Women are on set LIVE with their bare bossoms and nipples staring at the camera man in plain sight, x-rated scenes are no longer censored, it's all there for viewers to see from start to finish.

I don't know how much of that appeals to the expectations or desire of viewers from movie producers. Does nudity really sell in movies. Cos I know bollywood (India) does not welcome that idea and they are second best when it comes to movie production in the world.

Why has nudity and pornography been added in Nigerian movies? I know it has been there, but the new dimensions to it as observed can be worrisome.

Nollywood has lost its flavor...they have nothing to show that's why they've resorted to showing sex scenes up and down.

In the late 90s and early 2000s during the era of Video Cassettes my mom then would rent like 2-3 movies per day, we'll watch it in the evening when she gets home. Those where the days of movies like Last burial, Ijele, Isakaba, after the school hours (Sam loco) carshika, last prophet destroyers (that was where I knew Zack Orji)...etc. We would be up watching Nollywood movies till late in the night.

Today, producers lack the creativity to write great story lines, so they replace their incompetence with nudity since they're aware of how immorality has eaten deep into this generation.

A scene from Anikulapo. Some have argued that it was a double body of Bimbo Ademoye but that's doubtful if you zoom it. Again, with technology, anything is possible...afterall movie making is make believe.

*The first Nollywood film I watched without torturing my eyes to endure pathetic displays - I was their live!
*Apart from one of the ladies that refuse to cover up, the nudity wasn't really that absurd - it was flawlessly introduce into the plots!

I m yet to see Anikulapo. But I ll be surprised if Jungle Afolayan someone I thought is still upholding African virtue is displaying nudity in his movie. And Bimbo that claimed she can't do nudity is doing it. It be like say na Kunle's white mentors that told him to do the nude scene.

Sex sells. This is as old as humanity. Sex sells.

Humans are vainer and a slave to their flesh than being modest. any anything that appeals to their vanity, you will sell more. Chains of junk food restaurants are the largest, same with worldly music, clothing, etc. The movie producers are in business for money, not for right and wrong.

So if you want to make money, you give the people what they want, but if you want to be a moral philosopher, then the price you pay is to be content being broke.

Have you noticed that non of Dwayne Johnson's movie have x-rated scenes... his movies are rated very high across the world, check Indian movies too... or movies by Tyler Perry... they are all clean. So I don't believe that sex in movies makes it sell.

Movies will clearly say rated 18, parents will still let their children see it.
Any thing a producer wants to add to their movie let them add, BBN and most music videos are worst than this.

same reason why a 12 year old Nigerian adolescent thinks there is nothing wrong in having a boyfriend at that age and having sex too... movies like that can fly around and these little ones see them and disrupts their morality as nutured by their parents... and that would be a failure on the part of society and not parents.
