Sincerely,the better team won.

As i heard this Clueless Coach didn't have a PK list, i knew we were finished in India. Once bitten, twice shy.

He can't even practice pk and select them from training after the usa game

He dey dere dey knee dan dey pray. Mtchewww undecided

Jiwuaku didn't act like any pk specialist today. She dived for just 2. The rest she just stood. Rubbish.

Sad that nobody wanted to come forward for a pk. It looks like its natural, but it reflects the mental state of this squad under tension.

Alhaji just watch hin girls lose sha. Eeyah.

Omilana should’ve kept instead. Colombians just dey pass the ball inside the net with keeper rooted in the center. The one she managed to catch was because it was played exactly same place she’s stayed throughout

Shouldn't that be on the Goalkeeping coach to have mapped out a strategy on what to do with each penalty?
Couldn't he have devised a plan during training with Jiwuaku on signals from the bench on which side to focus on?
The keeper needed guidance and didn't get it from the coaching staff.
Instead, we had prayer warriors on the bench, hoping on fasting and praying to see us through.

Gusau shows up and the team incurs a loss.

The biggest blame goes to Edafe IMO. Immediately she lost that kick, Nigeria crashed out because that totally ripped the confidence of the team apart.

she didn't need any guidance for that kick. Colombia played almost all their kicks same way...same direction, what other guidance did she need to figure things out? If she had dived for one of them, that would have changed something.

Losing isn't great, but let's take it easy on the girls.

First, it is a developmental competition, so mistakes are expected to be made

Secondly, anyone who watched the girls from the beginning knew they got to this stage 50% by share luck. The luck ran out today.

The most important thing is that we take lessons from this and build from here. Also, we need to pay cognizance to the development and growth of these girls (at the very least, those with enough potentials to grow into th next stage).

The second permutation as I have said has just occured.
Colombia defeating us and it is a matter of luck for Colombia.
Also if Nigeria won it won't make sense meeting spain.
We are finished if we meet Spain.
But Good luck for the girls for breaking a qf jinx and entering a medal contending zone.
I see us meeting Germany for third place.
Can Germany beat Spain?? Certainly not.
But come to think of it,if USA was playing Colombia, have they not played in the group stage already?..
It would be so boring.
Spain haven't met Germany or Nigeria.
A matter of two evens against one odd .see that Nigeria hasn't met Colombia and Spain at all inthis tournament.on paper Colombia were the favorites to win!!!!
Nigeria is an unpredictable team in any competition, this is the lesson here.
But Colombia were the better side.
Colombia had possession, could connect passes and so on
Nigeria didn't have possession and there was no one that could strike forwards or dribble players forward
That's just the nature of the team right from the beginning.
Good job from omilana.
Blame the substitute keeper for standing and not making any movements on the three penalties
Scored against her that led to Colombia victory after sudden death.
She was tired or maybe upset that the burden fell on her.
If faith omilana was keeping would it be a different story
I don't know .
That's another matter for discussion
Congrats to Nigeria's flamingoes .
No shaking.
If we HAD WON WE HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE AGAINST SPAIN

Absolutely. I saw none. Like this is exactly what I'm talking about. The cluelessness of this coaching crew. She obviously showed she lacked any info to help her. Even if she doesn't know where, at least how to go with each pk. This entire pk shows the lack of anticipation from this coach. It's obvious there were no training sessions for specifically this moment. If there were, with the open chance for taking pk, the players aren't Supposed to be reluctant.

Abi this man thinks these are experienced pros ni?

The sort of coaches appointed to be in charge of our national teams is really baffling. Whoever makes these decisions is terrible and clueless. This is what we get when tribalism, religion, gender bias, greed and always wanting to gain personal financial benefits directs everything we've ever done and will do in this country.

If there's a definition of incompetence and Tactical ineptness in the dictionary, i'm sure you'll find the names of every Nigerian national football team coaches in there. What kind of coach/Trainer/manager sets up his/her team to be vulnerable right off the bat and doesn't even bother to tweak the mistakes as the game goes on?. Not only that, you still allowed the girls with tired legs to be out there and banking on making late minute substitutes to come help out in a Penalty Shootout? ( That's the only Tactical change and knowledge he knows and he still can't get it right). He just selected only 5 PK takers and sent the team out there and not accounting that you may need more than 5 takers. So his plan throughout this competition was just to shout and pray from the sidelines and the rest is OYO and YOLO? Smdh!

The save she made was on which side? Her right.
She also was close to one played to her right.
Colombians quickly figured that was her strong suit and started playing to her left, which they all scored.
A descent goalkeeping coach would have noticed that and called her attention to it, through signals or some other means of communication (which would they have derived during training).
That's what coaches are there for.

Let me see if there will be a revival on the field today. Am not against prayers o, but the way we think in Nigeria, we expect God to do everything for us, now since they lost, would they say God forsook them?
Back to the match, the better and deserving team won, qed.

Abi oh what are we doing in finals self?
What ?
Is it Spain we are going there to win ni
I am hoping for a good third place match vs Germany
Iam hoping
The permutations of luck (POL) wasn't for us today but against us.
Secondly if it was USA meeting Colombia it won't make any sense!!!!
It would just be like playing group stage games repeatedly.
Nigeria were the odd team both sides in this tournament.
We won evenly thrice and lost oddly twice
USA won evenly thrice and lost oddly once
Brazil won evenly thrice and lost oddly once
It's only Spain that won without even or odds
Germany won oddly against Nigeria!!!!
It's as clear as it is and there is nothing we can do
Spain would beat us in the final.
In any competition there has to be an odd win and an even loss always.
Tournament favorites losing oddly is great for the game and tournament underdogs winning evenly is great for the fgame.
The parameters at this age grade competition is such that these little girls are prone to make mistakes and it can go for or against their favours.
