Nigeria alone can not take the blame . UK government lost a lot of worker during Covid and Brexit and they turned to commonwealth countries to steal their talent

government is to blame

Rilwayne001:

With the kain subsidy on tertiary education in Nigeria, Federal Government practically sent these doctors to school, because no where in the world do you study medicine and surgery with such small school fees being paid by MBBS students in Nigeria Universities.

They should be giving back to the society that train then, not run from it.

Education is expensive in advanced countries oh

Ideally, the situation in Nigeria that some of you attribute as contributing to doctors leaving Nigeria, should be that which not only keeps Nigeria Doctors in Nigeria but attract doctors from other Nations. This is since, ideally, Doctors should be running towards porverty not running from it.
what part of the medical code of conduct says that? Somewhat like the rich deserves less of medical attention. This mentality of yours lacks balanced diet.

Nigeria is noting but upside down

It is beginning to be the most terrible place for one to practice his/her proffession. The place does not appreciate those using their talents, intellect, high technical skills to better humanity. Instead to insults and humiliate them.

The sciences generally, medical sector, the ICT sector, now our educational sector is under attack or threat of japaing.
And who can blame them. Nigerian doctors, IT specialist, and other disciplines are highly regarded across the globe. I am a Naija doctor in the US and they've recently increased my salary to nearly $500,000 per annum. Imagine leaving the money and respect afforded to a professional in America to practice in a country like Nigeria where the government doesn't care if you live or die and to get paid for your work is an issue. Nigeria needs to learn to respect it specialized staff. ITs not easy to train and become a medical, IT or any professional for that matter.

Vote Obi and many highly trained Nigerians will return. The ball in in nigeria's court.

If these Foreign countries mean well for Nigeria, they will repatriate those 91 doctors back to Nigeria to serve their mother’s land.

As a medical doctor, the reason myself and many off my mates left Nigeria is because of the stress we went through in university. I can't go all through that stress to get a peanuts pay and a hospital with no facility.
Our lecturers treat us like dogs, nurses hates us etc, and yet they want us to become normal human beings and treat while being owed or payed peanut. I have no reason to be patriotic sorry

I will only return if the state of our hospitals is better and our politicians start receiving treatment at home. And our medical school should start caring about medical students mental health, they need to be treated as humans.

Who told you a doctor in Nigeria is trained with less than $1000 as fee thru their stay in the Uni?
Please get in touch with medical students in public universities first then those of private before you regurgitate what NGIGE and Ehanire seem to have vomited into you.

Entrance level fee into ordinary school of nursing in UCH as at today is about N350k.
I will not mention the fees for medicine at Babcock, Redeemers and others

Argue with fact.

Go and verify, got an engineering degree without even spending up to $500. Medicine in Federal schools don't spend up to that in terms of tuitions. Reason why the Very poor of the poor can study Professional courses. The prices by Babcock and Redeemer is actually the true cost for obtaining a degree In the said cost.
