Lagos is an overrated dirty slum. If you stay in Lagos or have been to Lagos you'll understand what I'm saying. The place too dirty no be small. It is currently the most dirtiest City in Nigeria right now Lagos needs to build a waste to energy plant 1 Like |

kingyakos:Lagos is dealing with the floods, it's mainly roads that flood, this can be contained with deeper, wider drainages, as well as irrigation channels, and redistribution of water. |

The sand-filling of the Atlantic Ocean at the former Lagos Bar beach to build the Eko Atlantic City without a proper EIA carried out has contributed enormously to this massive flooding. Same with that of Banana island, etc. I knew that this will happened because you can't push the water away from its natural habitat and you don't expect the water to fight back. The effects of this started years ago by pulling down blocks of shops @ the NA Bonny Cantonment mammy market in Vl. The Lagos state government should have developed and implemented a standard drainage master plan in these areas and their catchment areas to mitigate the effects that will come as the result of these several indiscriminate sand-fillings. BTW, I'm not that "Narcissist" supporter cos he's good at name calling and always finding faults in everything. |

The truth is, every single parts of the country is faced with one or 2 challenges. Attempting to castigate Tinubu for the flood in Lagos is senseless and very low. We must not forget that Lagos is a very tiny island that is overcrowded. May be if the gala sellers, and used car parts sellers (all Peter Obi’s supporters) stay in Anambra or return to Anambra, Lagos will have a room to breathe. It is not by force to live in Lagos, if you don’t like Lagos please feel free to return to the East. Have you ever seen Abia state, or Enugu, or Anambra or any parts of the east during raining season? 3 Likes 1 Share |

To Sowore and d OP, In all fairness, Tinubu shouldn't be blamed for this. First, Lagos is way too over populated with a very small landscape. Second, many people living in Lagos are way too dirty, u drink Pepsi, Shekpe, Alomo bitters and throw d bottles on d floor, u also eat Suya rather than trash it properly u throw it into d drainage. Now tell me, why won't we have a dirty Lagos with all d above and so much more. Stop d blame game, let's all be responsible for a cleaner Lagos. |

Don't mind that scallawag, he's an expert in shifting blames Why won't Lagos be flooded when they keep pushing the water from their natural habitat without a proper ElA and a drainage master plan in place so as the mitigate the effect of floods when they know that it is definitely that, that water that they keep pushing away will always stage fight-backs in due seasons. lightskinnigga: 1 Like |

The way people mention about Lagos and the bad state it is right now makes me wonder if they actually put something into consideration.. did we all realize Lagos is one the of the smalles state in Nigeria by land mass but yet the most populated in the country… when the numbers of people in certain place is greater than what the state can handle.. Lagos state have tried in many ways to flush out some people especially this one’s that hindering the growth of the state one way or the other ( the dirty ones) but they always find themself back in the state and if certain measures are taken to flush them out.. you’ll be fine to hear tribalistic judgement.. men it's the fact, i was going to visit badore a couple of days back, ooo boi that was the biggest mistake...... it was as if the flood that came out from the drainage brought out human feces with it... the stench was irritating.... then the flood inside badore that lingered a couple of distance, only to enter the estate and met a bigger flood.... ooo boi i was weak 2 Likes |

Patriotsleague: Calabar has same topography with Lagos and once upon a time Calabar do suffer same flooding but a man called Donald Duke transformed Calabar with good drainage from the little resources of Calabar. I've seen roads in Lagos, both newly constructed and old roads in Lagos without drainage system but you can never find such in Calabar. If Donald Duke was the governor of Lagos State for 8yrs, i bet you Lagos would've been heaven 3 Likes |

alizma:The worst thing about this attitude is that a lot of the reason why Lagos has slums is because of uncontrolled migration from elsewhere, much of it from the SE. No matter what new infrastructure is built in Lagos, it quickly becomes overwhelmed by the mass of indigent newcomers who see it as a Shangri-la where they can improve their personal prospects. If Lagos had China-style "internal passports" and mass deportations to keep out penniless migrants, it would look much more impressive, but the very same people mocking the city now would be the ones moaning the loudest about how the place should be a "no man's land" to which all Nigerians should be free to move. 3 Likes |

lightskinnigga:Your people doing business in Ojo, Alaba International, Ladipo Market, Festac Amuwo-Odofin, Ago Palace Way/Okota, Mushin, Ikeja computer village and other places produce the garbages that block Lagos drainages and cause the flood, tell them to relocate back home with all their dirts and Lagos will enjoy its peace again.
