the land.” This message is from the Lord. “At that time people will never again say, ‘I remember the days when we had the Box of the Lord’s Agreement.’ They will not even think about the Holy Box anymore. They will not even remember or miss it. They will never make another Holy Box.
17 At that time the city of Jerusalem will be called the ‘Lord’s Throne.’ All nations will come together in the city of Jerusalem to give honor to the name of the Lord. They will not follow their stubborn, evil hearts anymore.
18 In those days the family of Judah will join the family of Israel. They will come together from a land in the north to the land I gave to their ancestors.” - Jeremiah 3 vs 10 - 18

I plainly summarized it. It's colored in purple or so. It is actually so so clear. You're the one creating a fuzzy, utopian scenario from verse 17.

I will be glad if we can have a public debate on this sometime soon , if you are anywhere around Lake Charles , Louisiana, we can set up a debate or we can do it online as well I would love to listen to what you got to say and your view about clapping and drumming In churches
And as is popularly known in Christianity, much of the clapping, drumming, singing of songs, even dancing, are all considered part of what is referred to as worship ritual aka praise. However, this ritual is clearly against Jesus Christ who instead said He does not need praise from any human - John 5 vs 41 - 45 - clearly revealing that kind of worship is not commanded by Jesus Christ. undecided

So, what part of this are you now fighting against me for? All I have done is quote exactly what Jesus Christ said over 2000 years ago in regards to your clapping, singing, drumming, dancing etc... worship rituals which many Churchians practice using His name. Isn't He the one you say you follow? undecided

You made a claim and what I ask is that you point out exactly where the claim you made of what is written comes from in the context of the declaration made there by God. Show what line(s) in the context corresponds to the claim in bold that you made up there. Where in the context do you pull this claim of yours which is that Jerusalem will be called the Lord's Thone because of the pastors? undecided.
You can't simply make these things up in your head. It has to correspond to what is written. undecided

See the attached images which show the Hebrew extracts from the same verses - Jeremiah 3 vs 14 - 17- and notice how it is a complete departure from all what you claim of what is clearly written. What is written in verse 14, and even 16 have yet to happen, so how could 15 have taken place? And then how can 17 be said to be a result of 15 when it isn't indicated as such in the context? undecided

This is a no-brainer at all. Read between the lines. Stop being dogmatic.

In verse 14, God requests the repentance of the people. He makes a promise which would come to effect upon their repentance. This is verse 15. He says: THEN I will give you pastors.

The use of "then" forms a conditional statement. The condition is their repentance. When the people repents, He would give them pastors to feed them with knowledge and understanding.

If you read the image you attached, you would see that verse 16 builds on verse 15. It says And it shall come to pass...

It shall come to pass when? Of course after HE (God) has given them pastors who feed them with knowledge and understanding.

We don’t have , we’re all equal, no GO , no senior pastor, no parish whatever! We are all brothers and sisters and anyone can be on the pulpit . We have our ways of doing things and we follow the doctrine of Christ in our church. We don’t follow whatever a preacher tells us to follow , we follow what Christ has stated in the Holy Book , oh yes we don’t pay tithes also , just in case you probably wanna know , that’s because the Bible didn’t ask us to .

Ironically, this is contrary to what Jesus or His apostles taught. Jesus raised men who took on his responsibilities. This is the responsibility of a pastor or church leader.

From the days of Moses to Christ, God has always chosen specific men to lead and guide others. Jesus built on this.

Jeremiah 3:15
[15]And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Read between the lines? Are you kidding me? undecided

It is clearly revealed in the greek Hebrew transcript that all 3 things listed in verses 14, 15 and 16, are to take place simultaneously, and the time it is all to happen is what is written in verse 17, but here you are instead advising me to read my delusions between the line in order that I arrive at what is the lie you have been pedalling on this for over a page now? undecided

Jesus Christ never taught His disciples what you claim, as He made it abundantly clear to them that He would have none of them sit as shepherds over His flock - John 10 vs 7 - 15. undecided

As for your claim that God did it, well, God never said that in Jeremiah 3 vs 15, since what He predicted is to take place instead when Jerusalem would be known as God's Throne, and this will only take place during what is the Millenial reign. undecided

What part of the scripture you quote infers what you are inferring? Did Jesus say "I will never have any of you shepherd His flock on His behalf?

Come on! Such an inference is not "abundantly clear." You would be lieing to stick that erroneous narrative.

Here's what He said to His Apostles while He commissioned them:

John 20:21
[21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Jesus was and is our shepherd. He sent His Apostles to function in His office (I send you as my Father sent me). That is DELEGATED RESPONSIBILITY. How is this too hard for you to grasp?? ??

He hasn't stopped sending men to do the same...

Matthew makes it clear. Jesus sent His Apostles to teach and disciple all nations (just as Jesus Himself discipled them).

Amen.

This is barely coherent, Sir/Ma. The passage in Jeremiah 3 is clear enough.

Lol. First, that passage was originally written in Hebrew. Not Greek.

Secondly, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING says it is to take place simultaneously.

If you were actually looking at the Hebraic renditions, you would see that "and" is not a word in itself. It is an expression used to continue discussion. Calm down a second and read unbiasedly. You are awkwardly reading your mind into this book.

Verse 16 unequivocally says "and it shall come to pass." Come on na!

It shall come to pass is happening at the same time with the statement that preceded it?

"I will give you pastors..... It shall come to pass (at the same time I am giving you pastors)...?? Chairman, make it make sense!

Why will the Bible say "it shall come to pass" when the previous verse hasn't passed? The previous verse is happening at the same time with its future (and it shall come to pass). Think na! Please!

The book is crystal clear. Crystal clear. Shelve the dogma they forced on you for a second...

You could as well tell us not to sing choruses to God,because God don't need our songs. I see this as seeking attention.

No, it isn't.

2. Like I said, you can't make these things up as you go. The passage clearly states that God will cause these things to happen at a certain time in Jerusalem, not in your Nigeria. undecided
14 The Lord says, “You people are unfaithful, but come back to me because I am your master. I will take one person from every city and two people from every family and bring you to Zion.
15 Then I will give you new rulers who will be faithful to me. They will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
And this is to take place when Jerusalem becomes known as the Lord's throne. That hasn't happened, why? Because that will only happen during the time of the resurrection of the Israelites when God gathers His scattered Israel back to Jerusalem through Jesus Christ. And all of those who verse 15 speaks of are of the blood of Israel as explained in that passage to you... the special Priests whom God will make at that time to rule over the world with - Deuteronomy 30 vs 1 - 16 & Exodus 19 vs 6 & Revelations 5 vs 9 -11. So, when you quote these verses out of context all so you can provide support for the idols that are your mogs and pastors of today, you almost literally slap God in the face, and tag Him a liar for the sake of these men. undecided

He is not wrong! There are no need to clap your hand or shout out for Christ, he already know full well your intentions just by looking at your soul.
