i do not see how the british has help any other country in the world other than leading them to famine and war and they so much deserve to be fu*ked in the ass, her family presided over the colonization, looting of treasures and fueling the nigerian civil war with nothing to show for as good service, such selfish people |

eguarojeona:Apparently, you need to read the tweet well..he deliberately targeted UJu. She is twitter verified and works for a University in which he provides funding to. These Irish people on twitter. There are no proof of who they say they are. I can also create a profile with an Irish name while I am busy posting from Jalingo. Even if they are real Irish, they are not Influential like Uju. 3 Likes |

ShaqFu:Now you're talking. Personally I am totally indifferent to her death. Indifference spiced with a little nostalgia because, heck, she has been the Queen since I was born so seeing a new face on the throne whenever I read about news from that region will take some adjusting to. My dear, me sef dey ponder japa options. The people fleeing the shithole are now so many that appointment dates for passport renewal is now stretching to December. I personally know someone who requested for 7th of September for capturing but instead got 6th of December. My guy, I shock |

How does Peter Obi or Tinubu personality or view relate to the view of Prof Anya. Which one of them has passion against oppression of the masses either through direct or indirect stealing, killing, maiming of both the body and the mind of their subject or opposition SmartyPants: |

Ibrahimcoomasie: 1) zik had no power to remove or put something into the constitution of British Nigeria, he was never that powerful, so stop the lies 2) there were a lot of people in that coup nzeogwu was just one of them 3) ironsi proposed a Unitary system of governance he never destroyed it, they were 4 regions with 4 military governors when ironsi was head of state, he was on a tour to explain to leader's of all regions what the proposed unitary system of governance he wanted to introduce was all about when he was killed, besides it was going to be temporary 4) 30 thousands Easterners were killed all over Nigeria, they returned home and mandated ojukwu to take them out of Nigeria when all options to settle the crisis didn't work , so I wonder what you mean by needless war 2 Likes 1 Share |

They can jubilate from now till eternity. The Queen has lived a fulfilled life and passed on at a ripe age. 100s of Nairaland pages of anger and anguish won't change that. 1 Like |

It is baffling to see Nairalanders being for or against the late queen. What interests me more are the viewpoints of those who say the past should be forgotten and moved away from. It interests me because these same individuals can't seem to apply this same principle to the history of Nigeria and the parts our ancestors played in the coups and civil wars in this country. The hatred and suspicions are still there amongst the Yorubas, Igbos, Hausa/Fulanis and we of the Niger Delta. Time may heal but the scars do remind. 1 Like |

jimyjames:Lol Even Zik won't talk that nonsense. Zik aligned with the north to make sure that there was no succession clause in the constitution and doing so would amount to treason. Ojukwu was lucky he fled. He would have been executed by firing squad if he had not fled. Blame Azikiwe for the Biafra and not Egypt, Britain , Russia and many other countries that aligned with Nigeria. https://www.nairaland.com/6784150/awolowo-asked-secession-clause-zik Now that Igbos are killing themselves in the East via IPOB/ESN, you would still find someone else to blame instead of looking inward. 1 Like

Ibrahimcoomasie:You are not making sense my friend, the North were actually agitating to break away from Nigeria in the 40s 50s they didn't want to be in the same country with the South cause the South was better educated and British Nigeria worked only on Merit , level of education, Why wasn't the president of biafra after ojukwu, Philipp effiong not executed by firing squad ? The war ended , no victor no vanquished , that was Gowons declaration cause at the end of it all the Nigeria, it was a self inflicted injury by Nigeria |
Re: Irish Twitter Jubilate Over The Death Of Queen Elizabeth II by Ibrahimcoomasie: 6:55pm On Sep 09, 2022 |
jimyjames:Was Effiong the leader of the rebel? That was Ojukwu my friend. Ojukwu was the brain behind Biafra. No victor no vanquished doesn't make much sense. It's hot air. We all know Nigeria was the Victor and Biafra was the vanquished; hence, the cry up till now. E.g. Professor UJu's post. It's common knowledge that Ojukwu always aligned with the north. Even when the North threatened to break away. He still aligned with the north because of greed. The north eventually gave him a useless post of President sha. While they took the more important post of Prime Minister. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/07/zik-is-the-trouble-with-nigeria-1/ 1 Like

Ibrahimcoomasie: Effiong was the vice president of biafra and he was the president in the absence of ojukwu, that was why he had all the powers to surrender biafra to Nigeria in the absence of ojukwu The North wanted to break away from Nigeria in the 50s so it makes no sense to say zik and the North didn't want succession in the British Nigerian Constitution, the North actually wanted to break away |

Re: Irish Twitter Jubilate Over The Death Of Queen Elizabeth II by Ibrahimcoomasie: 7:08pm On Sep 09, 2022 |
jimyjames:Ojukwu should have stayed. Maybe you can tell us why he fled. My take. He knew Effiong was a figure head just like Zik was given the figure head president position after joined forces with the north to prevent The north from breaking away. Effiong quickly handed over 4 days after he became the head of Biafra. Like I said earlier. You can't blame Biafra war atrocities on the Queen. She holds a ceremonial title. I am suprised you did not blame the Egyptian air forces that actually carried out bombing campaigns in civilian population in Biafra. 1 Like |
