Automatically you conclude he is supporting Peter Obi. What if he is a PDP supporter?

Awesome picture. That's in the late 1990s.

Teni's father who hailed from Ekiti State was a fearless man who was a Nigerian Civil War veteran. He was an army officer in the 3rd Marine
Commando, and he retired as a
Brigadier-General in the Nigerian
Army.

I still remember the day he was shot dead in early 1995 by gunmen in the Ire-Akari Estate area of Isolo, Lagos State where his massive mansion and his group of schools, Apata Memorial were situated.

Teni's dad had a habit of arming himself with his guns and then taking on armed robbers who occassionally terrorised Ire Akari Estate, but they finally shot him and the news of his death spread like wildfire because he was a popular millionaire and school owner.

Spot On
That day the whole of Godwin Omonua street became a ghost street... That Man Apata disturb armed robbers to point that they have to team up to eliminate him.

Apata... I remember him dashing me new N10 for just going to school early...

Rest in Peace Sir

Listen carefully son, I’m not gonna trade insults with you but give you a free history lecture - the only governor that performed based on credible evidence after Pa Jakande and before Tinubu was Gbolahan Mudashiru. The rest ( Raji Rasaki, Mike Aigbe, Otedola and Marwa) were all mediocre. Lagos was in a complete mess due to their maladministration coupled with relocation of the capital to Abuja

Need not forget those days at red sand, if you were passing through that road along apata memorial which was on same pedestal with st Monica and Gideon international schools and the national anthem is being recited, you dare not move as a student. You have to stand at attention till the anthem is done being recited Apata cherised complete obedience. Keep resting the terror of terrors, you were indeed a great man!

I never see PDP supporters that's foolish. They don't insult anyone who is supporting another candidate. PDP believe that everyone have right to vote who so ever you wish.

As much as I like Teni, I felt bad with the kind of attitude she showed when she received award from President Buhari.

Her father retired as a Sergeant not Brigadier as falsely reported. However, he was smart to have established a successful school immediately after his retirement.

I do not recall talking about Tinubu or saying that Tinubu has a legacy if you do not have anything sensible to say then get lost. Not everyone here is interested in that nonsense

What malaria impact ? Do you have any facts or figures? If you do not shut up.
I am from Lagos State are you?

Why do you guys get so exercised about Lagos telling us our history go and focus on your states and stop talking ignorantly

Shut your trap and learn bcus it's obvious that you don't know anything at all.
Can you see how you just disgraced and shamed yourself undecided
You asked me what his achievement was and I told you, instead of you to do your check and disprove of what I said you just went on ranting so incoherently,is that how a matured person behaves.
The fact that you have zero clue on the Impact of Marwa on tackling Malaria and his free Malaria treatment for all program in Lagos is clear enough for me to know that I am more Lagosian than you are.
Go and ask people who were under Marwa's governance they will tell you He was part and parcel of the development of Lagos State We are enjoying today.
Are you part of those who hold the opinion that Tinubu developed Lagos was the simple question I asked you, simple Yes or No,you just went on blabbing like an amateurish dull child throwing wimps.

@Pipapi1,

I'm aware that in a recent
Instagram post last week (that 'Teni made to thank the President and Nigeria for the national award), she still refered to her father as
Brigadier-General Simeon
Olaosebikan Apata.

Back in the early 1990s, I heard that false rumor too that Simeon Apata retired as an army Sergeant. Lol.

P.S. Corrigendum
Teni and Niniola's father Brigadier-General Simeon Olaosebikan Apata lost his life via gunshots on
January 8, 1995, and NOT in 1994 (early-1990s that I first indicated in my original post on page one).

The error came from the fact that 1994 and January 8, 1995 are very close and I was typing offhand, while recalling the events of that day which left Lagos folks in shock.

Nicely put.

You forgot to mention Brigadier-General Mobolaji Johnson who was the first military Governor of Lagos State from 1967 to 1975. His time witnessed several iconic projects such as the commencement of the
outer Marina reclamation, and the construction of the 3rd Mainland Bridge, which the FG later completed. It was originally a Lagos State project as affirmed by Mobolaji Johnson in the "Lagos at 50" interview he granted in 2017.

Second, over 90% of the total landmass of Lagos State of today was located in the Western Region as of May 27, 1967.

Ibeju-Lekki and the entire Lekki Peninsula, Epe, Ikorodu, Ikeja, Isolo, Ilupeju, Mushin, Oshodi, Iganmu, Agege, Amuwo Odofin, Ojo, Badagry, etc, were all under the dynamic Action Group party government led
by Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo,GCFR, SAN.

Several iconic industrial estates were built in the 1950s by Awolowo, (the then Premier of the Western Region), in major areas such as the Ikeja, Iganmu and Ilupeju industrial estates which served as the
industrial and export hubs of the defunct Western Region via the Apapa Port, hence Awolowo and his fantastic economic team DEVELOPED the towns and lands that eventually became part of Lagos State on
May 27, 1967 as part of the General Yakubu Gowon government's creation of 12 new States for the indigenes (after due consultations with traditional rulers and the political elite).

All the best.
