This your analogy is weired and unpopular.. so because I quarel with my brother, then that justifies me to close my mouth when an outsider treats me worse ?

Is that it?

After reading this your post, I had to scroll up and begin reading it again!! This was just too good. Every point was a hit!

This is fvcking gold. Nice expository here. Brilliant thoughts my friend. Excess oil dey your head bro.

ixyi:

Peter Obi is an open book, nothing to hide. So, of course, you know everything about him.
But the question is what exactly do people know about your candidate, Tinubu. Everything about him is riddled in controversies. Since he barely has the mental capacity to answer questions by himself, even his media spokespersons are finding it difficult presenting believable details about a presidential hopeful.

Why are you guys gloating because PO exposed the mildest albeit wicked form of an average Tinubu lapdog for the whole world to see. Instead of you to attack the topic about the unfair use of seaports and the uncommon advantage it gives Lagos against other states you'd gladly want to make silly comparison with, you're all there foaming in the mouth whilst accusing PO of being a tribalist.

You guys are cunningly funny, lol. Some days ago, the video of Tinubu's wife, an undistinguished Senator, a so called pastor, a tout in female form, resurfaced online. It is said that out of the aboundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. Imagine a public figure disguised under the cloak of a joke openly threatening to feed herself and her family to a deity. If such a person can say these in public view, you can imagine what kind of bile they both spew whenever they're hiding in coven of their bedrooms.

I can't recall any of you guys, failure reinforcers, remotely calling her a tribalist but here you are crying that PO is a tribalist.

You guys forget that this isn't 2015 or 2019 where in a bid to progress the country from GEJ, you guys held sway over the internet and controlled the narratives. People aren't ignorant anymore, and can deduce the brainwashing attempts from your comments.

A quick glance over most threads on this forum alone, you'd easily find Tinubu's urchins trying to initiate sparring duels between Yorubas and Igbos. These urchins following the templates given to them term whoever as ipo b, ipi g... in a bid to induce a retaliatory afon ja response.

Remember the Ekiti n Osun election. Anybody against APC automatically becomes ipo b.
You begin to hear remarks like anybody that Igbos support are bound to lose. Lol. Too bad, that silly phrase has been quashed time and time again.

It's because of these tribalistic tendencies of Tinubu's urchins that made the Edos and Middle beltans carry Peter Obi's campaign on their head like GeePee tank. If not, Tinubu's urchins would have triumph with the narratives of PO being Igbo agenda and presidency. But Tinubu isn't Yoruba only agenda or presidency to them.

So who exactly are the tribalist¿?
Definitely not the Igbos, definitely not the Yorubas.
They are your fellow Tinubu urchins who supplanted this failed government, defended them and now want to reinforce the failure on over 200m people.

Why are you guys ready to sacrifice the interest and progress of everyone in this country¿?
Well, of course, it's because it's now Tinubu's turn to loot the national treasury after helping Bubu and his cronies have a good time the last 7 years.
Nothing nothing, something must surely reach APC card carrying members hand this time around.

So, Peter Obi is not a tribalist, he's only reinforcing and showing to the world what most Nigerians already know about Tinubu's urchins.

Most Nigerians have access to Tinubu's strategists space and know how they think.
That below was how the urchins intended to counter POs campaign but it's failing. Nigerians are wiser now. If you like, deny.

God knows I'm screenshoting this for reposts.

You can never use tribalist resentment to sell your expired product in this country again.
So, rest in Jesus name. grin

This is Tukur Mamu.

He is the publisher of the Desert Herald, a newspaper outfit based in Kadunna.

He was arrested by Interpol a few days ago at Cairo airport on his way to Saudi Arabia and deported back to Nigeria, where he was picked up by DSS on arrival.

Now, here is why Tukur was picked up.

The influential Islamic cleric has access to Fulani herdsmen and the terrorists terrorizing North West Nigeria.

He is very close to Sheik Gumi and was more or less a protege of Gumi, who also has access to the same terrorists and has been pleading on their behalf that the government of the day should grant them amnesty.

Because of the access that Tukur had, he turned it into a business where he became the chief negotiator and the go-between between the victims kidnapped and the terrorists who kidnapped them.

So when a victim is kidnapped in Kaduna or Zamfara, for instance, the family of the kidnapped victim will go to meet Tukur, who has access to the terrorists.

Tukur would now get in touch with the terrorists on behalf of the family that contacted him and then negotiate on behalf of the victim being held by the terrorists.

When the price to pay as ransom was agreed upon between Tukur and the terrorists, Tukur would contact the family and then inform them how much they would pay to secure the release of their loved ones being held captive by terrorists.

When the money had been raised by the grieving and traumatized family, Tukur would collect his share, the commission for negotiating the release, and then hand over the rest to the terrorists to release this victim.

A win/win situation for the both parties.

Business was flourishing as the terrorists were kidnapping victims every day.

Remember the Kaduna train attack?

Tukur negotiated the release of all the victims; they were released so long after they allegedly paid 100 million naira per head.

Only God knows how much commission he made from the deal but I was told it was in billions.

The same man brought his negotiating skills forward when Greenfriend university students and staff in Kaduna were kidnapped by bandits.

He facilitated the release of the students and staff of the university after negotiating how much they would pay for their release.

Tukur is so hilarious and dishonest that after cashing out from negotiations and then subsequent release of victims that he facilitated, he would appear on Arise TV and swear that he was doing this thankless work for free, without taking kobo from anyone, because he loved this country so much.

For Tukur Mamu, having access to Fulani herdsmen made him a billionaire over night.

Man was living large, a life of opulence that he could not afford to live when he was running his media publishing business full time.

He even flew first class with his two wives and sons to Cairo on their way to Saudi Arabia for Haji before they were picked up by interpol.

When they raided the house a few days ago, the DSS confirmed that they saw a large amount of foreign currency in it.

Apparently, he was saving his loot in dollars by hedging against inflation and the devaluation of Naira: What a smart business man that he is.

The Buhari government made a lot of criminals rich over night because of his incompetence.

Tukur Mamu is one of them.

Nigeria!

A country where anything you see, you take it like that. - Written by Chukwudi Iwuchukwu

This is why I’ve always been against Gumi and everything he says about insecurity in the northwest . And this is why I will never agree Buhari’s government has done its best to on insecurity challenges this far

If Tinubu is Lagos’ foremost governor , I wonder what we would call Lateef Jakande. That man within 4 years of rule established Lagos state university , built low cost housing estates in Badagry , Iponri , Oke-Afa, Iba , Abesan, Surulere , Epe, Aumwo-Odofin etc, he built general hospitals in Ikorodu , Gabgada and even built health centres scattered around the state . The baba even made free education a must and built more schools and classrooms during that same 4 years . The number of public primary schools increased from 605 to 812

I think how Lateef Jakande performed these feats that now appear like miracle miracle today needs to be studied as a course for our present day politicians .

Lateef jakande was governor when a 77kobo was a dollar. He was a governor in the it is not money but how to spend it era. He was governor when lagos had a population of 4 million. He was governor at a time Nigeria could afford to send hundreds of graduates out for masters.

It was a completely different time. A different economy, a different population.

It was also a time when Nigeria could afford purely socialist undertakings.

What would Lateef jakande have done in 1999,with an empty treasury, a population that had more than doubled a naira at over 30 to the dollar in a country just exiting pariah status and with most of Lagos infrastructure gone to shit?

No, I disagree with you.

Lagos had it's problems back then and Jakande sorted them. Jakande ruled at a time when Lagos population was described as getting overstretched . In fact Jakande had to cancel two academic sessions and reverted from the old day/evening school being operated back then.

The fact that other second republic governors couldn't replicate most Lateef Jakande did in their states shows the man is actually a performer and not because he came by some largesse we don't know about.

If Jakande had PR guys harping on how he tranformed Lagos (Like Tinubu's PR guys do with the IGR talk), maybe it would've been imprinted in our minds thatr Jakande is acutally a miracle worker (Of course without the gazillion IGR of Lagos state we read about everyday)

Someone posited that Jakande had the first billion naira budget. A billion naira in the 1980s. That implies lagos had a budget of over a billion dollars. At a time when a car was n3000 (if u recall) so you can have an idea of cost of materials etc.

You make miracles when you run on a shoestring budget.

Jakande was operating with a brand new car in prime condition. Tinubu took over a broken down car
You simply cannot compare Nigeria in the early 1980s with Nigeria at the 2000s. People were predicting the country would be a future world power back then.

Trying to compare two leaders from two very different times with very different challenges is disingenuous.

I remember Tinubu complaining that he met an empty treasury. Also remember shortly after buba marwa retired, he started Al barka air. Maybe like some others he had 'real estate investments'

Also, Jakande did not run for president. If he had, you can be sure he would also have a pr team telling you about all of his achievements.

I'm not trying to win an argument about Biafra.

My position has always been that Nigeria is a useless and unworkable contraption that either needs to be broken up, or accepted as a doomed state.

The argument about the Queen and Biafra for me represents the importance of looking forward instead of back. Unlike in Nigeria, the British crown was more directly involved in the subjugation of India, and up until last week an Indian man was within a hairs breadth of becoming Prime Minister of the country that colonised the lands of his ancestors, and this was after having held and resigned from the 2nd most powerful office in the country.

There's a powerful irony at play here seeing a bunch of Indians (there were 5 in the Johnson Government) colonise thr colonisers. And an Indian is currently the Mayor of London

In the Nigeria of today, a Yoruba man cannot even be Governor of an Igbo state or Vice Versa. Its funny that some people are blaming the Queen and the Colonialists for a war started by people who killed democratically elected leaders and could not then agree on how to rule the country, when a Nigerian can literally move to the UK aged 16 like Kemi Badenoch and become a Minister in the UK Government.

That was what I found so absurd about the underlying premise of Uju Anya's tweet, made from a former British Colony, enjoying thr freedom to marry a woman that she does not even have in the land of her own Birth.

Like me and Roland17, you sef don japa. You sef know the score. If we want to complain about oppression, the worst oppression is to be found at the hands of those who look just like us.

This is ultimately the point I tried to make.
Gbam. I couldn't have worded it better myself. Anybody still hollerin about that old mama regarding Nigeria just dey chase clout. It's better you tell me you're upset about how her family treated Princess Diana. That is a more credible argument

Jakande did well in his time and you can't take that away from him, but you can't compare the problems he tackled to the ones Tinubu faced.

Tinubu has used the state machinery to (allegedly) enrich himself and his associates but in the same vein his vision has created opportunities and avenues for people to make money so much so people keep rushing to Lagos for the proverbial golden fleece.

Through his vision of a Lekki free trade zone a port is now there, Dangote fertilizer and oil refinery is now there. Ocean surge that was threatening to sink the whole of VI is now prime estate in Eko Atlantic. Molues that dominated Lagos traffic replaced by BRT, rebuilt and modernized Lagos courts.

Like Ferguson and Manchester United team of the 1990s to 2010s you can hate and despise them but it will be the height of dishonesty not to acknowledge they were a great team. Like Tinubu I'm not a fan of the man or his politics but he has achieved many noteworthy things in his time with next to no federal support from Obasanjo that's fact. Some would claim it's because Lagos was capital as if other states don't have ports or federal assets of their own.

So, who is to blame here, a company looking for concessions or elected members of government selling out their country?

Read about ABSCAM. a sting the fbi carried out on Congress in the 70s. They pretended to be Arab shieks. Seven Congressmen were convicted. But some refused any attempt at bribery

There is nothing new about being approached to sell your country or your family or your employer out for a bribe.

Unless of course your argument is that Nigerians are of such weak mind and character they will all fall yakata every time.

Go and read about how in India, huawei and Ericsson deploy equipment at a fraction of the cost anywhere else in the world. You think they did not also try to bribe indian officials?
