20 fcking signings!! Just to to be relegated back to the hole they came from

It's looking like Awoniyi move there was a bad one.. They now have many forwards.. All 21 new players can't even make the matchday squad at the same time...

Brendan Rodgers has blasted Leicester City hierarchy for not being able to sign players during the transfer window, it is now a case of whether he resigns or is sacked first

Mikel actually excelled in the attacking aspect of midfield plays. Led the 2013 Afcon tournament in assists.

Capable defensively for Chelsea just as he was offensively for Nigeria from deep in midfield.

But our mikel 2.0 can’t go forward or else flying the ball up and down like Sunday league

Look at the game today he wasn’t missed at the midfield at all and that scares me for his future

Brendan rogers is a spineless swine

He doesn’t know what he wants yet or what he wants to achieve and he’ll follow the door like Scott Parker

Omanambala1, is that you?? grin

But seriously speaking, I am beginning to consider moving Ndidi to CB indeed. Raphael Onyedika should in time take over the CDM role.

Ndidi's ballplaying in that CDM role is not good enough. It's bang average. It partly makes our midfield plays look disjointed.

Still under consideration for me. But ofcos, we know he will play DM when next our Super Eagles meet unless Peseiro surprises us.

Sadiq Umar to Real Sociedad: Update

Small blip in his medicals. They detected Sadiq carries a knee knock currently. Well, I don't think it will hamper the deal from going through. Some cite that a similar situation happened with Isak when he first arrived.

I am not surprised at this though... the pics of his arrival at the clinic/hospital at San Sebastian for his meds show he did have a strap on his left knee.

Deadline Day Review: Naija lads

So only Sadiq Umar and Simy moved on deadline day. At least, as far as I know.

Chukwueze to Everton didn't happen despite the confirmed links. Interest was there. Inquiries made, discussions held but perhaps no bid tabled.

Ola Aina to West Ham didn't happen as well despite West Ham's interest. Initial bid (€4M fixed + €4M bonuses) was turned down by Torino who wanted €6M fixed + €4M bonuses. A gap of €2M stopped the move from happening.

Ndidi and Bassey pairing at CB should inject some ball-playing ability to our backline and retire Ekong and his anywhere-belle-face long passes for good.

But I think we need Bassey and his laser-guided crosses badly at LB. And I don't know who can replace Ndidi at DM for now so....... unless Chief Ajibola Bolatito Adebolanle steps up his game, we may just continue with the status quo.

Wilfred Ndidi FT Stats for Leicester as CB.

Leicester 0-1 Manchester Utd - EPL Matchday 5

90mins+ played.
105 touches.
82/91 accurate passes.
90% passing accuracy.
100% ground duels won (3/3).
100% aerial duels won (1/1).
13 recoveries.
1/3 accurate long balls.
5 clearances.
5 headed clearances.
2 tackles.
2 interceptions.
Was fouled once.

*A Rock Solid Central Defensive Performance from the Octopus.

*Ndidi completed the most passes (82) in the game today. Also recorded the Highest Passing Accuracy (90%) for all players to play 45mins or more.

*Ndidi should just continue getting playing time as a CB. He feels happiest and at home when he is defending and doing his ball-winnings and keeping his passes short and crisp.

Who let the MONSTER out? This was phenomenal.

To the best of my knowledge, Ndidi started as a central defender. Maybe, he is being played off position.

Those numbers aren't impressive, brother. Regular stats for any average defender against a good team.

If he got those as a DM, then they became eye-catching.

His defending Stats come as no surprise. He's built for it.

His ball-playing was still an issue. Never mind the passing Stats. Ndidi still struggled a few times yesterday on the ball when he had to make quick-fire decisions when the ball reached him under pressure.

And I believe that for the first time this season and probably in a long while, Ndidi is recording the most passes in a game. BUT IT CAME AS A CB. Not as a CDM. CBs normally lead in passing stats or are at least normally Top 3. Check your Man City team for reference.

TRUTHFULLY, it is easier for CBs to statpad in the passing accuracy Stats coz most of them are almost always short "easy" passes anyway.

But 13 recoveries. Oh yeah... this is Ndidi! This is what he can get also as a CDM.

5 headed clearances. Piece of cake, he's done more even several times before.

Tackles and Interceptions are his breakfast so no surprises here too.

Thing is he should be made to continue as CB. And I hope Peseiro considers this too going forward and should even Name HIM ASST. CAPTAIN henceforth and Maybe Moses Simon named as Substantive Matchday Captain for now. Ekong shouldn't continue being Captain from INACTIVITY.

Time to make the hard but "better-for-the-team" decisions and make them now!

You speak truly.

Good regular CBs bag those passing Stats week in, week out so his passing Stats were no surprise and explains why for the first time in a good while, Ndidi led in passing accuracy in an EPL fixture.

As for his defending, it was just Ndidi being Ndidi as always, so no surprises. He was rock-solid but let's face it, he was meant to do well at CB. No caps.

He should continue as CB going forward. Better for him as he enters his Natural Peak years and better for the Super Eagles.

Ndidi as a defender would be playing for the top clubs by now. Ndidi should stay in the defense!

And below are a few Lineup options featuring Raphael Onyedika Nwadike in the near future as CDM considering that Ndidi is moved to CB. This is just 4 out of the many possibilities I've been considering and analysed personally. I could paste all in one post but 4 is allowed per post. Have your say, if you must. wink

I don't really understand this latest campaign against Ndidi, waa yesterday the first time he's playing as a make shift cb for Leicester. All of a sudden Ndidi is now the reason Nigeria don't play well. Some people are trying to push a narrative to portray Ndidi as not good in his role as a dm anymore.

Exactly. Most of those passes are between him and his CB patner, that's why he has 90% pass accuracy.

I saw his stats. Ndidi is very good. It is just that he has been told to keep it simple.
