Izzou, D.onjazet, l.arride, O asis007, S.egedinho read through this

https://mobile.twitter.com/ChimarokeNamani/status/1564318052061270019

I read the thread yesterday, also the Reactions of our Brothers from South East Region. Most of them spoke against it and called him Coward.

I would have shared it here, but having gone through the Responses to it on Twittter, I chose to lock up.

This is SE Nigeria.

https://twitter.com/fattylincornn/status/1564506035766845440?s=21&t=Xz4efSdF7UpyLA6E63WY7Q

Yet the indigenes of this state go to Lagos and insult Tinubu, blame him for a cult clash that he had no part in.

Meanwhile, their own states have terrorists marching freely on the streets.

It’s this level of hypocrisy that pisses me the fück off.

APC as a government has failed.

Of course, let’s dump personal responsibility on the government. Buhari told these youths to carry arms and be maiming their own people, destroying businesses, reducing the total IGR of the SE region.

He's saying Nigeria should chase Shoprite and Spar way from Nigeria because they've collected business from Mama Chinedu and Mr Garba, and while at it, should chase MTN/Airtel out of the country so we're sent back to the good old days of Nitel.

Only a couple of posts back, I saw Amoto defending the government using state money to fund cattle business...governments should stay as far away from running businesses as possible, especially the Nigerian government.

We kid ourselves when we say Nigerian political parties don't have philosophies on certain aspects of the state.
If im not mistaken subsidies are given to farmers in some developed countries to boost production but because this Nigeria where the best of intention/intervention is criticized without right.

When a fire outbreak happened in one of our pipelines, we discovered that some of the pipelines were actually connected to individual’s homes. And not only that, and with all sensitivity to our religious beliefs, you know, some of the pipelines and some of the products that we found, are actually in churches and in mosques,” Kyari said.

“This means that everybody is involved. There’s no way you will take products, bring them in trucks in populated neighborhoods, load them, and leave without everybody else knowing about it. Everybody includes members of the community, members of the religious leaders and also and most likely government officials of all natures, including security agencies personnel.”

The government should name and shame these religious houses involved , have their leaders and other individuals involved prosecuted and answer for their crimes . We should not just be reading about these things in pages of newspapers and on social media, they should put face to these criminals and single them out for punishment in accordance with the laws of the land .

One thing I’ve learnt is when people are aware there are little or no consequences to their actions, they tend to have disregard for both laws and rules of morality.

A senior colleague was telling me how things usually operated in one of the first generation banks in the past. When a staff is found to have committed a fraud and the money he fraudulently appropriated is lower than his expected severance package/retirement benefits, they just deduct the money from his retirement benefits/ gratuity and allow him/her to continue working with the same bank with constant salary with full benefits till retirement . The cases of fraud never abated in the bank due to this policy till during Sanusi’s tenure as CBN governor and new management took over the bank.

With new management in place, any case of fraud is transferred to EFCC, the staff is summarily dismissed and most of them end up getting prosecuted even after the bank must have pursued recovery from the benefits that would’ve accrued to the staff. The cases of fraud reduced to a barest minimum cos people knew there were major consequences for their actions

You are right about the fact that people aren't punished for their crimes well enough in this country that's criminal activities will continue to thrive because people are not held accountable for their undoings, at best what we get is a slap on the wrist kind of punishment or a Presidential pardon few years down the line. Naming and prosecuting offenders will serve as deterrence to others failure to do so will embolden existing and would-be offenders.

You are right.

Sometimes when you read what Kyari says you wonder if the govt has no powers or they just decided not to use the power. How can we be losing 95% from a terminal to theft and everyone involved in that terminal are not cooling off in prison at this moment.

No way crude oil bunkering of that extent will be happening without the collusion and knowledge of everyone working there.

Kyari should've been sacked since that adulterated fuel happened, buhari gave an order for those responsible for the fuel to be investigated and prosecuted but nothing happened.

Everyone working on that Bonny plant from the MD to the bottom should be sacked and prosecuted and their accomplice in the community, religious house and creeks should be rounded up also.
