Infact some of the muslims voted Atiku/obi 2019, but this time arround with the present political situation where the campaign as been turned into religious one, religous sentiments have found it way in Nigeria politics now, those votes are going to APC this time.

Undecided voters in 2019 like me, who voted for Atiku/obi will never ever vote for any of them this time, why? Because of the aggressive way of the obidients followers. I know so many of us here that are on that line or should i say clinging to that excuse.

The south-west voted overwhelming for Atiku/obi 2019, not because of the love for Atiku or Obi but because we felt the pain of the failed First tenure of buhari then.. Even lagos was almost lost by APC even with Tinubu.
I feel my analysis is right here because those states lost by APC 2019 in southwest, was won by same APC governors during the governorship election except Oyo state which was narrowly lost.
Now, coming to 2023, i feels a tribal sentiment will play major role here, APC will win massively in south west. But what if APC lost, they lost Overall in the southwest in 2019 in the presidential election. It still never changes anything. APC STILL WON THE ELECTION. BUHARI WON.

So when you take all this into consideration, analyse it without religious sentiment or hatred for any candidate. IT DOESN'T CHANGES ANYTHING. Infact the antagonism. of the Buhari candidature we witness in 2019, was far far more than the Tinubu candidature upset we are witness now. Because the anger of Buhari's first tenure which was marred by gross incompetency, insecurities upset alot of people and it cut across all regions. Be it yoruba, hausa,igbo, egede, idoma, ebira... Just name it.. People were angry with his first tenure.
And after the election? I think we all know what happened - Buhari won again.

Let me educate you: Buhari could not win before the formation of APC because he wasn't that popular outside the core north. Tinubu came with Southwest votes because of his popularity in the West/South. Coupled with Amaechi's influence in Rivers and by extension SS region. Again, PDP under Jonathan wasn't doing well and with the lies and bloated promises that APC sold to Nigerians, majority of Nigerians decided to cast their votes to them. APC, unfortunately is in much worse state than PDP was in 2015 and a growing number of Nigerians are tired of their failures and unmet promises and won't hesitate to vote them out in 2023!

PO doesn't need to win in NE/NW, all he needs is a decent performance there. FYI, votes in NE/NW will be keenly contested for by Atiku, Kwankwaso and Tinubu. Buhari's factor can't help Tinubu this time, because like you insinuated, a northern Muslim won't leave his own and vote for a southern Muslim.

As for NC states viz Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa etc, with vigorous campaigns, PO stands a great chance in that region. Again, this is not about tribe or religion, this about Nigerians who are being killed needlessly by the day, about University students who do not know when they will graduate, about teeming unemployed youths, about an economy that has become close to hopeless, Naira got to ₦730 to a $US etc.

Really? I've read his so called achievements and I'll say there's nothing spectacular about it. Those are things that needed to be done and he had the funds to do it. Of which any other person could have done it. So what's the fuss?

Tinubu of then and Tinubu now are not the same. The man is old and almost gone. Do you listen to him speak? His speach is incoherent, he can't organize his thought, his health is poor, he is weak. Truth is; he lacks the will power to control a diverse and dynamic country like Nigeria.

Look at the state of the country, look at our debt profile, look at insecurity, look at waste in government and governance in general etc, there's no better person that can redirect this country other than Peter Obi.

Let him not construct rail lines leading to Niger Republic which are of no economic benefit, let him not borrow money for weapons to fight terrorism, let him not fly out every month for medical check up/tourism, let him not permit budget padding etc. All we need right now is to get out of this financial mess we are in right now as a country from unnecessary borrowing.

Well. He is right.. BAT will get much votes in every northern state, same as in the south. Obi won't in most, also he has cancelled out Atikus vote in the SS n SE, even some in SW.. margin of victory for the winner will be little. I see a Runoff coming, unless the winner gets 50% of votes, leaving the other 50% for other candidates. which is likely not possible.
