This is misleading.

You only need to show proof of fund for the first year of study (not times 4)

And proof that source of fund will be consistent and available to cater for the other years

Thank you so much for this input I was waiting for someone to say this before I talk so they don't bite my ynash I have friends who have been approved with just 15m in their accounts for an undergraduate course. It is only on this group that I see we have to show four years. No! You just have to show a solid proof of income and a believable sponsor whether it is third party or your parents.

That is what IRCC says, but realities in recent times prove otherwise, particularly as it relates to Nigerians.
That is actually not true those that get that statement 'we are refusing you on the basis that your personal assests and finances are not sufficient blah blah......' when they order GCMS notes there is another reason there whether based on proof of income or third party sponsorship.
I did a research on this reason back when I was applying and in all the notes I got to observe I never saw when it was stated that the applicant doesn't have enough funds for the four/total years of study not everyone can afford to have 50m lying around in their accounts but their total net worth can account to about 20m.
So in summary, using an account with a huge amount is fine but it doesn't guarranty approval the best thing to order GCMS and find out why exactly whether it is third party sponsorship or lack of proof of income or even lack of secondary funds.
I am open to other suggestions let me know what your think this is just from my point of view and the agent I used.

A while back I was reading an article about this and the writer was saying that we should be careful these visa officers are not fools some of them have been in the business for more than we can expect and they are already used to these small tricks people play just to leave the country. Think of it as criminals evaluating criminals. When this happens you know what to expect. sometimes it takes more than just a few bank accounts with huge sums of money and it all comes down to one question. Why? Why is he/she sponsoring you now when they have not in the years of knowing you? Why are they willing to pay millions of naira ontop your own matter? Your SOP should do justice to these questions.
Think of it as you in a court fighting to prove your innocence so therefore you should say anything sayable to prove your point.
Show pictures if you have some
Instead of letters get affidavit instead.
Let them pay your fees from their accounts to show commitment.
When you have packaged your application try to look at it from a third person's view ask yourself if you have provided a solid source of income or if you have shown solid commitment.

Hi again,
How long does it take to get a police certificate, and how much does one cost?

What do you need it for? Are you a PR applicant?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Frankielilbaby(f): 5:28pm On Oct 10, 2022
Also, remember the visa officers are different people with different opinions anyways one may be strict and one may be lenient so if officer A approved a visa it doesn't mean officer B would have approved it if he was the evaluating it I may be wrong though. Maybe a board of people also decides but there are hundreds of applications submitted each new day so this is just my assumption.

At the bold, no VO will write that. Instead they'll say "I am not satisfied that the PA has sufficient funds to support themselves (tuition, living expenses, transportation, etc.), given the proposed length of stay, without working in CDA."

Though I was going for a year's program, that was one of the comments of the visa officer on my GCMS notes after my second refusal. After paying full tuition, and opening a GIC. If a VO can make such comments, why can't they do the same to someone being sponsored for a 4 year course?

Oh okay that is a first but still I beg to differ why would someone be approved with 15m in their account for a four year course. I think it can also be brought down to the question of how many years is your program for you said yours was for a year program, I think that just about summarizes everything don't you think?

Hi,
It makes sense based on the explanations i've seen elsewhere online. It's only on here that I saw that the proof of funds has to include funds for the entire duration of the course.

No complete the application https://apply.nscc.ca/psc/APPLY/EMPLOYEE/SA/c/NSCC_MODS.NS_OLA_LOGIN1.GBLPAGE=NS_OLA_LOGIN1 here, pay your application fee at the end and submit.

They should contact you on the next steps once the process above is successful.

How long does it take for the school to acknowledge and process transcript sent to them?

NSCC requires official transcript from your school directory send to them not student nor scanned copy.

If your school in session, request for official transcript to be sent directly to NSCC. Also your other credentials

I got that from them before the can open file for me. You can mail them to make enquiries

Have you gotten your admission with them? And how long did it take before they acknowledge your documents sent to them?

I need advice please. I have a first degree in Economics (2006). I have an MBA (2022). I also have 14 years experience in Sales and business development. Now I want to apply to a Canadian university to study for Master in Business Economics. Does it make sense to include my MBA qualification when applying ?

I am very new here please!

Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

That is good but you should try to criticize it get third party opinion too if possible don't submit until you are sure it is 99.9% perfect at least to you. I made the mistake of not joining this thread before submitting my application now my 99.9% application seems like a 95% to me but What God cannot do........ Complete it if you believe

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 6:13pm On Oct 10, 2022
you are not considering other critical factors such as source of funds being stable enough to continually provide income to the applicant over the duration of their study. if it is someone whose source of income will be significantly impact due to his absence from duty post during study, you think it will be illogical to ask for providing PoF for the duration of the study. So after paying you 1st year tuition, and consuming your cost of living for year 1. what happens to your welfare if you are unable to secure a well paying employment, or things turn around for your income / sponsor since they only showed 1 year PoF.

Let us just reason this thing and look at it from a third party point of view without sentiments. These VOs are plain objective and logical beings... some may be linient and consider the overall weight of your eligibility points, that doesnt invalidate the individual requirements and their criticality when packaging your application. Lets be direct with our consideration too.

Hello SailingSeafarer

I will advise you go for a Masters program if you can, moreover there are more opportunities in Ontario compared to Atlantic Povinces....

Peace
SailingSeafarer:
Good morning guys.

Please is there anyone here who is interested in applying for or currently studying supply chain management and logistics in Canada?

I am considering studying supply chain management.
The two schools I have in mind are university of Windsor, Ontario (because they offer a masters program in that field and I prefer masters degree to a PGD)
The second school is NBCC (New Brunswick community college), they offer PGD instead of masters but then PR is easier in Atlantic provinces compared to places like Ontario.

Eastern college (NB) is also another option.

I’m a bit indecisive on this . Could anyone please help with ideas or opinions
Thanks

I didn't bother to apply there again. I couldnt go thru the stress of requesting for official transcript from university and Waec then. NSCC wasn't the only school on my list.

No other school asked for official documents for processing. They ask for it before resumption which I can request for when it is that time

Hello Hessian

Even though this is tricky, you can include your MBA qualification when applying for your Visa, you will just have it at the back of your mind that you have an assignment of convincing the Visa officer why you are going for another Masters degree when you just got one this year. I have personally seen applicants getting Visa with a Master degree LOA despite having a previous Master degree...

Going for another Master degree isn't a problem, the problem is for you to really convince the Visa officer why you wanna go for another Master degree, if you are able to cross that hurdle and also other factors as regards ur visa application are in place, then your application will be approved.

Peace
