It says a lot about you if you consider the one who chose to take advice from mad man as the best to lead a country considered to have some of the most intelligent people in the world.

If I were to be Peter Obi or his supporters, there's no need getting into unnecessary argument with Tinubu and his supporters who have mastered the art of propaganda.

Instead, I will just have them gather enough videos of Tinubu openly campaigning for Buhari, proposing things that were never achievable for the past 7 and half years of Buhari rule ; Tinubu putting himself on the line and vouching for the dullard we call GCFR now..... I won't stop there but have posts of Tinubu eulogising Buhari for being the unifier in the past 7 and half years ( which obviously shows he agrees with most of his actions and Inactions)

I will run these videos on mainstream media which Almost everybody have access to ( the Northerners will listen to the Hausa version on BBC Hausa service while those who can afford cable TV will see it on their DSTV and even on terrestrial TV)..... We will amplify These things and then let the people make decisions in their good conscience.

Getting enmeshed is Twitter fights and throwback posts makes no sense especially when it's obvious u can't convince people who already made up their mind on the candidate they will vote for, but rather focus on the many undecided eligible voters who are not really present on social media where the fights take place.

You made soo much sense in this post and I agree with the sentiment although I think the very last line is a faulty premise.

It's fair to say that internet penetration especially in the south is up to 75 percent.
Internet is not only nairaland and Twitter. A lot of people use Facebook, opera news and especially Whatsapp.

These are mediums for smaller phones.
Our internet growth in the last 10 years has been sporadic. Anybody underestimating the power of social media in today's age is really getting it wrong.

Blueraydick, let me ask you this, off the tip of your head, how many of your relatives under 60 years don't have access to internet? Of all my relatives both paternal and maternal, I can only think of one. The one who doesn't speak English in the village. Just the one, but the person is very adept at local politics. Very aware of governance and actions of government officials.

So I ask again, how many friends and relatives close to you don't have access to internet?
Traditional media houses like TV stations, radio stations and newspaper even source their news now primarily from social media. So you can't underrate the power of social media but yes I agree with the sentiment here that we should argue less with BATstards, seeing that they've sold their consciences.

I understand this part.. But look at this forum... Look at this place...

Does it look like where you'd waste your time trying to convince someone?

The best we do here is stop propaganda before it becomes truth.. That's all.

But that's just me though grin

that figure they quoted looks like a fable.

MMIA is the only international airport in enitre south west. Some south western states don't even have airports at all and majority of travellers from south west use MMIA.

How can occupants of lekki axis now take 50-70%? Just doesn't sound right

the domestic terminal will continue - but the international wing - i think we will all be happy to see that unprofessionally managed mess go.
the only issue is that there will now be transfer of traffic wahala to those who do not live in lekki axis

I don't even have issues with tinubu but the fact that he stood behind that mannequin and allowed him to use 8 years of total failure only for him to come out too shouting emi lokan
If this man really mean well for us there's nothing stopping him from competing against that dullard when he finished the first 4 years after all he did it for Ambode, but he still stayed behind the mannequin dishing out more promises

I laugh in Chinese.

Like people don't already know that tinubu campaigned for buhari.

He said it like it's some of sort of secret that tinubu campaigned for the presidential candidate in the party he was part of it's founding members.

I guess tinubu should have campaigned for Jonathan in 2015 and atiku in 2019. grin

I guess they should also gather all the materials of tinubu campaigning for ribadu or atiku, or atiku campaigning for buhari as some sort of joker to sway people from what they already know.

Politics isn't just for some people. cheesy

.

I made that post as a Lagosian who has spent all his life in Lagos and has most of relatives either in Lagos, other parts of the southwest or outside the country. I also made that post as someone who has been to the north and has seen the level of illiteracy and how just the man with 4 wives and at least 15 children can pledge the vote of him and his entire family to a candidate simply because his religious leader or district head tells him to do so.

Yes I have family members who are under 60 and have access to the Internet, but also do not have to vote for anybody because I ask them.to do so. While some Northerners have access to social media and will vote on their own personal conviction ; please don't be deceived there are several Northerners who will vote solely on the opinion of others ( like their religious leader, their district head or even their principal who feeds them once in a while)

I'm not underrating the power of social media, but I'm being real here. If u have a conversation with a typical northerner ( especially those from the northwest), u will get a glimpse into their thought process.....

I'm not trying to dampen Ur spirit or say what u are doing here is right or wrong, but then some of these tribal slurs and diatribe are really unnecessary. They are better ignored.

It's all about personal interests and nothing more. The way his presidency will use propaganda will even be worse than we've seen in this Buhari's tenure.

yes.
But I hope they will plan it properly and not just cite the airport for the sake of it just like most infrastructure in Nigeria without proper future plan.

The SmARt one and the Tribalistic one. grin

Clown to clown convos.

Anyways Tinuke can stand or sit with anyone he wants.
He just will not win. That's facts on ground grin.

It's so much fun watching the politically revered Tinuke demystified in our eyes.

The election that was supposed to be over before it started has turned upside down.

OH I remember when Tinuke announced he was going to run for president.. APC fangirls were creaming already in their pants while shouting victory grin grin.

Now this same Tinuke has shown that outside Lagos (because of total control) he is nothing grin.

February ain't far.. By the time electorates are done with Tinuke ehn grin grin grin.. Even Lagos might not be enough to hide the shame grin

What were the options available to him?

I think you can understand where Donjazet is coming from.

If you've been here for a long time, some of the older and "smarter" guys have basically disappointed him with their utterances and stance..

It's one thing to support and defend your tribe and tribesmen and another to be what you condemn.

Whatever insult someone like Raumdeuter (see how I don't hesitate to type it's name) gets from Donjazet is well and truly justified grin grin.

For me.. I enjoy the insults and what not... I've been here long enough to observe the fights and I know that alot of these guys are all talk.. Na only person like Segedinho I go cut cap for because that way of life wey e live especially for Edo State nor be beans.

I don't think Donjazet has insulted an entire tribe before. But feel free to point that out to me so I can call him a tribalist too grin.

What stopped him from contesting against Buhari in 2019 as a President? Why did he opt to deputize for Atiku?

If Obi didn't join this race, Tinuke would have so lost to Atiku... Because he would have packed votes from North and South.

Obi came and has successfully stolen votes from both their stronghold. While still getting new voters too grin.

Tinuke should be thanking Obi sef for leveling the playing field for everyone.

Question is, do you see Tinubu as someone with the political weight to have pulled something like this off?

The primaries was going to go against him as the cabal had other ideas but guess what, he pulled through...We saw how the Northern Governors led the protest when Adamu announced that Lawal was the consensus candidate...

In the primaries, we saw those who were speculated to be against him step down for him...I wonder why you think a man with so much clout would've struggled to build another party if things didn't go his way...I am dead sure he would have had a loyalists decamp with him...The events in the build up to the APC primaries validates my position...

Very very different. The entire structure of APC in lagos state is in Tinubus hands. He can even form another party today and the party will win elections.

That is not so at the national level. If he tried it, he would have failed.
