We are borrowing less and less. We cannot stop borrowing. We cannot beg IMF like you're doing.

These are the measures
1) We are cutting 3 billion dollars from current budget
2) We will foat local dollar denominated loan
3) We will sell six SOES through public listing or and IPO.

We then avoid IMF straitjacket - that is about to ensare Ghana into a 5-10 yr embrace - with a raft of chemo and radiotherapy

We are already in Ghana. Let see.

Good you said it yourself “roots “ - half the tea we drink are for medicinal purposes (herbs) otherwise you are on your own. We’d opt in for hot chocolate any day over your worthless tea. The weather is already hot here,no need to add to buy drink hot leave.

And yes $1.6bn for tea where of of it it taken as herb is not something monumental. You would loose your shirt if you step into this region.

Put it straight, you can’t hack. No one is interested in it.

To make even matters a lot worse they have started blaming Ghana for stealing their oil.

What this mean they don't even have oil

Yes we drink Lipton but in comparison to hot choco, you are wasting your time. The gap is freaking wide. I bet we take more herbal tea than Lipton. Plus we are drink tea from Europe whose leave was sourced from Kenya. You are not getting profit off the full value chain, they are.

-The Mombasa Tea Auction is considered one the world’s largest black tea auctions for export. Each week, teas worth over $20 million are traded from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, Malawi, Madagascar, Mozambique and Ethiopia

The best tea is Rwanda and Kenya - handpicked high quality - the rest including what you buy - is blended dust. When we eventually get you the real tea - you'll love it smiley

If we build our value chain - to China level - where some teas are sold for even 1,000 dollars for few grams - we can lift a million people out of poverty.

Oil will not give you that depth of value chain.

We are soon hitting 1billion dollars in textile & apparel alone.

Kenya is a large beneficiary of the US duty free trade program AGOA, currently we export over $500m under this trade agreement.

West Africa Tea Market Size, Share & Growthhttps://www.alliedmarketresearch.com › west-africa-tea-...
The West Africa tea market size was valued at $1.6 billion in 2019, and is projected to reach $2.6 billion by 2027, registering a CAGR of 8.5% from 2021.

I checked few days ago - and I see Nigeria imports lots of tea - from Sudan, egypt and name it.

All those countries buy Kenya bulk tea - pack it - and send it to West Africa - making more money than us.

With Ruto on board - we want to double farmers earning - by going directly to suc markets.

They not getting tea from kenya

By the way back to the avocado export in dollar terms?
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:41pm On Oct 11, 2022
With AFCTA - they will start getting proper tea from Kenya.
150M dollars - growing very fast - China has allowed Kenya avacados.
Avacado market is 15B dollars worth.
Kenya will soon overtake likes of Mexico smiley
We consume a lot of avacados internally - but now it's big business - I just planted 10 acres.

Youve been begging IMF since last year and you'll be begging them for the next 5 years because without them, you can't run your country .. they are busy paying workers salary on your behalf.

Ghana is okay without IMF but we can't say same for Kenya, there already a hiring freeze in your country, you've been pushed to remove subsides what's next, reduction in your spending for the next 5 years and a freeze on spending for 5 years...

Kenyans will end up poorer

Cereals is for fools like you, TZ and Nigeria
Kenya is going for high value crops - fruits, nuts, vegies.
We will happily import rice, maize, wheat. Plant them.
In fact we are starting GMO growing of those useless cereals.
Our focus is on high value crops like Avacados - with potential to grow export to more than 10B dollars (more than your GOLD)
