Point to us what he has done before in this regard. cool cool cool

This is why there's Google on your Smart phone. Google and search for Obi's achievements in Nigeria, grab a chair, relax and study through yourself and you'll know what he has done

Everything you said is right

Except for your second sentence.

That is nothing but hyperbole.

To "significantly" reduce the demand for PMS in a 200m people country where almost everyone uses PMS to run their generators would take nothing less than 100k nos of such buses.

And this assumes that 100k nos ICE buses will be phased out to make room for these otherwise there will be no difference.

Then you come to the problem of "Recharging"

Where do you get the supply to recharge even 20k nos of these buses in a country that generates far less electricity than every major city in the West and Asia?

If you say solar them you need a huge investment running into hundreds of billions, for panels, batteries, wiring inverters and mobile charging centers.

You tend to favour unrealistic and poorly thought through solutions over well thought out ones that take all major factors into consideration.

That's why you keep screaming Buhari should end subsidies and save the money. LOL

This govt will increase borrowing over the next 8 months as they haven't stolen anywhere near enough to take care of their tenth generation yet unborn
SmartPolician:
Wow! This is the best news I have read this week. wink If most states will key into this, it will significantly reduce the demand for PMS.

Brethren, behold our future Tesla and the experiment is being carried out in a place many people never expected - not Lagos, Abuja or PH, but Maiduguri!

This is great! Stuffs like this impact our everyday lives and have the potential to save us the "monstrous lie" and humongous payments in the name of subsidy.
Lagos can take a queue by adding these to the FMLM bus lines.

I don't know why y'all keep looking for facts on ground when you have Google to do the study yourselves. My brother go to Google and type Obi's achievements in Nigeria, grab a chair and relax while you read through his achievements. The internet is there to educate you man!!!
Exactly the issue . You did not need google to see and get the electrical car achievements. But you would recommend it for Obi’s achievements since it is quite opaque, I understand. Honestly he would be lucky to come a distant 3rd position. Forget the hype . Many of us are youth and do not buy the sectional hype.

Why must you undermine everything developmental about this country
Don’t you realise that the northeast can herness abundant solar energy then convert it to electrical energy that can power the buses?
Please be positive

In this Nigeria where electricity is scarce? How are they able to charge the vehicles? I hope all the electricity generated is not wasted in the North and the south is left an abysmal supply of electricity. In some southern states, they only get electricity for 3 hours a day.

A country that cannot boast of 24 hours electricity supply, how can electric cars and buses work in such country?

This is exactly why Nigeria needs peter Obi to reset this country and get it working again!

Nigerians have decided that it is Obi they want and together we can get it right this time around with PO. Vote wisely
you don't need twenty four hours of light before it's charged, just like your phones.Mr Biafran critic, never seen anything good in the"zoo" called Nigeria yet wants to become it's president through the backdoor via an internet based politician!l laugh in Spanish

It is fake news.

Nigeria at the moment cannot build any automobile with 62 % of local content. Car content - 65% - Steel and 10% -Aluminium. Nigeria does not have a single steel or aluminium plant in operation.

Where is the Glass, tyres, battery, brake pads, radio from , even the diesel oil is imported.

12 Seater prototype bus built from scratch in Maiduguri. 70% of the materials used are sourced locally here. Uses voice command.
It can move up to 212km, on a single charge. With the speed of 110km/hr. Is fully air conditioned. And is 100% electric

Based on the info I got, Maiduguri has been cut off from the national grid after Boko Haram blew up their connection hub (lack of a better word to use).

So, they use solar to power the city. I'm not surprised this is happening in Maiduguri.

Maiduguri is hot...they are using solar to charge the feeders ...Lagos na so so rain rain grin

The more reason states should be allowed to generate their own electricity...Hot regions will use solar, cold regions with water will use turbines, where they have wind will harness wind energy and the ones with abundance of coal like Enugu will use coal.

Well said.

I hope you know Inec will be using the new technology. So please stay safe 2023 is near, but no one wants to hear the word RIGGING.
Most of us do not buy this Obi repackaged thing. How can one say someone who has been in PDP, APC or even APGA became an Angel suddenly??.
You can fool some people all the time but you can’t fool everyone every time.

That repackaged thing is far better than Atiku and Tinubu combined together. Obi may not be a saint but he is the best candidate we have now.

If I may ask.

How many kilometers per hour, 110km?

What is total kilowatts power?

What is voltage of the power?

What is Drive current consumption per hour?

212km per a charge? And it serve for commercial?

What is charging duration?

In a country as Nigeria, how did solar activated power supply all energy needed to charge the entire vehicle?

You mount solar panels on the vehicle roof, how many volts and watts is the panel and how many DC current it deliver to the battery for some hours work.

If you use gas to power generator at cost of N800 per a liter, how did you cover the money?

I believe you charge N50 per passenger, and make enough profit at end of some hours work.

212km per every charge and you make enough money by the end of the day?

But I don't see you continue in business after given clear answer to my enquires.

Good luck

The buses might be powered with solar energy as Maiduguri has more sunlight than other states in Nigeria. I'm just saying though, not sure about that.
