I need advice now like maddd. ASUU strike is driving me crazyy. UI is my first choice but ASUU strike is delaying things here should I wait or put in any available school here? Jamb score is 351. Or make I just learn work de wait sad
If you are uneasy about the University of ibadan, then apply to Futa(fedeal university of technology akure) they just began their mbbs programme. Ask Eben331 for more info about futa's admission process. Then while you wait, Please learn a very convenient handwork. Something you can still do while you are in school, and make money from it.

You will reap the benefits of your handwork when you are finally admitted.

Good day everyone, I'm a Pharmacy student in a Nigerian University, although I wanted to change to medicine but i was afraid I wouldn't beat the cut-off mark but I later did, I felt sad after this and wrote another jamb this year for medicine , but my school is on strike now, we've not even started lectures , if I gain admission I will be resuming 2024, I'm not sure if this is a good decision.
PS:I haven't told my dad about this , I'm planning to tell him after gaining admission because I know he may not allow me.
I am actually in support of what clinton39 enumarated. He just quench the taste of my opinion which is in pari passu and correlate extremely with what i want to say, so the ball is in your court. choose wisely bro.

Omor, 351? i dough my hat for you. You must be among the top scorer for this years utme. You better change to a state university if you are financially buoyant to avoid stories that touch irrespective of your jamb score 351.

Thank you sir for your input

You must be someone who knows me.
Though I try to make myself anonymous when it comes to my school.
Reason because we just started medicine and most people might not want to pick FUTA because of accreditation but the school is really planning a lot lately.
Well, until they make those planning official, I won't recommend FUTA for anyone.

Yea in UNN strike are only affecting preclinical...
Since the strike unn has inducted 021 class ND 022 class are starting there 4th MB next month

Na this thing dey vex me pass. I never knew clinical students to be affected by ASUU strike. But this one is different. It seems it's only UNN amongst Federal schools that has allowed her clinical students to remain in school (sometimes I see my set in their school wearing scrubs and I neva even write MB cry).At least after the strike is over, the juniors will be able to catch up with their 'speed of light' calendar. This is why UNN has continued to ensure her medical degree duration doesn't exceed 6yrs or with recent times, plus some months. I don't know what the other schools are doing oo and this is going to affect us seriously. For my school Uniben, like this like this, 8 yrs don sure for us. Same UNN class 022' in my school still dey final year. At least they should have allowed them to just graduate as they are almost done. Cos one thing I know about med school is that the progress of your seniors, duration-wise determines the progress of the classes below.
I'm just fed up bayi!

Good evening house. How has been your day? Pls I need sincere answers from members and those who have been contributing to this thread. I’m a native of Ogun state but I live in Ibadan. I’m a medical school aspirant. I scored 275 in this year’s post utme and I choose lautech as my choice of institution.
The problem I have now is that LAUTECH just announced today that they are not going to conduct post UTME this year.Instead, they’ll use SSCE result for this year’s admission screening.
I’ve asked friends and some other LAUTECH students to help me calculate my aggregate score and it’s just 65 points instead of 80+ points for medicine. Pls I need advice on the school that I can choose as my choice of institution that’ll SURELY offer me medicine and surgery. With the below SSCE(NECO) and jamb result. I’ll really appreciate your inputs bosses. Help a boy pls . (pls ignore the typographical errors)
