Yes, debt laden infrastructural strides that contains a lot of waste. Also, many could have been carried out in far more cost effective ways.

For instance, $1.5b was borrowed to rehabilitate Port Harcourt refinery. The appropriate approach was to sell it as it is to a private company and let the new owner revamp it. Any debt the new owner borrows will be on their books and not the government.

Could these power projects be handled by a private company? If yes, then government carrying it out with borrowed funds isn't prudent. Borrowed money has to be repaid and presently, government revenue is insufficient to even service debt! More borrowing isn't prudent.
