damosky12:I see you are attempting to argue blindly without properly investigating the context of scriptural references presented in any way. Here again is my first response to you. As for what is written in the first part of Acts 20 vs 28, well according to Jesus Christ, those who belong to His flock are paid workers - John 10 vs 7 -15, all of them, expected to feed His Sheep - give real food and drink to the least of the sheep - and Care for His flock - Home, Clothe, care for the sick, and visit those in prison. 31 “The Son of Man will come again with divine greatness, and all his angels will come with him. He will sit as king on his great and glorious throne. This is all of course far from what you and your so-called shepherds do in your churches. In John 10, Jesus Christ clearly explained to you that He alone is the Shepherd to His sheep, and that all others, His followers, are paid workers, and not shepherds. He went as far as to clearly explain the differences between the duties of these two offices to you as well. 7 So Jesus said again, “I assure you, I am the gate for the sheep. |

Kobojunkie: It is either you are just being dishonest or you don't know what context means. You don't build a verse 15 meaning on what he says in verse 17. All surrounding texts have to be considered. Here's an instance: 13 But you must recognize your sin. You turned against the Lord your God. That is your sin. You worshiped the idols of other nations. You worshiped them under every green tree. You did not obey me.’” This message is from the Lord. 14 The Lord says, “You people are unfaithful, but come back to me because I am your master. I will take one person from every city and two people from every family and bring you to Zion. 15 Then I will give you new rulers who will be faithful to me. They will lead you with knowledge and understanding. This is plain enough: If you come back to me, I will bring you to Zion. Then, in Zion, I will give you pastors according to my heart's who shall teach you... Besides, what is Zion? Is Zion not the Kingdom of God, the kingdom to which we belong now? Hebrews 12:22 [22]But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, The "new rulers" who would be faithful are pastors in the new testament. They are teachers of God's word in our day. Jerusalem will be called God's throne because of the happenings that started and built from verse 14, 15, and 16. You don't jump to verse 17 to give meaning to verse 15. That's unsmart! That's not how you read a book! |

Kobojunkie: You don't neglect the context in a passage to try and force your meaning of another text into it. Acts 20:28 was CLEARLY talking about preaching and teaching God's word. The context is crystal clear. Only a fool or a dubious fellow would try to manipulate that. Anyone with some common sense knows that Matthew 25:31-40 refers to showing kindness. It was a parable used to teach that a follower of Christ must be kind. It wasn't Jesus' great commission. This literally appeared only once in all the gospels! There were other parables in the same chapter. There was that of the ten virgins, parable of talents, and this. Each of them were teaching the good conducts that a servant of God should have. They weren't Jesus' main comission. Jesus commissioned His apostles to do the same thing He did. See: John 20:21 [21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. How did His Father send Him? Luke 4:18-21 [18]The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19]To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [20]And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. [21]And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Isn't this what He sent His Apostles to do? See: Matthew 28:19-20 [19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Mark 16:15-17 [15]And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16]He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17]And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Jesus is the good shepherd. That's true. But He commissioned people to serve on His behalf. See what He shows you that He told His Apostles: John 20:21 [21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. He sent them to function just like God sent Him. They would be shepherds. That means they would pastor, teach, and raise others. They would feed them with knowledge (Jeremiah 3:15). This is crystal clear. Only a hardened heart wouldn't see it. |

Kobojunkie: 14 The Lord says, “You people are unfaithful, but come back to me because I am your master. I will take one person from every city and two people from every family and bring you to Zion. 15 {God says "when you come back to me, this next statement will happen"} Then I will give you new rulers who will be faithful to me. They will lead you with knowledge and understanding. 16 In those days {what days? The days of verse 15} there will be many of you in the land.” This message is from the Lord. “At that time people will never again say, ‘I remember the days when we had the Box of the Lord’s Agreement.’ They will not even think about the Holy Box anymore. They will not even remember or miss it. They will never make another Holy Box. 17 {when verse 16 happens, then the city of Jerusalem (now flooded with the knowledge of God's will) will be known as God's throne} At that time the city of Jerusalem will be called the ‘Lord’s Throne.’ All nations will come together in the city of Jerusalem to give honor to the name of the Lord. They will not follow their stubborn, evil hearts anymore. Verse 17 brings this to mind: Habakkuk 2:14 [14]For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. The colored words are my words to guide you through the context. You don't read a book backwards like you seem to be doing. You read forward. You take cognizance of all sorrounding texts. I observed you haven't replied my other response to you. Where I proved to you that Jesus sent His Apostles as Shepherds just as God sent Him. Read and learn. God bless you! |

Kobojunkie: I think you’ve quoted the wrong Bible verse sir ! Go and read what quoted again and don’t ever quote me again because you’re not even sure of what you’re saying , you don’t have any argument here bruh so please don’t quote me again ! Go and read the Bible verse you made reference to and tell me how that correlate to the topic we’ve been having a conversation about !!! Don’t ever try to engage me on this platform anymore please because you keep deviating from the main subject!! We’re talking about clapping and drumming , you’re saying something else !! Listen I challenge you to a debate if you’re ready ! Don’t quote me unnecessarily! I’ve crushed your type before ! |

See the attached images which show the Hebrew extracts from the same verses - Jeremiah 3 vs 14 - 17- and notice how it is a complete departure from all what you claim of what is clearly written. What is written in verse 14, and even 16 have yet to happen, so how could 15 have taken place? And then how can 17 be said to be a result of 15 when it isn't indicated as such in the context?

damosky12: We don’t have , we’re all equal, no GO , no senior pastor, no parish whatever! We are all brothers and sisters and anyone can be on the pulpit . We have our ways of doing things and we follow the doctrine of Christ in our church. We don’t follow whatever a preacher tells us to follow , we follow what Christ has stated in the Holy Book , oh yes we don’t pay tithes also , just in case you probably wanna know , that’s because the Bible didn’t ask us to . |

Olojuobinrin:What do you mean I quoted the wrong verse? The verse clearly tells you that Jesus Christ does not need your praise. What other verse was I meant to quote abeg? Aren't your clapping and drumming and dancing rituals all supposedly in order to praise Jesus Christ or are you sleepy or something? |

Re: Clapping For Jesus Is Wrong — Pastor Damina Lectures Christians (Video) by Kobojunkie: 1:25am On Aug 20, 2022 |
Olojuobinrin:This was your beginning response, was it not? Olojuobinrin:And as is popularly known in Christianity, much of the clapping, drumming, singing of songs, even dancing, are all considered part of what is referred to as worship ritual aka praise. However, this ritual is clearly against Jesus Christ who instead said He does not need praise from any human - John 5 vs 41 - 45 - clearly revealing that kind of worship is not commanded by Jesus Christ. So, what part of this are you now fighting against me for? All I have done is quote exactly what Jesus Christ said over 2000 years ago in regards to your clapping, singing, drumming, dancing etc... worship rituals which many Churchians practice using His name. Isn't He the one you say you follow? |

Re: Clapping For Jesus Is Wrong — Pastor Damina Lectures Christians (Video) by damosky12(m): 8:23pm On Aug 20, 2022 |
Kobojunkie: This is a no-brainer at all. Read between the lines. Stop being dogmatic. In verse 14, God requests the repentance of the people. He makes a promise which would come to effect upon their repentance. This is verse 15. He says: THEN I will give you pastors. The use of "then" forms a conditional statement. The condition is their repentance. When the people repents, He would give them pastors to feed them with knowledge and understanding. If you read the image you attached, you would see that verse 16 builds on verse 15. It says And it shall come to pass... It shall come to pass when? Of course after HE (God) has given them pastors who feed them with knowledge and understanding. It takes anyone with average comprehensive skills to see this man! |
Re: Clapping For Jesus Is Wrong — Pastor Damina Lectures Christians (Video) by damosky12(m): 8:33pm On Aug 20, 2022 |
Olojuobinrin: Ironically, this is contrary to what Jesus or His apostles taught. Jesus raised men who took on his responsibilities. This is the responsibility of a pastor or church leader. From the days of Moses to Christ, God has always chosen specific men to lead and guide others. Jesus built on this. Jeremiah 3:15 [15]And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. |

damosky12:Jesus Christ never taught His disciples what you claim, as He made it abundantly clear to them that He would have none of them sit as shepherds over His flock - John 10 vs 7 - 15. As for your claim that God did it, well, God never said that in Jeremiah 3 vs 15, since what He predicted is to take place instead when Jerusalem would be known as God's Throne, and this will only take place during what is the Millenial reign. |
Re: Clapping For Jesus Is Wrong — Pastor Damina Lectures Christians (Video) by damosky12(m): 9:03pm On Aug 20, 2022 |
Kobojunkie: What part of the scripture you quote infers what you are inferring? Did Jesus say "I will never have any of you shepherd His flock on His behalf? Come on! Such an inference is not "abundantly clear." You would be lieing to stick that erroneous narrative. Here's what He said to His Apostles while He commissioned them: John 20:21 [21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. Jesus was and is our shepherd. He sent His Apostles to function in His office (I send you as my Father sent me). That is DELEGATED RESPONSIBILITY. How is this too hard for you to grasp?? ?? He hasn't stopped sending men to do the same... Matthew makes it clear. Jesus sent His Apostles to teach and disciple all nations (just as Jesus Himself discipled them). Matthew 28:19-20 [19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. As for your claim that God did it, well, God never said that in Jeremiah 3 vs 15, since what He predicted is to take place instead when Jerusalem would be known as God's Throne, and this will only take place during what is the Millenial reign. This is barely coherent, Sir/Ma. The passage in Jeremiah 3 is clear enough. |
Re: Clapping For Jesus Is Wrong — Pastor Damina Lectures Christians (Video) by damosky12(m): 9:16pm On Aug 20, 2022 |
Kobojunkie: Lol. First, that passage was originally written in Hebrew. Not Greek. Secondly, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING says it is to take place simultaneously. If you were actually looking at the Hebraic renditions, you would see that "and" is not a word in itself. It is an expression used to continue discussion. Calm down a second and read unbiasedly. You are awkwardly reading your mind into this book. Verse 16 unequivocally says "and it shall come to pass." Come on na! It shall come to pass is happening at the same time with the statement that preceded it? "I will give you pastors..... It shall come to pass (at the same time I am giving you pastors)...?? Chairman, make it make sense! Why will the Bible say "it shall come to pass" when the previous verse hasn't passed? The previous verse is happening at the same time with its future (and it shall come to pass). Think na! Please! The book is crystal clear. Crystal clear. Shelve the dogma they forced on you for a second... |

damosky12:1. 2. Like I said, you can't make these things up as you go. The passage clearly states that God will cause these things to happen at a certain time in Jerusalem, not in your Nigeria. 11 The Lord said to me, “Israel was not faithful to me, but she had a better excuse than unfaithful Judah. And this is to take place when Jerusalem becomes known as the Lord's throne. That hasn't happened, why? Because that will only happen during the time of the resurrection of the Israelites when God gathers His scattered Israel back to Jerusalem through Jesus Christ. And all of those who verse 15 speaks of are of the blood of Israel as explained in that passage to you... the special Priests whom God will make at that time to rule over the world with - Deuteronomy 30 vs 1 - 16 & Exodus 19 vs 6 & Revelations 5 vs 9 -11. So, when you quote these verses out of context all so you can provide support for the idols that are your mogs and pastors of today, you almost literally slap God in the face, and tag Him a liar for the sake of these men. |
