I have said it before and people pretend to be shocked. Nwakali is the most talented midfielder we currently have. You can argue he plays at second division or that he has not hit top for but his skill set is still unmatched with the current crop of midfielders we parade. People who are throwing shots at Nwakali are simply ignorant and shortsighted. He will reclaim his form soon and his talents will shine bright. This current spell of form will build confidence in him. He need to believe in himself and shikena. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Danielnino00:well from that angle you can say atleast 90% of Nigerians that are supporting foreign clubs are glory hunters because their fanships with the clubs began during the times of success. It's only few people that support clubs due to other reasons than trophies e.g Everton, Tottenham, Bolton, Sunderland, Newcastle and co. The traditional big four In the EPL got their large number of foreign fans due to their success and nothing more. |

Amedino99: I don't agree with the 90% part... Some people start supporting certain clubs for other reasons aside their success. For instance, a lot of long term Arsenal fans in Nigeria started supporting the club when Kanu moved there.. Also, Chelsea fanbase in Africa increased when they had the likes of Drogba, Essein, Mikel and Kalou playing at the same time despite the fact that they aren't that much of a dominant team. In Egypt and many Arab countries, Liverpool developed a big fanbase because of Salah.. It's likewise on this thread where we have Thegoodjoe that claimed he dumped Man Utd for city because he believed in Man city's project. we also have Andrew that claims to be a Man City fan but we know it's because of Guardiola he also occasionally claims to support PSG because of Messi ... if it's based on succese alone then I'm sure clubs like Bayern and Madrid will have bigger fanbase. From my estimate, the biggest fanbase in Nigeria are: 1. Man Utd 2. Chelsea 3. Barca 4. Arsenal 5. Liverpool 6. Real Madrid 7. Man City 8. Bayern 9. AC Milan 10. Spurs 5 Likes 1 Share |

According to a research by CIES Football Observatory, Victor Osimhen has been ranked amongst the most impactful U25 players worldwide - players born or after September 12, 1997. In the technical profile 'target man shooter', the Napoli star was ranked third with a score of 93.3. Only Chelsea striker Kai Havertz (94.3) and CA Mineiro's Matías Zaracho's (93.4) ranked higher than the Nigeria international. Ferran Torres (Barcelona) is in fourth place followed by Darwin Núñez (Liverpool) and Julián Álvarez (Manchester City). Completing the top ten are Tammy Abraham (AS Roma), Matheus Cunha (Atlético Madrid), Dušan Vlahovic (Juventus) and Evanilson de Lima (FC Porto). The Impact Score is an exclusive CIES Football Observatory’s metrics developed to assess players’ sporting achievement and potential. It is calculated by taking into consideration the average match level in which players participated according to the experience capital method, official game minutes played over the last 365 days, as well as pitch performance compared to both teammates, opponents and same profile’s players. The study covers 59 leagues around the world, but primarily in Europe. Since September 11, 2021, Osimhen has participated in 30 matches in the Italian top flight, scoring sixteen goals and registering six assists. |
