FESTAC 77, the FG used 400million dollars to build festac today that same amount is over 1.5 biilion dollars and the money was from crude oil from the south-south, that is just one of the examples, same with 3rd mainland bridge, airport, stadium and so on, so it is a lot of investment from the government, these were landmark projects that helped Lagos a lot...
Don't mind that fool. I knew he was stupid when he said NPA and it revenue left Lagos years ago. Lagos state still collects a percentage on all imports through NPA ports and the fool doesn't know.

I have told you people that the best way to start f**king these ingrates off is to stop renting shops to them, stop renting houses to them, and boycott their business. l keep telling my fellow yorubas that ibos are by far more evil thank fulanis. The only reason they have not really showcase their madness is because they don't have the political power to do so, that is why they are trying to force obi on nigerians. should obi becomes the next president, nigeria is doomed. I guarantee you that we will go into the 2nd civil war. They are exporting their population across nigeria for 2 reasons, 1: for greener pastures, 2: to build ibo colonys for the future war of dominance.

FULANIS AND IBOS LOVE STEALING AND CLAIMING OTHER PEOPLE'S LAND AND IDENTITY. FELLOW NIGERIANS BE WARNED

Why can't Igbos just leave South West for good. It beats my imagination why my people are still down there in numbers. With what I read online daily, man, I wouldn't tempt the devil to set up any form of business in the south west. I'd rather move north.
Move your businesses down east. Start patronizing southern ports, over time it will boom. This is just not making sense.

It was the FCT for 77 years, it is like you saying that Gbagyi people are not begging any person to develop Abuja, the resources alone from the FG in developing Abuja, 90% comes from other regions same with when Lagos was FCT...

Do you have any source to prove that 90% or do you just imagine it in your head just like you people like to do because you people don't go by facts and figures. The indigenes of Abuja did not beg anyone to come to Abuja. in fact, it was a blessing for them that Abuja was chosen. FG could have picked another city. that is why I don't invest my money beyond yorubaland. Lagos state was chosen and when FG left, Lagos state started collapsing. In fact, Lagos was hell until tinubu came in to put it back in order.
lagos state had no master plan to create sustainable growth and development in the state until tinubu came in and put things on the right track. let me give you one example from many scenarios, let us look at the transport sector in Lagos state
look at the present transportation in Lagos today and compare it with the yellow molue bus.
even Abuja doesn't have an effective brt system like lagos. they are way toooooo far behind lagos. that is a capital city for that matter.
the success of lagos state today will always be credited to yoruba people. if they did not put lagos in the right shape, people wont go there.
yorubas monopolies every sector in lagos. any other tribe in lagos are just tapping from the blessings of the yorubas. lagos and abuja are completely different.

All the things you have added here can not create 7600% growth in IGR but let me start taking them one by one

Festac - abandoned by FG, not an economic asset for the state. Currently under discussion for transfer. Surrounding areas of Ojo, Agboju and Amuwo Odofin serviced by Lasg.
Third mainland bridge - Federal but not tolled. Lagos state has been responsible for some of its maintenance for years and is now awarding for the 4th mainland bridge
Airport - access road abandoned by FG from 1999 - 2016. Lagos rebuilt direct access road from oshodi to the airport. Airport was disfavoured from 1999 to 2015 in favour of Abuja airport.
National stadium- abandoned by the FGN now transferred to LASG for concessions
National theatre - abandoned by FGN now concessioned and being rebuilt.

Trade fair at Alaba - transferred from FGN to Lagos years ago

What about Lekki, Yaba corridor that produces highest revenue for land certificate fees - developed by LASG
VI and Lagos central business districts - roads rebuilt by LASG?

Hotels - ikoyi and FPH - privatized

I thought you were going to mention the Lagos state ports at Lekki ( including the dangote refinery) and Badagry or the new airport coming up at Lekki. Or the redevelopment at Epe and the rice Mills at Imota. All Lagos.

Look FGN has no viable asset in Lagos that generates any revenue.

When you say oil receipts from SS - what has the SS done with its share which is higher than lagos. And remember Lagos did not receive anything for 6 years under OBJ while other states were being funded. Six whole years at high oil prices o

We are talking about the transformation of a state that could not make ends meet in 1998 to the fifth largest economy in Africa - all done during a period of pdp hostility against lagos.

Let's give lagos and its government their due.

and in a matter of fact I've never tried to made the claim that FG and other tribe never have impact in Lagos but it is ridiculous for other tribe saying that Lagos State belongs to everybody Calabar was also capital for 22years and now abuja Has been capital for 31 years and still counting and why can't we be saying Calabar and Abuja is a no man's land that's what I'm trying to point out bro

Beg ke? I don't remember anyone begging for useless threats. The last time such threat was carried out, it led to civil war. And for your information I am from Delta. Ibos do business in Asaba Wella and no tout collect fees government has already collected like your agberos do in Lagos. The last time I visited Lagos, I felt bad seeing Agbero collecting tax from pure water seller. Pure water of less than 500 naira, a full grown agbero man collected tax of 50. I remember and I had to dash that child 100naira. Lagos should create a civilised tax system. And you receive some sense, everyone is not Ibo.

I am very happy at your response.please continue to resist being bullied or harassed.you cannot be in your own place of buisness minding your buisness and one nuisance that call themselves agberos will think it's their birthright to bully, harass and extort Igbo traders.i am not igbo and this is not a tribal issue as some stupid yorubas are making it look like.na them go first find trouble and na them go still dey play Victim whenever woto woto is given to them.

Many of these agberos that claim lagosians aren't even lagosians if you dig deeper.some are just village nonentities and rejects from their villages that came to Lagos to look for what to eat and decided to become agbero.many of them come from Ibadan, osun, ekiti, Ondo etc.they aren't lagosians by birth

I hate it when people are going through hell in unfavorable conditions to make money and then you Think it's your birthright to forcefully collect their money through extortion.

The painful part is that those agberos commited arson and killed innocent people.those RRS dey form say they came to quell the situation meanwhile those riffraffs saw that they were in the loosing side that's why they called them.if not for RRS agbero dead bodies for don surplus for ground.them think say Alaba market be oshodi, mushin, ladipo or balogun market.

Alaba is a very peaceful, organised and thriving business place.if you go there with peaceful motives even if you no get money as at that time but you came to window shop nobody go reason your matter but you see a peaceful place and you want to destroy people's buisness,Omo you must collect.thry don't even realise some traders are armed

My brother.... It's so sad.
Do you know the worst part of it is that.
Even an individual that comes to the market to buy maybe a television of fridge with his private car will still be forced to pay money to those touts when they see you carrying those appliances in your own private car.....

Man, that is the worst of it.

I'm certain that if this miscreants who are claiming lagosians experience such treatment, they would react in a very condescending manner.

I really don't blame any of them
They think through there anus after consuming and rendering there brains useless with Igbo and weed and zazu bitters

i used to be neutral to these things but i have seen a pattern by a certain ethnic group. I ask again can northern traders in onitsha or Aba try this Every tribe in lagos are being taxed. I witnessed it myself. Wheel barrows and hawkers were being taxed. But as usual you people must single yourselves out. Abeg abeg
The problem with your likes is that you don't venture out of your comfort zones, nobody is against taxation, but the crude method that is being applied in Lagos and some other south western states is barbaric.

If you have travelled to so many states in the North or Southern Nigeria, You can only see able bodied youths carrying 1 meter length plastic tube or wooden pole at every bad spot on a Federal road in the South West. Lagos is on a very alarming situation of Agbero invasion, every corner and junctions are now filled with youths brandishing plastic tubes extorting road users.
Taxation should be refined and modernised so as to avoid multiple and crude method of collection, what is happening in Lagos now is organised criminality.

Please don't think we are all ill-educated like you.

Please do other states not collect a share of federal revenue. Is it only lagos that collects allocation? Are other states forbidden from taxing?

Does Lagos not contribute to federal coffers? is it not the largest contributor to national non-oil revenues, by way of corporate income taxes, Value Added Tax, customs duties, and port charges, among others but are these receipts are distributed to all states on the basis of land mass and population. Lagos does not get preference in the allocation for its size and complexity.

The argument is not that lagos has money, does bayelsea and rivers state not have money, do the eastern states not have oil receipts - what have they been able to do with it? Nothing.

A particular party has been in power in a state for 37 years and you say that the progress in that state is historic?
