"The shambles in the Conservative party has succeeded in making the Labour party look the better bet for handling the economy for the first time in about seventy years; this really is a staggering 'achievement'," Griffin pointed out. "Coupled with the Tories' increasingly strident support for mass economic immigration, it means that the Conservatives have thrown away the only two winning cards in their electoral hand. A change in the ruling party now looks to be the inevitable result of the next general election, which is likely to occur sometime in the second half of 2024."

Is that the Putin effect? grin

"None of this changes anything," Griffin said about the new Tory cabinet. "Parliament is nothing more than a rubber stamp for a plutocratic, deep state establishment, made up of big capital, the Whitehall civil service elite, influential think-tanks, media barons and the security services.

he parliamentary 'choice' between Blue Tweedledum and Pink Tweedledee exists only to provide a fig leaf of popular accountability. The policy of confrontation with Russia, subservience to Washington, and the continuation of the Davos agenda for energy suicide and surveillance corporate feudalism will all continue unabated."

UN at 77: Four Times the World’s International Peace and Security Organization Failed Humanity

President Vladimir Putin, who was serving as Russian's prime minister at the time, and whose position did not allow him to call the shots on foreign policy matters, called the resolution “flawed,” and compared it to a “medieval call for a crusade…allowing for the invasion of a sovereign country.” President Putin’s concerns proved correct, and Libya, once the most prosperous and developed country in Africa, was turned into a failed state rife with open-air slave markets and terrorist activities overnight.

4) Rwanda Tragedy

In 100 days between April and July of 1994, over 800,000 ethnic Tutsis were systematically murdered in the tiny landlocked East African nation of Rwanda by the Hutu majority. The United Nations Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) – which arrived in the country in October of 1993, was made aware of Hutu extremists’ plans to wage a massacre, and of stockpiles of Hutu arms hidden throughout the country.

However, as UNAMIR commander Romeo Dallaire would later attest, his request to intervene to seize the arms caches and halt the genocide was turned down by superiors, allowing the genocide to transpire and resuming the civil war in the country.
In an award-winning memoir chronicling the UN’s failure to act to stop the violence, and the lack of authority, equipment and personnel to carry out the mandated peacekeeping mission, Dallaire would recall how the world turned a blind eye to the worst targeted genocide since World War II.

Dallaire’s experiences in Rwanda left him deeply embittered about the UN’s prospects as a true peacekeeping force. “I still believe that if an organization decided to wipe out the 320 mountain gorillas [in Rwanda] there would be still more of a reaction by the international community to curtail or to stop that than there would be still today in attempting to protect thousands of human beings being slaughtered in the same country,” he said at a memorial event in 2019.

I have no sympathy for dead Nazis (the only good Nazis are dead Nazis).
But the wanton destruction of lives of human beings in Rwanda (under the watch of the UN) is distasteful and very disturbing.
Where was the UN when Kiev was committing atrocities against Ukrainians with Russian ties.
It'll most likely end up like the defunct league of nations.

Two decades after the genocide, declassified cables revealed that US ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright sent a cable to the State Department encouraging Washington to withdraw most of the UN’s peacekeeping forces, with Hutu extremists seeing the move as a “green light for genocide,” according to George Washington University National Security Archive director Tom Blanton.

Smart black man. The national interest of his country came first, not subservience to the West!

President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to ship frigates and a helicopter during a meeting Tuesday.

In particular, the Bissau leader said that his country has small Spanish frigates.

"We would like to get large ships for our Navy. Maybe Russia would be able to supply us with such ships? And then, we’ll see how we can pay for these frigates. Maybe, we will even be able to order a helicopter," Umaro Sissoco Embalo said.

"Alright, we will discuss all that," Putin said.

The Guinea-Bissau President also mentioned the problem of sea piracy. Putin noted that combating such piracy is "a very needed area of cooperation."

"The things that we discussed, it is extremely important to come to a consensus on all these issues," he added.

The leaders also touched upon the issue of extraction of naval biological resources. In particular, Putin mentioned that "it is necessary to build these big trawlers that not only catch fish, but also process them."

He also proposed discussing issues related to the training of personnel.
