Frankielilbaby:

That is actually not true those that get that statement 'we are refusing you on the basis that your personal assests and finances are not sufficient blah blah......' when they order GCMS notes there is another reason there whether based on proof of income or third party sponsorship.
I did a research on this reason back when I was applying and in all the notes I got to observe I never saw when it was stated that the applicant doesn't have enough funds for the four/total years of study not everyone can afford to have 50m lying around in their accounts but their total net worth can account to about 20m.
So in summary, using an account with a huge amount is fine but it doesn't guarranty approval the best thing to order GCMS and find out why exactly whether it is third party sponsorship or lack of proof of income or even lack of secondary funds.
I am open to other suggestions let me know what your think this is just from my point of view and the agent I used.
To the bolded VO can still refuse the application if the officer is not satisfied that funds would be available for the whole course that means the total duration of the program and can be stated on GCMS.. though they won't mention duration of the program _where the income is not satisfactory ...not necessarily mean applicant should have all total funds in bank account ,see gcms found at website.

Hello Aduragbeni

Wait for 100 days for what? That is too long, I haven't seen GCMS notes take that long.

The stipulated time for GCMS notes is 30days, but we have seen some taking 40 - 50 days to be ready.. Max 60 days but not 100 days.. Please be guided..

Peace

Good evening everyone, my application was refused 2 weeks ago based on financial situation and assets, conviction that I will leave after my studies.
I have decided to reapply and I want to order my gcms notes I saw gcms writers/getgcms.
Please which one is faster or better, i have afraid of waiting for 100 days.

I’m not an agent and really, no one really knows how these people operate. However, here is what I think:

I don’t think you should include it. Another way to look at it is to think through all the online profiles and interactions you’ve had. Have you ever declared your MBA publicly online? If not, then consider to declaring it in your application.

Ordinarily, an academic masters, which is want you’re going for, is different from an MBA, but like someone rightly said, it all depends on the VO. You don’t want to leave anything to chance and try to keep it simple. The more complicated your case, the more difficult it is for a VO to understand, the more time it takes and the higher the denial chances.

For the proof of funds @frankielilbaby is correct as far as I know. Most of these guys go on student loans to finance their college education and they know it’s tough. All you have to do is show PoF for the first year tuition and living expenses. No stress.

And sometimes, all these financial reasons for denial are generic and denials are often a result of a plethora of issues. Best bet is to put forward a very strong and properly indexed SOP to address the concerns a lot of people have highlighted here.

Hessian:
I need advice please. I have a first degree in Economics (2006). I have an MBA (2022). I also have 14 years experience in Sales and business development. Now I want to apply to a Canadian university to study for Master in Business Economics. Does it make sense to include my MBA qualification when applying ?

I am very new here please!

Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

Hello Bobomaigida

The bolded is not totally correct, an applicant is required to show funds for a year with the assurance that there is a stable income that will cover up the remaining years without working in Canada. And the applicant must convince the Visa Officer that the funds will be available..

Peace
Bobomaigida:

Someone has given you a breakdown before, it is not only about the tuition, since you are going for a four year course, you are ideally supposed to show the

Tuition = 18,000 * 4 = 72,000
Living expense = 10,000 * 4 = 40,000
Miscellaneous = 3000* 4 = 12,000
Total = 124,000 at the official IRCC rate as of Friday of 0.00317780 = N39,020,706 This amount is the mininum your sponsor should have in addition to excess that he can use for his expenses in Nigeria. So, if your uncle has N50m then on paper you are good to go.

Hello birch

As we all know Police certificate isn't a compulsory document for study permit application, especially if you are returning Visa applicant..

But if you are a 1st time applicant, then you can do it if you like. I have had and seen many applicants getting their study visa without submitting Police Certificate..

Peace

Hi again,
How long does it take to get a police certificate, and how much does one cost?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by makano: 6:57pm On Oct 10, 2022
Your assumption is on point.. Sometimes Visa approval depends on the kinda Visa Officer that attends to an application..

Early this year I had a case of an applicant who got refused and contacted me, after reviewing the whole of her application, I told her this application of hers can actually get her a study permit Visa, she was suggesting Judicial Review (JR) but I told her no need of JR cos its is expensive and time consuming..

I just adjusted some things in her SOP and drafted her LOE, and we re-applied with the same documents (no addition, no subtraction) she submitted in her refused application.. And she got her Visa in 2 months time...

We ordered for her GCMS notes, despite getting approved cos I wanted to check something and I discovered her re-application was handled by a different Visa officer..

That is why atimes I do tell applicants, one prayer you all should be praying is that "Let my application get to the hands of the right Visa Officer, the Visa officer that will favour my application".

Peace
Frankielilbaby:
Also, remember the visa officers are different people with different opinions anyways one may be strict and one may be lenient so if officer A approved a visa it doesn't mean officer B would have approved it if he was the evaluating it I may be wrong though. Maybe a board of people also decides but there are hundreds of applications submitted each new day so this is just my assumption.

Thank you so much for this input I was waiting for someone to say this before I talk so they don't bite my ynash I have friends who have been approved with just 15m in their accounts for an undergraduate course. It is only on this group that I see we have to show four years. No! You just have to show a solid proof of income and a believable sponsor whether it is third party or your parents.

Lol, no one is biting anyone o, the essence of the thread is to share ideas and the best idea adopted. The breakdown I gave was was quoted in an ideal situation which is why I used "ideally" and at the end I said on paper he is good to go, cos "out of paper" the "VO fit don dey vex or fit no review documents well" cos we have seen people here refused with good balances and all. I believe as a Nigerian showing just one-year funds counts against us cos of bias, I could be wrong but I have seen many refusals of Nigerian applicants to hold that thought.

Anyway, with the robust contributions made, I am sure Naskid will be in a better position to decide how to go about his application.

When I sent message to them, they said ATIP is the one delaying and it will take 30-300 days

Hello awele

You can apply for a spousal permit for ur spouse and visiting/study permit (depending on their age) for your kids, immediately you get to Canada, you don't need to wait till when you apply for PGWP before you bring them over..

You can even apply for them after getting your PPR while still in Nigeria, so you all can go together if their application is approved....

Peace

Judicial Review.

You don't wanna do JR though, except you have millions of naira to part away with and also be ready to wait for close to a year to get the final decision which may not end in your favour depending on how good your lawyer is..

Just re-apply to safe yourself unnecessary stress and Money..
