Segedinho: You have to immerse yourself in the travel section. There's nothing you won't find there. However, the usual practice is for the wife to apply for masters and the husband as a dependant. If you find your way around POF, you should budget 6-10m. Close to 6 if you're paying part tuition and 10 if you're paying all at once. 1 Like |

Segedinho: Bros you get 4.31 for Pet Engr? Thats some serious potential you sat on for long Anyway for Japa attack it 2 pronged, Wife apply to schools you sef apply whoever gets it first. UK, Australia also try Canada PR but you need to write IELTS and score very high You fit also try Yankee student visa though interview na where you need all the luck UK is more straight forward if you have the tuition. Getting admission no hard but to get CAS wey you go carry to embassy you need to pay either part or full tuition. which can be 6k Pounds or 13K Pounds The earliest admission you can target will be summer or Fall 2023. If you really wan japa, make up your mind quick and start working towards it, UK might start to clamp down on Nigerians bringing dependents. Also process of getting CAS is getting harder |

Segedinho: Try Canada PR. Your work experience should transfer if you have been practicing in the field but be prepared to wait for at least 1 year 6 months. I know a couple without kids though who were practicing lawyers in Nigeria, immigrated to Canada and are now practicing in Canada. I should add they took some bar type exams and other exams when they got to Canada. |

Segedinho:The fact that you, Segedinho, is now talking about JAPA, further proves tbat we all know what we’re doing. There’s no way. I repeat, you can’t be well politically grounded in Nigeria and think this country is irredeemable. Never!!! If this country isn’t paying you, JAPA!! If you don’t have the cash!! Hope! Segedinho: Most of my immediate family (cousins and siblings ) are out of the country in different countries (U.S, U.K, Canada, Aus) and i think the most straight forward route is Canada. Unfortunately i can't give much personal advice cos my route as a doctor is quite different from how most other people will go about it but for those in engineering, finance, IT that Canadian route has been a sure banker for people that i know. Just don't fall into the hands of unscrupulous agents. 1 Like 1 Share |

donstan18:1st and foremost. japa weda d country is paying you or not...just leave Africa if d means and "sure way" is available.. if you aint sure n u can't provide d means...baba look for something else. Japa on d 2nd hand isn't a do or die affair that you will want to manoeuvre a deadly route for.. Every comment here was superb as i have told my wife that u will need up to 10m to japa n still be uncomfortable even with finance....she taught i was just blabbibg... Honestly, i can't comfortably afford that amount without selling most of my assets/belongings wch is a huge risk. If i was still single .that would v been another ball game...... You see, i fall in d category of "want to" but "can't" due to some restraint....likewise majority of Nigerians... I have brothers who comes n go at wills but putting down stories to them as a man isn't feasible or probably "not man enough" cos i am relatively In all, baba...we are here,we should just be happy and hope. 2 Likes |

Segedinho:With that your GPA you should really try for fully funded MScs in the US...even if it's those smaller schools, I believe you'd get something, take GRE too, this would have been a good time to do it, if you can get everything done between now and November/December, would have been great...but fit not easy sha, plan next year, you suppose get one school wey go wan fund your MS, and that will make getting the visa easier. 1 Like |

donstan18:I think Tinubu did some accounting jobs for some drug barons without (he might know but feigns ignorance) knowing the source of the money and got paid for it...When the authorities saw how much he had in his account compared to his earnings, it raised suspicion... I think the authorities accepted that Tinubu may not have been in the know on the source of the money and Tinubu on his part choose to let go of some money in order to move ahead...This is what it seems like else there's no way the authorities will let a black man off the hook for any drug related offense... 4 Likes 1 Share |
