Good day

I've been trying to merge some documents for a submission with the new portal but they are about 10 and 13mb respectively. I've tried different compression apps and it crashes the quality such that it isn't visible. Any ideas on how to go about this 2mb issue

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your help, support and well wishes smiley

Please I'd like to ask about the best way to submit my passport. Is it better to go in person, or use UPS/DHL? And for each, what is the procedure like? The instructions on the VFS website are not very clear.

Thank you very much.

So those people working over 100 hours a week have the ability to make their own choices and create their own opportunities?

See, in this world, certain groups of people don't have the ability to choose certain things nor the ability to create certain opportunities. They are vulnerable and at risk of being used and taken advantage of.

The least the Canadian government could do is to protect them but they choose to look the other way and even take part in the exploitative system.

I hope someday you will understand where I'm coming from because you seem to just not get it.

olokings:
In life you make your choices and create your opportunities.

Bottom line is, every one takes responsibility for everyone's actions and the consequence thereof.

We can't cry foul when we claim to have the well-wither to cater for our financial needs all through the study period, then game the system. However, when we arrive there, and reality sets in with the need to work multiple and extra shifts we start crying inhumanty at the system when we are simply enjoying the consequences of our actions.

The Indegenes / Natives as you call it, you cannot go to a mans house and want to occupy the master bedroom now do you? At best you show gratitude for being give the guest room, or else, take a hike and get yosef a hotel where you can relish the luxury of your own spending... get my drift?

The system is balanced in my perception, you get better when you do better.

The #UglyTruth is, this japa waka is not for everybody. If it is not for your and you force yourself and game the system to get in, it will chew you up and spit you out worse than before you left your country. It is everywhere like that.

Did you order GCMS notes from IRCC or CBSA? Apparently, CBSA notes are faster and it includes IRCC's GCMS notes.

CharitoJames:
So the notes I ordered since August 5th finally came yesterday, that is after 2 months. Now, the date on the note says September 14th… so that was when they ordered the notes I requested for since August… Secondly, note had just 14 pages of nothing… Eligibility was saying “review required” as per dem never touch my file.

Now these notes were ordered like 10days before my refusal.. shouldn’t it have the refusal detail?
It had my mails up until August 15.

The final decision is blank…

I don’t understand, this is October so it should have the refusal details at least or have some details about my application up until September… How come eligibility that started since May 4 didn’t reflect?

Or is my file still being worked on?

And do i order another one?

I even sent them a mail asking if it’s complete because i know even after biometrics, notes should be upto 36+ pages… so how can they present me with 14pages after 6 months?

What to do?

@7COLOURS, any news about yours?

Mine took 2 months and can’t possibly be CBSA. A lot is wrong. If it had details of the refusal, I won’t be worried even if it was 2 pages

We as humans have / had a choice in every situation we find ourselves.

That situation or choice is a congruence of actions and decisions taking over time. It is not just a one of trade off that happen on an immediate case. When we say we create opportunities, it starts from that simple decision to make friends with that yoopiee guy/girl, that decision to skip classes, that decision to go clubbing during undergrad and skip lectures which ends up graduating with a 3rd Class, or even pass. Even something as little as what and where you choose to eat, all forms a cascading dominoe effect on where you find yourself down the line and the opportunities that abound.

We just need to acknowledge that we are responsible for where we are. There is no body that is riddled with bad luck, we just decided to follow down a path and refuse to pivot when the end seems unclear.

Vulnerability? they put themselves there. Somebody said if you are coming to my house, bring your own food, yet you go visiting without carrying your own food and you do not expect that you will stay hungry? See the world doesnt work the way it work in our heads... reality checks us at every corner.

The Canadian government do not owe international students any special rights, infact, alliances is to the natives first and foremost at anytime. We live in a capitalist society, accept that and do everything to position yourself for success and well-being.

I may sound so because i am a realist at heart. I dont believe in luck, or grace, or hoping for the best. I believe in cause and effect, action and consequence ergo the need to understand our choices and make the right one. At the end of the day, we are all humans, and have affinity to protect our own. There is no way a mother in an emergency situation will leave her child and save the neighbour's, it doesnt even happen in the movies (maybe indian move sha...lol).

Truth is the risk of exploitation exists in all contexts and aspects of society, if you expose yourself to it, you will definitely suffer the short & long term consequences.

BePositive, i sincerely do get your points and positions, perhaps, our folks just needs to hear the #UglyTruth at the early stage where they are nursing this japa dream. Whether they are going to Canada, US, UK, UAE, or Europe. You can not just enter a land empty handed and expect tax payers to nurse and take care of you on a plater. You either pay through labour, or sleep in the streets, if they let you.

Excuse, my bluntness.

I'm not asking Canadian taxpayers to pay for international students, no. I'm just saying that the Canadian government should play fair and be considerate. BTW, international students are expected to pay income taxes just as locals.

Some people have more choices and opportunities than others though. We're not born with equal opportunities. For example, a boy born to a rich family will have a lot more opportunities than a boy born to a poor family. This also applies to country of birth, parents' education, etc. It all affects the choices and the opportunities we get. It also makes some vulnerable.

GCMS notes are usually issued on the date they're requested. Since you ordered them 2 months ago, they were probably issued before the refusal.

Maybe try ordering CBSA notes. Hopefully, you'll get them faster.

Call it whatever you want but as long as they are being paid that is all that matters. Besides, Justin did say in his speech that the additional hours are to assist employers especially as we are approaching the holiday season in the labour shortage so yeah basically he did admit that they are 'exploiting' international student but the way I see it is a win-win situation. You are the only one that I have seen who isn't happy but that's fine I guess it is the lack of experience you aren't in Canada and haven't experienced the hardship so........ No hard feelings though I also don't have any experience I get my facts from others.
Secondly, bro or sis anyone you are you are making demands like you have a right to. Among the three top countries to school in Canada is the cheapest, UK and America are soooooo expensive and I am saying this from experience imagine with how low their fees are their schools are still ranked among the top best in the world. You are making demands like you have a right to and I will be honest with you it is fu**ing annoying Canada isn't begging anyone there is UK and Germany. No one will force you to work anywhere and most campus have jobs for students who are willing to work if you can't find one off campus you will surely find one on campus. Look the world doesn't revolve around you bro/sis in this situation you are the begger. Begger don't get to be choosers you take what you can get or just stay in your country. Thank you and God bless.

And my bit*chy response hahahahaha remind me where I heard that one before oh right I remember I heard the same about you. You call it a bit*chy response, I call mine the 'bitter truth'.
