Cos they are used to insolence, harassing and victimizing students here.
I agree with you on this. The lecturers are no different from the politicians whom they want us to take sides against. Imagine lecturer telling his students that A is for God, B is for him and C is for genius at the start of the class. Like someone's said, this resignation is audio. How many of them would be able to work in a sane society where they would not be able to sexually harass and victimised their students? Hmmm, very few of them oooo.

Give the universities to states that are struggling with their own universities and also unable to pay N30k minimum wage?

You call an agitation that started in 2009 media antics?

Are you the Accountant General of the Fed. to arrive at N2.3T?
There's a reason why Jesus Christ Himself said, "Cast not your pearl before swine...". Stop wasting your pearls of wisdom on people who are so bereft of the capacity to understand it!

Why not be truthful for once and face a theiving generation of leaders including the one that stole a whole N109b and is now asking.for plea bargain. Or perhaps, a Minister who spent billions feeding.childten during Covid-19 period?.

Is this strike still on, i thought that Tinubu and his team was busy trying to resolve it?

Tinubu backed out when Obi volunteered to take over.

So, how far?

Make them resign. We have many individuals with good qualifications and ambition to become lecturers. This will pave way for them to be employed as lecturers.
In your myopic thinking, this is an excellent solution. The bright and qualified persons you are proud of will stay with the poor service conditions right? The people leaving today were once bright and qualified. Someone sure made this kind of reckless statement before the people leaving today entered the system. It is fine, the so called qualified ones will fill the vacuum today but leave tomorrow and the cycle continues. While the thieves continue looting. The leadership is a reflection of the majority of the followers no doubt.

It's easier for a donkey to pass through a thread than for a Nigerian lecturer to resign. It's like Tinubu stepping down from the presidential race or Buhari stepping down from Aso rock during his first tenure.

How many of them have the resources to run research? How many of them is high-moraled to do that? Oh...why are Nigerians in Europe and America doing well in that same medical Fields but the ones at home aren't? Can a lecturer that hasn't been paid for months decide to go around looking for Covid-19 vaccine? The ones doing it are the ones that their governments spend billions to help them in researches!

These are audio resignations. ASUU is only raising the alarm to coerce the FG into doing their biddings. Perhaps they went on vacations till their demands are met by the FG. The lecturers have more to gain than just quitting.

The truth is majority cannot resign on the basis of capacity except the medical doctors. How many Nigerian lecturers as of today can be employed outside Nigeria. The percentage is extremely low.
Also, another fact is that academic freedom you enjoy in Nigeria Universities, cannot be enjoyed anywhere else.

. I totally agree with you. Alot of things are abberant in our educational system. Fir example ASU is requesting more fund in the universities from the government. How did they spend the previous funds from the government? They also requested salary increase. The government agreed some adjustments which will go across all institutions including polytechnics but they should wait till that is captured in 2023 budget. ASU disagreed. They said UTAS must be used for their payment. Is that logical? You are dictating for your employer. Consequent on that they embarked on strike indefinitely. They said before they resume all their outstanding salaries must be paid .Is that the way to go about it! Even when thery are in session what have they achieved for Nigeria! Some even collect money for researches only to do a wishy washy research and spend the money on cars and housing. Is it not good
to resume work and continue negotiation on yiur outstanding salaries which government will pay you? They think they are the wisest in Nigeria.I pity our students at home but as for ASU whoever wants to resign shiukd do so. No union is sacred in Nigeria!

Thank you Jare.... There are two categories of people who will not leave this country for another
1. Senior Lecturers
2. Senior Medical Consultant
This guy's know what they are doing and know that they can get away with anything here but no where else....
If they leave they would still come back ....Even the so-called upcoming ones are going to find their way back ...

Those lecturers resigning, have you asked your brain why they might be doing that?

Why do you Tinubu idiots behave as if your brain has been locked up in darkness? Why have you refused to grow up and see that the world isn't in the 18th century again?

I won't be surprised if you are a Muslim. Very absurd, backward, stupid reasoning.
