Should a minister be poor? Just demand for good governance and choose your leaders wisely, don’t be deceived by fake promises from Peter Obi and his likes.

Get rid of this evil mentality. Politicians are the cause of our problem in this country. They milk us dry.

Politics is not anywhere close to being this lucrative in Europe and they are living far better than us.

We'll only get better when we make those seats unattractive. Then can we see people who really want to serve and not people who want to use Nigeria as their retire plan

And some fools in this country and on this website keeps on attacking ASUU, (the pillar of education in nigeria) for asking for an implementation of an already agreed and signed agreement with the federal Government they work for and a country they serve?

This generation breeds idiocy.

You guys just rush to comment without any iota of understanding of the subject of discussion. DTA was increased across board for every public servants including ASUU members.

It is now left for each MDAS to manage their traveling budget in-line with the new rates as additional allocation won’t be given to any agencies.

DTA is paid to public servants who are on official assignment so this is not a big deal. The headline is simply mischievous and sensational.

Before you defend this government or any for that matter. Did you see how they silently reviewed their allowances upwards. No committee or subcommittee debate. Just review and president signed.

It's not like these people are not already extremely wealthy but they still went ahead to do it. Even though they tell ordinary Nigerians to make sacrifices that the country is broke.

Same minimum wage that is not fully implemented is what they're reviewing upwards for themselves because inflation has wiped it off. Meanwhile you and I are still stuck with same

The military and teachers are earning less than 5dollers and nobody cares but these animals that already have billions hidden in their houses are the people government cares for. This is the reason why insecurity will continue, any country without Justice will never grow. I wish the colonial masters masters will come back and colonise us again. It is better to be a slave to oyeebo than being a slave to your fellow country man. Even prisoners in the US and UK are better than the so called free citizens of this country.

I don't think anybody is saying ASUU demands/intentions are unjust.

Just that the way they are going about it is not the best.
200 days of strike, what has changed?
They can go on strike for 20 years, it won't affect the government and their relatives.

Are ministers not performing civil service? Why should they earn more than their counterpart

There's no other way than to join every other good Nigerians in electing good leaders.

Having good leaders is what will save education and other sectors in Nigeria, not strike.

If ASUU think they can keep doing same thing (strike) and expect different outcomes, then they also have problems.

So every civil servant should earn the same? Do they perform same duties? Like I said, just demand for good governance and everything will be fine

A minister should not be poor? U mean one should go into publicserviceto enrich themselves?
They should increase their salaries and put an end to all these tour eastercode nonsense!
You see....Trump had enough billionaires and millionaires in his cabinet. You are meant to serve as a public servant and not to enrich your selves!

This has been my major problem with obidients, you can’t impose your candidate on everyone, I don’t like Obi and I’m not under any obligation to support him, mount more pressure. I’m young and not obidient, so what?
