Rejuvenated Midfield Maestro, Kelechi Nwakali bags his 3rd Ponferradina Match MVP award after again coming tops in a Ponferrada fans poll vote for their last game.

That's back to back Match MVPs for Ponferradina. His 3rd from 5 games.

At this rate, Nwakali could go on and nick Player of the Month much later on. Time will tell.

A division 2 midfilder is more talented than Aribo, (Scotland cup and uefa cup finalist) iwobi and Aribo in your logic because of a screamer??

If by now you have not realized Aribo and Iwobi are basic players then you have not being paying attention. Its important you understand I am not here to discuss clubs, thus I don't rate players on the clubs they play for.

You're doing just the same thing you're accusing others of doing.. Downgrading one player to praise the other..
Aribo and Iwobi have the special skillet they bring to the team in their own way... Iwobi of recent has become a better midfield controller and is currently one of Everton best player if not the best so far this season.. Even in the super eagles,Iwobi has proven time and times again that he is one of our best player ..
Aribo on the other hand isn't really a midfield orchestrator but the kind of player that function well when played close to the opponent's box..He has demonstrated it many times with his goal scoring instinct in the super eagles when played in that role..

Nwakali obviously has his own skills..His club issue is what has stagnated him,but so far this season, he is back on track... The kind of deep lying playmaker the super eagles need...

Bankole of Remo Stars and this Adebayo guy should be called up for the Algeria game..
Uzoho and Okoye have become bench warmers this season...they should be excused... Same goes to Ekong, captain or not..

Will Bankole be a starter in both Uzoho and Okoye's club? If Okoye or Uzoho comes to Remo today, both will start ahead of him. A keeper that was making school boy errors in a CAFcl should be invited ahead of Uzoho and OKOYE? Seriously?

I didn't mention them ( Iwobi and Aribo) in my initial post. All I did was to address the person that introduced a comparison between Nwakali and them. Didn't you see that ??

Honestly, I dont want to give my true honest opinion on Aribo and Iwobi. If I do people will think I hate them. But , these two players add very little quality to SE.

Yes, they’re basic players but a division 2 player isn’t better than them

Did I say Bankole should displace Uzoho and Okoye? I simply said he should be called up since Uzoho and Okoye have become bench warmers at their club.. Because he made. schoolboy error, he shouldn't be called up? Uozho made a schoolboy error that cost us the world cup ticket, likewise Okoye at the AFCON.. They are both not indispensable..
If they continue warming the bench at their clubs, they should be excused from the team... Abi e pass English championship and Cyprus league where Dem dey?

The fact remains that Okoye and Uzoho are not starter in their clubs.Pls is there any school boy errors than Okoye vs Tunisia and Uzoho vs Ghana.

We just need to throw open our goalkeeping Dept for best guy to come in.My man nothing special about Okoye and Uzoho and time for us to get good goalkeeper, enough of patching.

The two cost us afcon and WC qualification with their performances.

Oga Fab,would you have say this when Enyeama came in as rookie with no international experience even as home based player in Africa soil and did well against England in 2002 WC.

Peseiro should search for good keeper and if he believes it's Okoye and Uzoho,no issue but one thing is sure they are very average and not good enough for eagles.

So 20 goal contribution from 25 starts is not good enough?

Is it until he makes it 25 out of 25 starts it becomes good enough?

A coach that is not emotive and is intelligently objective should be sitting at the top of the table and not top when counting from the bottom.

How many goals in the EPL last season just 4 .

How many goals did Vardy scored 15 in the EPL.

Indeed Vardy has scored a minimum of 15 goals each season for the past 7 seasons. There is no comparison between Vardy and KC unless you are just emotive and and biased.

Watch out for Oshodi Alex Ferguson. Aka komen At the end of the season you go hear am dey shout upandan that Sadika scored only 4 goals.

That is a horrendous injury for any player and a very difficult one to recover from. I had an ACL rebuild over 10 years ago and I know how difficult it it be was.

I pray he recovers completely and God give him a speedy recovery.

As far as I'm concerned, we don't have a goalkeeper.... If Peseiro is serious,he should throw that position open... The upcoming friendlies provide the perfect opportunity for that...
The centre defence also need changing.. Ekong has become a bench warmer too... Akpogunma should be recalled...

Yes you are right on centre back but Calvin Bassey is up there now and watching Semi Ajayi so far,i would pick him over Akpogunma though Akpogunma deserved a call up,Zaidu to the left and Aina right side, have not heard much about Ebuehi this season.

On goalkeeper, damn glaring we are having issue and Alloy Agu contributed to this, imagine six good years as goalkeeper trainer,we can't have good keeper, national team was turned to a place to promote a keeper from regional league and it worked well for Okoye but it was obvious he is not talented.Uzoho too from division three though had two la Liga matches but it was damn obvious he is average,a world cup keeper at 21 now in Cyprus league as bench warmer and some believed they are still the best.

Hmm Iwobi 189 EPL appearances for Arsenal and Everton. He broke into Arsenal team from academy and Nwakili failed to do so...Aribo had it so good in Scottish league, yes to some that league is moi moi but forgetting that Calvin Bassey hit it straight from the same league now with Ajax...Aribo already had six appearances in EPL with a goal.

Kelechi Nwakili is good and highly talented player and one of those we thought were the futures but yet to make it as we expected,it happens in football but good for him that he is trying to make it out.

This season so far am seeing him moving up irrespective of his club position in the league.By then we can compare him with Iwobi and Aribo but if Peseiro do Eguavoen stuff again, why not he can pull the strings.

your comment would revolve around them being over pampered, lazy English players who did not merit their opportunities. You would also call them frauds because they did not train in the trenches and had their chances handed to them. Your opinion on them are not strange to the thread.

Since Ikeme had to retire, we have really suffered in the area of goalkeeping ehn.... Peserio needs to do something about that area... w

As for the defence, you're right on Basssy and Ajayi..My own concern is that Ekong shouldn't be starting due to him being the captain seeing as he is now a bench warmer in the championship....

Overall, aside the goalkeeping position, I think our team is solid now... Particularly in midfield we have Ndidi, Iwobi, Aribo, Onyedika, Alhassan and in form Nwakali.. I'd like to see them called up for the Algeria game...

the weakest link in the team now is goalkeeping position

Aside that from defense to striking positions we are well covered

Also we still need quality back up for the cb positions. Ekong isn’t good enough, balogun is aging so another quality centre back with omeruo as cover for ajayi and bassey will be nice

I suggest since we don’t have quality goalkeepers in main stream european leagues the coaching crew should scout for one in the local league

iwobi has done well for super eagles,
He has more goals than most of d previous midfielders before him,
He has changed games for us several times,
What else do u expect of him?

I don't have much to say in defence of aribo but as for iwobi,he has been one of our best midfield performers since his debut .
His many goes can testify to it.
